Sometimes more is not better. The beauty of U2 songs is most are simple arrangements with lots of room to improvise. Tori did a great job here even if I don’t think it served the song well.
That was so haunting & wonderful.. Thinks she likes the lyrics more than Bono. This has always been one of my favourite U2 tracks!! She emphasises some of the lyrics more & prolongs the song which I think is magical. I’m sure all the boys from U2 would agree??
@kjulietraven whatever she's doing, I fully encourage it because I *love* her voice. it's more soothing to me than anything else on the really, REALLY bad days.
Totally misses the tone and purpose of the song. Sounds like it could be a cover of just any random song done in the "tori amos" style. Tori's done some amazing work, but this ain't it. Total miss.
