Your accent makes me think you are making excuses for that B. The reality is the subject was harder for you than the people who got A's.

Jack Middleton Yes you could be right, being fluent in more than one language does have its drawbacks.

Is it possible to recover from failing a semester and get into a decent college? I failed English 10 but currently have a 4.1 GPA and plan to stay this way.

At the end of the day I believe that there are exactly 12 categories of student, it's incredibly hard to change your category and it will effect what kind of grades you get, and in turn which collage you get into, but you can still make the most of it. it goes like this...
    1. Highly intelligent students that do not have to work for it and inherently have the will to get the work done. (The kind of people who get 4.5s)
    2. Highly intelligent students that do have to work for it but do have the will to get it done.
    3. Highly intelligent students that do have to work for it and have a minimal will to get it done but wish for more and strive for it. (Hey this one's me)
    4. Highly intelligent students that do have to work for it and don't have the will to get it done and don't care.
    5. Students of average intelligence who do have the will to work and strive to reach the achievements of the more intelligent students. (Often get higher scores than some smarter students)
    6. Students of average intelligence who have the will to work and enough to satisfy themselves that they did well enough.
    7. Students of average intelligence who are just trying to get by and are pretty much neutral. (Typically the most content)
    8. Students of average intelligence don't have the will to work but wish they were more intelligent and diligent.
    9. Students of below average intelligence who work very hard to meet the achievements of their intellectual superiors. (Unfortunately, often the most stressed)
    10. Students of below average intelligence who are content to achieve whatever they can under reasonable effort.
    11. Students of below average intelligence who could care less, will not work, and are only there cause the law requires it. (The absolute worst people in high school)
    12. Dropouts
It's harsh but often very truthful .

I’m a highschool senior and am planning to take computer science as my major in college. What should I do so that I can start preparing for college in advance? Are there any courses online to help me get ready for computer science in college?

Do personal projects. There are a lot of tutorials that can help you learn the basics. Code something in python, java, c++ since those are the ones I have used most in projects (mostly python).
