There's is only 1 song I like with Tarja singing more than Floor, and that's Wishmaster. Otherwise Floor is by far not only my favorite Singer for Nightwish, but my absolute favorite Singer (and band ) of all time! Out of all the music I've ever listened to, her Voice is Stunning beyond Words, and she gives me chills, and makes me cry, where No other singer ever has, the band as a whole makes music that manages to make me more emotional then I've ever gotten over music. I'm not sure what's more laughable about this list. Floor only at #4 or Tarja at #1. The popularity of Nightwish now versus 2005 is night and day thanks to her introduction into the band back in 2013. And her versatility as a vocalist second to none. If you take the various styles and sounds of all the vocalists on this list, she has done it, growls included. Not all them can say the same.
I would replace Angela Gossow with Tatiana Shmailyuk from Jinjer because Angela didn't have a clear voice. Angela was important as the first successful growler, but it gets better.
Of the 10 front women shown here, Floor Jansen is hands down by far the best singer. But it is about front women, not singer of course.... For me the SINGING is paramount. Several of the women shown here cannot SING. They can only shout.... Pity. Best singers sure. But just because you're a great singer in a metal band doesn't make you a great metal singer. Going by that criteria, Brittney Slayes of UTA is the best true metal singer, hands down. She's on another level and sings metal they way it is meant to be sung.

For classic metal singing I would say Seraina Telli is best (relatively unknown badass vocalist, former frontwoman of Burning Witches), her screams are better than Brittney and her compressed/distorted vocals are better than Floor. She even has more range than Floor with the ability to reach very low notes despite being a high pitched singer.

Actually, Tarja is demonstrably a better opera singer than Floor. Have you noticed that when Floor sings early Nightwish song that were written to go with Tarja's opera style, she doesn't even TRY to sing them in an opera voice? I think one question to consider is historically significant vocalists versus ones who are currently popular so I can understand the choices. If I made it on my personal preferences, Floor is no 1 for sure, add Tatiana and Masha from Arkona.

Singing wise floor Jansen but the best metal singer by far goes to Tatiana from Jinjer. No one can best when it comes to clean vocals and the deep growls

I think one question to consider is historically significant vocalists versus ones who are currently popular so I can understand the choices. If I made it on my personal preferences, Floor is no 1 for sure, add Tatiana and Masha from Arkona.
