As a low blast/blast last myself, I have little sense of urgency. It drives people around me crazy sometimes, but when I do gear up to do something, I do it really well. This is not great in terms of chores since getting chores done is about getting them done, not about doing them perfectly, but it is useful for all the more intellectual things that occupy my time. @@HUGzJayGon There's a video on this channel explaining the terminology that is called 'Blast Play Sleep Consume'. Link: ruclips.net/video/fJASQW4cr08/видео.html Hope it helps :)
this is why my iPad alerts me throughout the day to the things i need to do - but the bad thing about that is that it’s really easy to reschedule them... 🙃 hence i rarely get things done unless i have an externally imposed deadline. INFP with low blast.
An analogy I've used to explain my own Blast last to a friend of mine was by making him picture a fort or castle surrounded by a moat. Me finding a new topic would, in this case, mean that I'd just run around in said fort reading up on everything I could find before asking anyone around about it, usually to add more or confirm what I'd already gathered. After this I still need some time to process whatever heap of information I've collected. This is where the moat comes into the picture. "Sleeping" in the water would sometimes have me stuck there for ages only to come up on the same side as where I started. In other words whenever the information actually does come out it's usually filled to the brim with tangents and tidbits that most people won't even be able to register because I've spent too much time churning through everything I'd been able to find on the topic... Short and good video as per usual, also probably raised my cortisol levels a few notches even just thinking about setting up deadlines even though I'm already working on that very same thing on a daily basis... Oh well, what can you do haha, just gotta keep going at it. Have a good one people!

This video gave me anxiety. Good job 😃 It is really odd how pulling the trigger on things can be so scary, but most of the time when I start getting things done it flows quite smoothly. It seems to have a lot to do with the "topic of focus". Whatever it is for me, it gets all the attention, and I will learn about it until it gets boring. The issue crops up when just about anything else needs to get done.
I totally get this. I know I bring up work a lot, but it is the best example, lol. At work I definitely have the sense of urgency that so many on my team do not. Though this is why I got promoted. :p As the example though, while I don't always get through my tasks (since I can overload myself with things that need done) I always manage to do more than my subordinates. Using a specific example, I've become the new deli manager. Part of the new thing we have to do is make salads and other fresh food items. I can complete the prep and still have time for a couple other tasks before the end of my 8 hour shift. My subordinates have shown that they can only accomplish (and this is being charitable) a 1/4th of the same amount of prep in that time. And to be clear this was after a week of learning the new product. I learned it and have the sense of urgency that allows me to accomplish my goal. I'm talking to the boss of replacing my team with those who have a sense of urgency, since we had this problem even before the new product was introduced to us.... *sigh*
But consuming is so much more enjoyable. Telling people stuff never feels I know enough about what I'm saying. Without external urgency, pushing me, I inevitably wonder what's the rush. I can imagine scheduling myself like that and then making them all consume tasks. Not as intended.

My brain doesn't compute... have to watch it again probably 🤣 How can you know how much time a task takes? They always take more time, in my case and then I get frustrated and mad at myself for not being able to meet my planning. Usually I just start and work on a task consistently and then it's done when it's done... But there are never enough hours in a day... Wish I had Ni, you savior Ni's are awesome 😍
Your best time estimation + an additional 1/3rd of that time tacked on for buffer. Then the next time you do something similar you can always apply what you learned from the actual time from above to that!
Good info, but blast last's definitely have a sense of urgency; however that is probably dependent upon function order. I feel like I am ALWAYS behind, I have to have a very rigid to do list every single day so I don't feel overwhelmed. But I think feeling overwhelmed and like "it's just not enough" is the perpetual neverending state of blast last. All of this comes down to self-insight and knowing your personal timelines for things. I map out timelines for company concepts, launches, creations, all the time... I think operating on (sometimes flexible) deadlines is very healthy for blast last, but I am always kind of balancing a line of panic attack when I have them. Blast in general as it is displayed in the external world, is just VERY stressful and VERY uncomfortable, it makes anyone with blast last retreat from it constantly and want to stay in SC/CS forever and ever. that being said....I'm off to make a to do list for the weekend.
To do lists really help the body lasters so much! Often it’s the execution of the list though that they drag out because the urgency to complete doesn’t really compute. How many things are on your typical list per day and how many do you finish?
@@InternetLiJo Ok, I will say about half the time I will push some things on my to do lists onto other days and it usually just comes down to me prioritizing urgencies and deadlines. I think "a sense of urgency" is more connected to someones ambition, than necessarily blast last. One thing I've looked at in type animal stack correlation is those that are blast last who are ambitious and successful, it is MASSIVE (Bill gates, Kim Kardashian, Elon Musk).. which leads me to believe that once blast lasters actually get going we are like a crazy rocket ship. Doesn't mean it's consistent, but having that consistent blast in life will forever be the struggle. My daily to do lists are usually 3-10 things. I think focusing on ONE thing at a time is the best way to complete them for me personally.
I always thought I had really high blast because I'm controlling the tribe a lot. But I really get like nothing done in the day. 😂😂😂 Oh well, I'm keeping up with my habits at least.
Can you tell me the animal stack of brain dumpers? Or do a video about them? I really like this explanation on blast. Could you do some videos on the other animals?
I have no sense of time and I don’t realize if I ended up doing a lot of things. I don’t feel like I got much done. The time goes slow like a void. Apparently I do things quick. But I feel like molasses during whatever it is I’m doing. This is once started. Maybe procrastination is different. But once doing, I honestly have no clue but am lucky (within context of work) to actually do ‘all these things’ but if you ask me; I genuinely have no clue not trying to be modest. It’s kind of scary bc I can’t keep track of what’s going on. But Idk if it’s the time I can’t keep track of or my own speed. I’m not sure. It’s hard to slow down though. But I don’t ‘feel’ it , how can I even tell?
What is the reason when one has sense of urgency, but anxiety of not getting it done perfectly and in time keeps from doing it and consuming more stuff?
I’d like to think I crush my to do list. I don’t procrastinate. Everything is done before my done deadline. My business is growing really well, daily workouts, only thing I prob don’t commit time to is socializing. But...... in the big picture Ni type planning or big decisions, for example im planning to sell my house, that’s when I’m tempted to be like “I have time”. Should I look at the these instances with the same urgency as my daily to do list?
this video hits hard.. But.. How.. How can you just do things..? Blast feels so tedious. I have to tell myself to do one little step after another. And each step feels like death to me.. I just want to be left alone in my misery xD
We realize that AI and Quantum computing is here and we should have done these “things” already. We already have it done just it seems no one knows where it is stored or how to use the computer. Why do we have to have deadlines especially when people are working from home and don’t have to commute anymore? We should have gained production not lost it.
Although I think, that this video is kind of useful, I wonder what the term "blast" and the components it is made of ( Oi + De) have to do with the sense for urgency. Where does "making decisions based on the tribe's values/reasons" take place in this contemplation? Did I miss something? Or is this the affirmation, that the community (and even the two dudes behind Ops) uses the OPS animals like additional qualities most of the time, as if they weren't composed by 2 cognitive functions, which already determine the whole meaning? Where and how does "organizing information + making decisions based on tribe reasons" lead to a conclusion regarding the sense of urgency? Why should "gathering information + making decisions based on self reasons" lead to a lack of sense for urgency, although the correct gathering of information could (or should?) lead to the exact opposite? The theory doesn't have explanations for it. Nothing of what you and everyone else on RUclips use the animals for is justified by the theory. In their application by the people in reality the animals are just 4 additional abstract character traits without any logical foundation. Most probably the thing you think when you think about an Ops animal does also change depending on the thing you want to apply it to. As if OPS was a solid stone made of jello... you can take away and add something here and there, just as you need it. The funny thing is that you could have conveyed your advices regarding the sense of urgency completely without the OPS animals or even typology. You don't have to put someone into the abstract system of Ops and "low blast" first....(maybe here's the hidden circular conclusion: (s)he seems to lack a sense of urgency -> this is "low blast"......later: someone has low blast -> probably low sense for urgency. By that you just turned, what you use as a reason, into a definition (or a name), but then you could just use the original term (or name) " lack of urgency " instead of "low blast" again....)
if you look into self-determination theory, specifically how it relates to motivation, you'll find that extrinsic types of motivation make up the majority of what counts as motivation. hence the De component in Blast (being extrinsic by nature) makes up much of the sense of urgency that Blasters feel. this is true even for demon De, in which case internalization plays an especially big part. The other part of it comes from the Oi, which by definition of what it does (executive control, processing/simulating and narrowing down such that you end up with a finished product, planning in a volitional manner) is ready to get started because anything that would need taking care of for initializing execution is taken care of. From a more OPS-centric perspective, blast by definition of Oi+De is the "control (Oi) the tribe (De) and teach (De) the information (Oi)" animal, which necessarily requires getting started on the whole "exerting control and teaching your organized info" part of the equation.

I think operating on (sometimes flexible)
deadlines is very healthy for blast last, but I am always kind of balancing a line of panic attack when I have them.
Blast in general as it is displayed in the external world, is just VERY stressful and VERY uncomfortable, it makes anyone
with blast last retreat from it constantly and want to stay in SC/CS forever and ever.
that being said....I'm off to make a to do list for the weekend.
One thing I've looked at in type animal stack correlation is those that are blast last who are ambitious and successful,
it is MASSIVE (Bill gates, Kim Kardashian, Elon Musk).. which leads me to believe that once blast lasters actually get
going we are like a crazy rocket ship.
Oh well, I'm keeping up with my habits at least.
Great advice I need but dread doing
You can do the thing!
@@InternetLiJo thanks for the positivity.
Can you tell me the animal stack of brain dumpers? Or do a video about them? I really like this explanation on blast. Could you do some videos on the other animals?
Intro music sounds kind of urgent. 😎
High consume here, consuming how to blast better, 😄.
You have spoken painful words. Ouch.
this video hits hard.. But.. How.. How can you just do things..? Blast feels so tedious. I have to tell myself to do one little step after another. And each step feels like death to me.. I just want to be left alone in my misery xD
Sooo what im hearing is stop researching my favorite crypto for 3 months and yolo. Gotcha!
Oh hey, so that's genius. Comment blast off! (at least something is blasting off)
We realize that AI and Quantum computing is here and we should have done these “things” already. We already have it done just it seems no one knows where it is stored or how to use the computer. Why do we have to have deadlines especially when people are working from home and don’t have to commute anymore? We should have gained production not lost it.
I can't tell if I'm CS/P(B) or CS/B(P). But I can say I'm a very lazy, socially introverted ENFP.
So... I'm listening to you and hearing that it's NORMAL for you to have more than one thing to do in the day...? That thought never occurred.
Time and tide wait for no man.
Deadline?...... challenge accepted.
Get the thing!
k cool
You're cool Brockly.
@@InternetLiJo Hey is it true that INTJ's are hardasses towards their subordinates?
Is INTJs feel lazy? Why they feel lazy ?
Yes, because we try to accomplish more by doing less.
intjs seem to have white under the eyes
Blast is overrated. Why try when poeple suck and will just bring you down as best they can. Just take care of yourself.
no more ti9me for Consume ...... omg
