Only 75? You can't get any trades person on location around here for less then a $250 minimum. I am a pentester, but 99% digital. Every time I have picked a lock at work its been either a lost or broken key to save that $250 call out.
@@amihirata I'll have to make the tool later then I just need to find a wafer lock that I'm aloud to try it on. Can you post the dimensions for the tool online or at least a scan of it next to a ruler? Also how thick is it?
@@danieljaworski1294 I took a screen shot of the tool at 1:39 and measured the pixels. If the tool tapers down to 0.25" in the thin part, then it's about 0.36" at the thick part (start of the taper). You could start with something like a DIY pick set (e.g., "Make Your Own Picks" at Southern Specialties) which seems to be 0.32", or you can probably get more metal for your money by buying feeler gauge though it's usually 0.5" so you *may* have to cut it down - search for 2319A19 on McMaster-Carr website which should be 10 Feet Long x 1/2" Wide x 0.02" Thick. Then you can not only make this tool but also picks and tension wrenches if you want, as a lot of the DIY videos for picks and tension tools use feeler gauge.

This looks very simple rather than waiting 3 days for some jiggle keys Ive ground down a metal rule and going to try this on my garage door that I've been looking for the key for the whole weekend 😆 fingers crossed it works if not better open the wallet
You can do this with a wide z bar in a lot of cases with a little fiddling. The number of lock that you can open with nothing but a z bar is a little alarming. Either over tensioning attacks like this or just using it as a jiggler in locks with sloppy tolerances

It's also call "Pentesting" (short for penetration testing). Red teams/Pentesters need a huge range of skills and knowledge- it's a lot more than just picking locks but picking is part of it.
Will this work on double sided wafer locks my uncle passed away and no body can find the keys to the gun safe i was originally going to make a bogota rake but the gf wont let me have a bra wire and no way am i buying a bra for just the wire
When's the last time you changed your windshield wipers? Some guys use the wires in those to make tools/picks/shims, and those wires are basically free from the garbage can of your local auto parts store if your wipers don't have them or don't need to be replaced.

Wow, didn't know you could do the overset method on wafers. Nice one.
Saw a locksmith do this at work for 3 file cabinets. Cost the owner about $25 per cabinet.
