What's the lift spec's on that cam? Looking for a cam for my N/A 408, port n polished L92 heads, full bolt on, 410gears, built for street and looking something for mid/top end... do u recommend it ??
Solid roller, hydraulic roller, hydraulic flat tappet, solid flat tappet? What size converter? From my experience, pick a camshaft with good low to midrange for the 3.75 stroke and use a slightly heavier spring than recommend. It will pull like crazy to 7000 and above if needed but it's the same stroke virtually as a 427. Treat it like a big block as far as rpms go and it'll last forever and it'll kick the crap out of most stuff you run up on...

Prob flat tops at close to 12 to1. The big cams eat the static compression up so you can run pump gas for cruising without no2. With no2 higher octane fuel and low timing. I compromise with 427 Ls3 Dart pro1 head. 11.6 to 1. It gets some street driving with a 700 lift Cam Motions LLSR.

Lsx_Ty you should see 5 to 600 off motor as long all your parts are working together with a good tune, rule of thumb is 1.5 hp to ci............ so 408 ci = about 612 hp
Rico Turk it is a racetronix 255 with hotwire kit. stock lines from the tank. super victor with edelbrock fuel rails. 52lb hr injectors from blue demon. and a holley efi 4150 throttle body. if you need more info feel free to ask

Used eagle 4340 4.00 forged crank, eagle 4340 6.125 I beam rods, and wiseco -3cc flat top nitrous pistons. Have prc 247cc heads 68 combustion chambers. I’m at 11.3:1 compression. I used this cam, fast 92 intake, nick William 92 Tb, all arp studs and bolts, made 563rwhp all motor, still gotta get my nitrous tunes done but those internals I just mention above will handle 450+ shot. But gm cast block are only good for a 500 shot before you start running into issues
I was thinking about going the exact same way. H/C/I right now with a 125 shot on a ls6. That 200 shot looks fun though. What block and compression did you go with? I'm in Denver as well.

its a 6.0 iron with a 4.030 bore and 4 inch stroke bringing it to 408 cubic inches.. it has power everywhere and is fun to drive even at high altitude where im losing 20% of my power.
Mr Rico me personally I run comp short travel drop in race lifters with this cam, another good choice is Johnson short travel slow leak down tie bar lifters
Either the 470 or 613. I would guess 613 tho. 470 would be with the 408 and cam and good tune alone. I make 431whp with just 408 smaller cam and stock heads and intake, through a 80e and stock fuel pump on 93.

How does that cam drive on the street? It's big. Been talking to Tooley about doing it and the TFS245 with N2O Port on a 416.
JakeFusion honestly it wasn't too bad with a LOOSE stall and lots of tuning. your 416 will run great with those heads and cam for sure!

i was running pacesetter 1 3/4 headers. custom x pipe and dynomax bullets dumped before the axle.
