Not sure if you've figured it out by now but if not, to get to the items menu for giving yourself a headlamp, hit F1 and type " CM " and hit enter and then F1 again to close that. Then hit the U key and that brings up the creative menu items which has everything.
Loving this series so far btw! First 5 minutes were thrilling lol
