Season 2 episode 4 ending scene

Cole here is genuinely concerned. That shows he is more than a power seeker. He does have strong loyalty
Cole would be such better char if they stick to him being great commander and big king supporter. These last 2 eps show it
He was a man without purpose.
He found that purpose but broke a vow tied to it, and as a result felts lost.
Alicent and the boys gave him a purpose again.
Well, in the book he was only a powerseeker who caused the whole war by crowning Aegon
@@rockmetalfan7885 we don't know what he was for sure in the book.
He was never seeking power in the show tho lol.
Cole def wishing he went to sell oranges anyway lol he hates this job
What about Alicent's bottom cave.
Best comment. Ever.
You can see how Cole feels like a father who failed his kid. I genuinely think that Aegon could have turned different if he was disciplined and pushed to be better without being belittled, some kids need that one person to believe in them until they gain their own self-confidence. Out of the kids we've seen, Helaena is the only decent one and she has to suffer for her family's sins. Alicent only showed kindness to her daughter and now her sons have serious issues. The way Alicent always treated him might also be the reason for Aemond's bullying. She transfers her shame and anger onto Aegon who then humiliates Aemond.
This is clearly on Aemond
Aemond was decent even after the loss of his eye. He's not anymore but he was cool for a time
The last half of this episode was pure tragedy. If you read in advance, you knew both Aegon and Sunfyre were about fly to their doom after their little bonding moment, because his mother, the very person who encouraged him to take the throne in the first place, admitted she had no faith in him. And then hearing Sunfyre, a beautiful dragon, cry out in pain as he was savaged and torn from the sky, was terrible. He had no business going up against a war-hardened dragon like Meleys. Then there was Rhaenys’ death, softened at least as she accepted it with grace. You could tell in hers and Meleys’ eyes before they strafed back around for Vhagar that she knew she was about to die. And ofc, there was Ser Criston walking through a graveyard of the burning dead, akin to walking through nuclear fallout, which is essentially the consequence dragon warfare presents. In no way could either side truly call this a victory. Amazing episode, can’t wait to see more.
I think Cole accidentally stopped aemond from finishing aegon
Not sure tho. He sheathed his sword before cole called Aemonds name.
Nah. He was just sheathing his sword
Sunfyre turned on his wounded belly side so that he doesn't crush Aegon under his heavy weight and he coiled him around so what would stop him from razing Aemond? Aemond is stupid but I don't believe he is that dumb to try to kill someone who is protected by a dragon.
Aside from being a grudging lover, Cole is actually a brilliant commander, caring mentor, and extremely brave & skilled warrior.
He fucked up going out during the day. Gwayne knew it.
@@kitchensarehot8769he knew his glory and wins would piss off his ex and bait them onto attacking with a dragon and banked on rhenerya showing up herself out of spite to personally put him down
Yr
Cole is more bothered than Aemon
Bc Aegon bullied Aemond his entire life. Got a superiority complex after Rooks Rest then got a reality check in episode 7.
I get why some people read this as Aemond mercy-killing, but that doesn't make any sense. We see Aemond the entire time, after he stops by the dagger he never moves back or forth. Given the camera pan to Sunfyre's neck curled around Aegon I think it safe to say Aemond is anywhere from 6-10 metres away from Aegon, so if that weird sword movement is supposed to be Aemond stabbing down on Aegon his one remaining eye is obviously causing him problems.
Well why is Aemond carrying his sword out? Cause it's a battle? Cause he's that sort of paranoid always at the ready sort of warrior? Well, why the movement down? To begin the action he finishes after Cole shouts his name. Putting the sword in its hilt. Why? So he can examine the dagger he's standing in front of. I don't even think he was trying to kill Aegon earlier, I just think he values defeating enemies over aiding allies, which the show is telling us backfires by harming your allies, the inverse of Rhaenyra being kind to Mysaria which then saves her life.
Man, when that armor fell apart with nothing but ash within... That was horrifying.
So far, Cole has doing a bang-up job as kindguard and hand of the king.
Lol, he let Haelena's son get assassinated.
I really sad to see Sunfyre death. He was mean for Baelon.
He isn’t dead.
King Regent Aemond with the smooth walk off with the catspaw dagger
When Cole realizes that indeed he is kingmaker, one of the first men who saw just how dangerous dragon vs dragon was, Fabien well done mate as well as (Ewan)Aemond for the coldest walk off a set and Sunfyre coiling himself around Aegon and Rhaman Djawadi the fucking great❤
Its moments like these that make a HoD character, a GoT level character. Complexity.
The most hated man in the show showing such a human reaction to the horrors of dragon war and seeing a kid who's like a nephew to him, be burned in front of him.
Poor Sunfyre. Aegon deserved this, Sunfyre didn't.
Honestly neither one of them deserved this Aegon didn’t even want to be king to begin with the drug that man back and said be our puppet and nothing else plus he just had his child’s head cut off and body used as propaganda
@@KTS. This. So much this. In addition to the fact that his mother, the driving force behind why he took the crown, admitted she didn’t believe in him. Still, very sad to see what happened to Sunfyre.
@@revenant7005 Doesn't take away the fact that he was always an insensitive prick and a coward. Once he got the taste of power he showed his self loathing side.
Look at Jace in contrast, if he dies people can say he didn't deserve it. Aegon had it coming.
@@vishnujain7645 Insensitivity doesn’t necessarily mean that anyone deserves to be a victim of manipulation and used by their family members for political gain simply because of the circumstance of their birth. Also, you’re calling the guy who flew into battle against a much larger, far more battle-hardened dragon a coward? You sure you’re not thinking of Joffrey? Aegon’s reckless no doubt, but a coward he is not. And he DEFINITELY did not let go of his self-loathing. The whole reason he went off to fight at Rook’s Rest in the first place was because his entire council, his own brother and mother, saw him as a weak King. Not only that, but also because of all the doubt he held that not only he was the rightful King of Westeros, but whether he *deserved* to be, a doubt that’s been with him his entire life but completely boiled over in this episode. Fact is, if Aegon had a family that loved him more than the crown he would inherit, he’d have turned out better. Dude was a victim of the Hightower’s ambitions, plain and simple.
@@vishnujain7645 Aegon way more interesting char than Jace. Boring pretty boy withoit many flaws is boring tv
I felt the worst for Sunfyre. Sunfyre was a good boy who didn’t deserve to get rekt (but you’ll REALLY hate him for what he eventually does)
I love what Sunfyre does later on. Rhaenerya is a horrible person who started this war.
And what he does? He is a dragon, you know? He just does what his rider commands
Such an awesome depiction of how awful and bloody dragon war fare is. Aemond walking off covering himself in glory after killing off a dragon on their side.
He thought he was invincible afterwards until he fell upon Rhaenyra’s new dragon riders.
Kid’s baked into the steel
I really hope we will see this scene and more of Aegon's body, cause here this scene was way to quick
He ent dead you’ll see him again
They'll definitely show and explain what happened to Aegon and Sunfyre in the next episode. If you listen carefully in this scene, you can hear both of them still breathing, so both Aegon and sunfyre are not dead yet.
Sunfyre got foooooocked up
Vhagar's fire.
He fought like a champ though, with zero battle experience
@@judigemini178 it don't think there was any fighting on his end just a ton of "getting wrecked"
@@vijaybhogal456 He wouldnt back down & he survived even after all that 'getting wrecked' by 2 dragons bigger and far more war seasoned than him
@@judigemini178 He did a suicide mission and took a hit for his drunken rider nothing like a fight lol.
Meleys was fiery though she wrecked Sunfyre and threw an indomitable ancient dragon to the ground. If any Dragon fought like a champ it was Meleys for the Queen who never was.
Damn Cole loves Aegon more than anyone in his family , except maybe Sunfyre or his kids
Oooff! Valyrian steel is melted into Aegon's flesh. Horrible sight.
They don't say it for no reason.
The one true king Aegon!
That’s when he realized green Team isn’t honorable
Cole has been like thier father figure. It would have been more merciful to allow Aemond to end Aegon here..given he is about to suffer a very slow painful death.
he doesnt die just yet
No. He actually gets finished off fast later on and lives on for years and years after this.
You clearly haven't read the books
