I am always impressed with your attention to detail. Your head is always in the game instead of just going through the motions. For us viewers it makes us think as well. Long dark days ahead, stay safe.
Another interesting video. You have the most patience of anyone I know. You just keep going and doing what you have to do without complaining ...and filming it all as well.
Yeah there's people that complain that they have to do something that they don't want to have to do. But if they would just go ahead and get it done it would be better because they would have it over and done with. 😅
You can always add an additional light to use for when the manure pump is connected. Just go off of the 12V power bus. Did it on a backhoe to have a step light.
For the weights of your place you have to remember you don’t have the lagoon crawler in there yet stirring up the sand you’ll gain your weight once that sand gets mixed in with the liquid
Brass propellers on the walls run by electric motors can be permanently mounted. Alternatively, airlines can be installed at the bottom of the pit in a grid pattern that can be turned on, and the air will agitate the lagoon.
Is there a reason you don't put the fool tube off the right side of the pump tractor? Then you could drive around the pit and pull under, not having to backup each time. Seems it would make each fill faster
In my experience hauling sand manure, unless it is stirred up properly u won't get full loads. It just foams because of the sand and the parlor wash water if that runs in there too 🤷♂️ so it can be a frustrating experience sometimes
I milked a double 12 when I was young, and yes it is true you do not smell it after a bit. Also helps a bit that you get a lot of manure on you when milking anyway :)
The sand in your manure not being suspended is where you get the weight. It’s all about the density of your manure. If you get it mixed up with the crawler and why your weigh up close to 60,000.
Look into remote control mounted roof lights. That way you can adjust them for different task you are doing. $50 to $200 well worth the price if it saves you time.
In my opinion you guys should be having your pit pump agitating the whole time between loads. Getting your tanker to weigh more full = more solids in suspension when we pump hog barns we leave the pit pump run the whole time and just stop agitating while filling. Thats the only way to get the pit clear empty vs stopping and starting youll only get the liquid and leave solids behind.
Hallo einfach eine K 80 Kugel am schlepper verbauen. So wie in Deutschland dann ist der Verschleiß minimiert und es entstehen keine schläge beim anfahren und abbremsen echt eine super Sache.
Should you shop around now for a new tire for the tractor so that you can get the best price? You could just keep it in your inventory until you actually need it.
You may want to start thinking about getting away from sand bedding , one day that sand pit will run out of sand and with no back-up plan bad things can happen . 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
What ever happened to "Bring a stool and a bucket and milk the cow" So much science n tech in dairy farming today.Your videos [and your sisters] are so imformative. Thanks
The bales didn't properly wrap when discharged from baler & thus couldn't be properly picked up. The broken bales would have to be respread out into swaths to be picked up by baler thus requiring extra time which wasn't a priority since they successfully got a great yield of bales this year.
I hope the mild temperatures continue for you, including into subsequent years. Also regarding your bale collection, have you seen an improvement in the number of broken bales? I assume you’re improving your after year on picking up bales. It’s interesting. Your temperatures may be very similar to the Salt Lake City area. I was talking to my brother there. The mountains are quite a bit higher and they are getting snow up there. He’s happy.

I was just thinking the same thing. Noticing the tire wear, the weight problem, this guy is smart! 😂😂
Glad you’re uploading videos more often now… 👍👍👍
I hope that the weather holds out for you to finish hauling, we just got a dump of 8" of wet snow south of Calgary.

Hi Jan. Your manure spreader AKA “The Politician” is hard at work. I always enjoy watching your videos. God bless and stay safe. 🙏🏻💖from Saskatoon.
For backing up in dark put a block of wood behind trailer tyre when its in right spot daytime it makes it a lot easier in dark
I really like all your videos Jan , but the manure videos I find very interesting. Thank you.

Great job Thanks for the video
Very good job!!

I love your " Mad City " cap. I live in Elroy, Wisconsin and see Mad City windows commercials on TV

Good morning, always seems like something needs replacing... keep your head up :)
Good video.

Jan, great video as always. The work of a dairyman is NEVER done. Love the content, stay warm if you can.
Great Video!
Goede middag🐄🚜🌾
Love the cap! #wisconsin
The weight will depend on the amount of sand you put in the wagon. More sand heaver less lighter.
The sand in your manure not being suspended is where you get the weight. It’s all about the density of your manure. If you get it mixed up with the crawler and why your weigh up close to 60,000.
Dad is running the Mx285 very smooth
🇨🇦👍
Do you till the fields soon after spreading before the ground freezes or wait till spring ?

You guys should be using Ball and spoon hitch save so much wear and a lot safer than pin and clevis.
Have you guys thought of a light or light tower for the lagoon? 😊
Great video brother from the imperial county ca 🇺🇲🇺🇲💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

I think that size tanker was designed for a larger tractor.
Hi Jan how many hours have you put on the mx285 this year??

How many acers yal farm & how much manure yal produce a yr ?
He said, "Number 2 when it is full." I guess.
The density of your manure with the sand in it is where you get
Holy ShhhHiiiT 😂
Denmark Here 😊 .. ..

Sand on the bottom of the tank.
I am wandering why don’t you get gps on the magnum then you can surely do longer hours

Why don’t you put a 12 V light mammoth to the top of the spout and run it off the tractor that’s pumping
Wait whats the reason for the burned bales?
The bales didn't properly wrap when discharged from baler & thus couldn't be properly picked up.
The broken bales would have to be respread out into swaths to be picked up by baler thus requiring extra time which wasn't a priority since they successfully got a great yield of bales this year.
Didn’t u take a bunch of stuff off this spreader
Could it be that you don’t have as much sand incorporated in the liquid so it’s not as heavy as usual
I hope the mild temperatures continue for you, including into subsequent years.
