Dude, first of all please excuse my English, I'm from Costa Rica my first language its Spanish. I've been watching your videos since the C7 turbo whistle. Today I realized I was doing everything wrong. I just came from a party to watch your latest video (this one) and I can barely hear you with my Mac book inside speakers. I plug some headphones and turn the volume all the way up and its being one of the best experiences ever. Hearing this engines at loud its freaking amazing. Love your channel. HELL YEAH BROTHER!

For those of you who doubt the lengths we go to in Florida to cope with lightning let me share with you what Summers were like growing up for me in Florida. Where I grew up was kind of rural as in dirt roads and all that and whenever we hear a clap of thunder we had to run around the house and unplug all of the televisions and appliances that could be unplugged and then prayed that the other items would be safe. Unplugging everything before leaving home was crucial in the summer. Unfortunately sometimes we would forget to unplug things before we leave the house for the day and a thunderstorm would roll through while we were out. Over the years we had several security systems, air conditioners, televisions, computers and appliances get fried. This was the 90's so we didn't have cell phones or LED lights and the power got knocked out constantly when transformers got hit. We spent so much time in the dark reading with a candle it's not even funny.

Lightning causes problems with electronics? You sound like those people that talk about that white stuff they have funny looking lawn mowers or shovels for, or the ones who have the spinning wind that takes out communities. We just get little dirt devils and the lightning stays away from our houses. We are good here...........unless the big one splits us at the San Andreas. I live 10 miles South and towards the beach/LA from the fault line. PS Send drinking water please!

Man that lighting strike, those afternoon pop up thunderstorms in Florida don't eff around. They tend to have more lightning than storms in Tennessee but they rarely get severe winds/tornados in Florida(except hurricanes) Whenever we go to the beach in Navarre our crew lives by the old man schedule to avoid those afternoon storms. Get up early, drink beer and bake on the beach from like 8 to noon. Eat a light lunch, hang out, take a nap, go out to dinner around 5:00-5:30 to avoid the crowds. Go drink at the bars until 8 or 9pm, go to bed early and sleep off the booze lol.
Hope you go and put the biggest show on there Brother, love all your crew, Sam is the 99 man lol

Was thinking the same thing but then remembered how flat Florida is, the trees are the tallest things out there and being that close to a large building with a lot of electrical energy probably makes them more likely to be struck. Like someone else mentioned, a tall, tall flagpole with a lightning rod on it would be a good idea to draw the attraction away from the shop.

3-4 band goes bad all the time in the 4L60s. if you build yourself do a 5 pinion front and rear, with a kevlar band. its whats in my car. handles it well.

Lightning will do some strange shit! Had a job years ago as Warranty Engineer for a Diesel Engine manufacturer. Got a call one day about a BIG one in a crane. Seems it was boom up and a thunderstorm came across. Afterwards the engine wouldn't turn over, just grunt, no turn. Long story short lightning hit the top of the boom and burned off a patch of paint 2' in diameter! The bolt passed through the boom down to the outriggers, which were sitting on steel plates. It also welded all the bearings to the crank and cam. Along with frying almost every electrical component in the machine. Turned out the crane was a total write off (and they didn't get a free engine under Warranty like they expected either). 😆
