Just letting you know you're featured on the BangGood Page for the IRX4 Plus! Well put together Video, quick and concise demo of all the important aspects. Great work! Also love the dry humor such as at 6:48
Hey thanks! Many people miss the little humour I inject in most videos, it is rather obtuse! Please consider subscribing if you haven't done so already!!
You're welcome! I have just upgraded to a Radiomaster Tx16S which has all the protocols built in. I chose the version with a vacant module bay which I put an ELRS module so now I have all my bases covered. Have a great day!!
6.15 I believe that the SymaX protocol is used for most of the X5, X8 and other Syma variants (blue Tx LED) while the X5C is for the older X5. (Not X5C-1 and on.)
Hello, thank you for the video, just subscribed. What version of Taranis firmware do you have? Is it older protocol or the new one? I am still on the old one...
Welcome aboard! I try to use the latest firmware for both the transmitter and receiver(s) also the iRangeX. I show the procedure here : ruclips.net/video/havMSMVUOmM/видео.html
Thank you, I just subscribed, somehow i cant get the S6R to connect, my taranis is not working and I want to use this external module, I am able to connect to flysky correctly though but no luck with FRSky
Hi, thanks for subscribing. Here is something that has caught me out several times, firmware revisions. Check that the Taranis and ALL receivers have the latest firmware, they will not bind otherwise. The same is true for the irangeX module, keep it up to date.
I do not think so. It is mainly designed for OpenTx transmitters. However there is a "work around" you can see here : ruclips.net/video/xm6JPrKPHck/видео.html Thanks for watching, have a great day!
How did you set up this module to work with the JR radio. I want to use with my old 8103 radio for indoor fliers. I tried...it binds but not servo info is sent to receiver. I was using DSM2 protocol settting. bind indicated no functions.
@@1nformatica I set the protocol correctly. My module in the 8103 bound to the receiver. Receiver and module were easy to bind. Issue I had is no control information went from radio to reciever. Hello, thanks for the video. Have the same module with the Taranias, my problem the green LED is always on. In the video when burning it is the same with you. If you are in serial mode, is the green LED off or on ?
I am in serial mode. Both green and red are on all the time. When switching on the Tx only the red flashes for a short time then when the green comes on they are both solid.
Hi, very interesting vidéo. I have a Walkera WK-1001 transmiter and i would like to make it work with this IRangeX IRX4 module and a Walkera RX2604 2,4ghz. The Walkera transmitter looks very similar to your older JR X -388S. Sorry but i do not know much about protocol types, and i don't know how to proceed with settings and binding with receivers (to much used to RTF products). Could you please help me ?
Hi, I am not sure what you want to achieve. The WK-1001 has a module bay similar to the JR but I don't think it is exactly the same size, there is a design on thingiverse to make an adapter : www.thingiverse.com/thing:1041499 Aside from that the transmitter could only control the iRange module by PPM I think. That means messing around with the rotary switch on the iRange to change protocols. I really think you would be better off getting a new transmitter with the multiprotocol feature built in.
