How do you know the ingredients for building a foundation or a wall? As in how many planks do I need? Logs do I need?

this actually helps so much dude, ive been playing dayz for a while now but have never actually built a base or anything because its always been so confusing to me how the system works but this way of base building is so simple
Great video. This is my 1st time finding you. DayZ is my favorite game but i never build based so this video will be helpful. Heres a Like Comment and Sub for your efforts. Thanks for the video.
Good video, but you didn't explain how much material someone would need to upgrade to T2 or T3. I know you need 8 sheets to upgrade to T2, but how much do I need for T3? I have 10 Cinderblocks and the upgrade doesn't work.
To Upgraded fra metal wall to concrete u nerd 6 or 8 cinder. To Upgraded to tier 3 door u need 8 metal sheets. Cinder blox only used for walls and floor/roof
Thank you for the tutorial, it helped a bunch. I upgraded the door to the bunker door with the wheel (tier 3?) and now I can't see the codelock. I can still hear the beep whenever I open/close it. Do enemies still have the prompt to type in the code even though you don't see it? Thanks again!
Thank you for your video, it looks so hard to build base but your video shows how easy it is. But I don't know how to upgrade wall/doors to T2 and T3. What materials do I need?
Thanks for feedback, absolutly something I should have included in the video. I made the video for fun and kinda winged the whole script, didnt know so many would watch it. What you need. Doors tier 1 to tier 2 = 8 metal sheets Doors tier 2 to tier 3 = 8 metal sheets Walls, roof, floors, door frames, window frames: tier 1 to tier 2 = 8 metal sheets tier 2 to tier 3 = 8 cinder blox
Go to the safezone extract. I recommend you buy wood crate for 15 000 rupels. That's the basic storage you can use until you get 2500 reputation and can buy something with bigger storage :)
You need 8 metal sheets to upgrade tier 1 wood to tier 2 metal. Tier 3 single and double door are special, they can be upgraded 2 times with metal (16 sheets in total) to tier 3 metal doors. Garage door stops on tier 2.
try to hit it, if it has a wall or more walls connected to it, you have to remove those first. or u can upgrade it to metal and then you will be able to have the option to 'remove foundation' for 5 minutes
when u upgrade it you should see what is the softside before u do it, or else its hard to see the difference. if u are unsure, try hitting at it for 10 seconds or so with a melee weapon and rotate if its the wrong way. but u can only rotate it within 5-10 mins after the upgrade is done.
The more walls, doorframes etc you add the more the cost per hour increases. A small base with 2-3 doors will last maybe 2 days on one box of nails :) we had a big base that cost ust 800 nails per day... :D
If you dont add nails, it starts to decay and after about 8 hours aka two restarts worth, your base (not your storage) is gone and after while, your storage gone too. If you add nails at any point before that 8 hours has elapsed, it will stop and slowly start to regen its health or you can just get planks, metal, cinder and repair them manually to get it done faster, not really worth for the t2/t3, but repairing outer layer which generally would be t1, might be if your base is stocked up, otherwise you might get rude edgelord squad coming to raid because its already low hp and thus much cheaper to raid
Does the territory bench consume nails at a fixed rate of time or does it consume nails based on how many panels of walls, doors, roof, floors, etc that you have built? If the latter is true, does a wall panel (for example) that is tier 1 consume more nails than a tier 3 wall panel in a given amount of time? I noticed that when I didn't have my territory bench set up yet that my tier 1 panels were deteriorating at a much faster rate than the higher tier panels. Thats why I was wondering does lower tier panels consume more nails if the nail consumption is based on how much structure you have built.
Both, it has fixed rate of 50 nails per day for just he territory bench(was 35, got upped because small group servers had more bases than zerg servers), and also consumes nails based on how many pieces you have built, so each wall, floor, foundation etc adds i think 0,55 nail per day. So even 1x1 will barely last day with 1 box of nails
@@legendaryjimbob7685 Oh damn i didnt know there was a fixed amount just for the territory bench itself. That makes sense of some things that happened earlier in the wipe im playing now. This is my 2nd base using this mod system. This time Im not building the gate walls that surround my base. All of those walls and the gate only add +4 cost of C4 to enemy but the amount of nails they add to your daily consumption is a lot depending on how large a fence you build around your base. I just built a really small 5 panel fence and gate to protect my greenhouse and a 5 room base. So far it's been easy to kieep up with the nails. Last wipe, that huge fence i built around my base was making me work over time trying to keep up with the nail consumption.
@@legendaryjimbob7685 Question about floor panels - My server just got the roof gable wall pieces added this wipe (triangle shaped wall pieces). If someone jumped from a chopper onto my roof they could be in my treasure room with only four C4's by blowing up metal roof panel so I was thinking about adding a floor panel as a secondary defense above my treasure room. Can enemy players melee through metal or concrete floor panels if they are on top of the floor panel or do you have to C4 through them regardless of if you are on top or bottom of the metal/concrete floor panel? In the old base building system floor panels were weak on the top side and could be dismantled but on here im not sure and I dont have the C4 to experiment.
Kinda hard to explain but i have a normal roof as of now that forms a ridge between 2 adjacent rooms. I noticed that it will let me place another roof panel (a 3rd roof panel) on the wall between the 2 rooms and the 3rd roof panel will basically make an "X" with one of the existing roof panels and although it looks stupid, it will actually cost an enemy player 4 more C4 b/c now he has to blow through 2 roof panels to get in the treasure room
I keep having this problem where my Territory HQ has a white flag but all my walls foundations and so on have red flags and they decay after almost a day to nothing? I have nails in the territory HQ. But I also have a locker, sleeping bag and wood crates in the base but they all have white flags. When I first placed the HQ everything had white flags but I left came back and now they don't :/ .Am I doing something wrong?
dumb question, but you have authorized on the HQ right? Try to use a screwdriver and disemble it and put it out again. The HQ has 35 meter radius. YOu might also built just at the edge of a no build zone. sounds like its worth making a ticket to the admins on Rearmed Discord
@@casual-heroes ya I’m authorised and when I disassemble it and put it back up again it works but only for a short period before going back to the same again. I’ll make a ticket and see how things go. Thanks your video is a great help
not possible unfortunatly. but u can exploit some buildings like the big barns. you can place a door so close its not possible to get inside without raiding
This is Rearmeds base building mod. Blue print you can buy at the trader or you can craft it from Paper. Paper you can get from box of nails or ammo boxes.
No real point tbh, with wall raiding, the main effective base design is just stantard honeycomb spam, no real point in getting all fancy with it, when people will most of the time just raid your walls if they can scout that your loot room is close to one side than the other. Most effective design is basically just loot of your preferred size, and then just add layer by layer more honeycombs and floors. Your fancy design base maybe be better for onlines, but over 90% of the raids are just sad offlines and only thing that works on those is just bunch of honeycombs
hit it on the soft side if it's already been built for some time, it's the side with the sticks, the flat one is the hard one. If it's been built recently you can destroy it with the hatchet selecting the option with mouse wheel
