my first superchunk show was Cat's Cradle fall, 1991 and I think the last time was at Bottom of the Hill and Mac had his baby in a harness if that dates it - -although it might have been Portastatic -- been a while. Nineteen-ninety-nine in Palo Alto was certainly a highlight. It would feel like cheating to see them without Laura.

Feels like cheating on Bob Mould, too, but Narducy and Wurster are about as good as it gets.

It was weird at first. I first saw them in '94 at the Cradle and probably saw them at least thirty times after that before Laura left. Narducy is really good though. Solid player, great energy. Plus, after following him on Instagram for a few years, he seems like a really good person.

@@Ace_Hunter_lives Laura didn't leave she is still in the band she just can't do tours because she developed a serious issue with her hearing called hyperacusis (a condition marked by oversensitivity to certain sounds, hearing loss and ringing in the ears). She still records and plays on all the albums and videos and TV appearances and also still co manages Merge Records with Mac but cannot do the tours. :(
