Did I just see someone go 3 out of 5 at a mile with a factory barreled 308???? Holy crap...
Cheers
Lol bad ass!
Great info and footage as always!🍻
Cheers
Great shooting and awesome looking rifle. A BIG PLUS to the drone footage as well! Thanks
Cheers Man, Thanks you.
Thanks for another great video you guy's,glad the back is better Mark.
Thanks Nick, Cheers
Very nice system Mark! I’m a late convert from McMillan stocks to these chassis systems but I like there adjustability that enables keeping all the reaction forces inline plus the ease of adding components, like your bipod system. They are light, like you said, but you’ve shown how easy it is to add weight. Thanks for bringing this info to all of us. All the Best!
Hi Mike, yes i like the way they think too, glad you liked the video, Cheers
Wow! I love your work. Great team...
Cheers
I just bought one along with the MDT bag-rider and rear steel weight and they also make chassis weights for the ACC model but there's room to bolt a strip of steel under the barrel on the inside. The stock was just as you say, a bolt-on and shoot design with no fitment hassles. Completely adjustable to personalise your shooting position that accommodates different cheek and body shapes. Subscribed!
Thanks Man, Cheers
Another great video and more great shooting. You should be especially proud that you even have someone that obviously hates firearms but has to check out your videos in spite of being anti firearms. Keep up the great work and thanks again 👍
Thanks John, yes these always at least 1, but you get that, Cheers
Thanks for the great review as always guys! I'm very happy to see that it was easy for you to drop the barreled action into the chassis, adjust it to your preference and shoot like you did on the video! Great shooting guys and I'd like to maybe see something like the 6.5-284, 6.5x55, 280 AI or something else a little different in the LA chassis. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Josh, yes I have some think'n to do, Cheers
that drone shot looks like you're riding the bullet to the target ! well done Mark & Sam !!!
Thanks Terri, bit tricky dealing with the wind, but getting better at it, Cheers
Great informative video as always.
Cheers
Great shooting mates! Someone asked earlier but, I too would love to see a video of your process of installing the long action into the MDT chassis. Cheers Mark and Sam! Love your videos! 👍
Hi Kevin, will do, but really was unbolt from it's stock, bolt into the MDT stock, and then shoot, (may end up using resin for the recoil lug, will have yo see, but will show when I bolt the long action together, Cheers
I love this channel
Cheers
Hi Mark, another well made video and information. When you do the set up with the other long action MDT frame that you have could you show us the process of how the action and barrel is fitted please. Love the videos that you guys make and thanks for all the work and efforts that go in to giving us the information. Cheers, Tony.
Thanks Anthony, when we get a rifle for that project, I keep that in mind, Cheers and thanks for the suggestion.
Drone shot was so damn cool.
Cheers
should have an affiliate link in this video best review of this chasis ive seen thank you
Cheers
I think that that bag rider idea is as good as the bipod product, and I am sure the MDT community will pick that up if you maker it available in your product line.
Thanks Christian, yes we have a design under way, will show everybody soon, cheers
Great video guys I would like to try a MDT Chassis they look very good.
Thanks Loren, glad you enjoyed, and yes they are nice bits of kit, Cheers
good video. nice to see a man without a beard on u tube.
lol, Cheers
Great shooting mark, love the look of the MTD chassis. Perhaps a .264 win mag for the long action?
thanks Man, yes that's another one of the choices, a good one too, Cheers
Thanks for the review! If possible when you have some extra time, could you take a picture or video of the bedding block and maybe show where it contacts the action?
Hi Todd, I will keep that in mind for the next video on the MDT chassis, Cheers and all the best.
That's a nice looking outfit, l'd like it in 338 Lapua Magnum.
Hi Troy, Cheers
Please, please put a 7-300 WM on that long action. I'm very curious to see how you like that round especially on the MOST LAS CO Gen2 Chassis.
Thanks but we have a 6.5-06 in the chassis, Cheers
Thanks mark and sam, did you use bullet cam for that footage?? 30-06 and 6.5x55 would be very interesting. Perhaps throw in a 270 win for comparison. Cheers 🖒
Thanks Man, lol, or at least I hope you know the bullet cam is an April fools bit, and yes we have some decisions to make, Cheers
6.5X55 is fantastic and loads very, very well. The neck is great for long bergers.
I am also interested in seeing some work done with a .270 WSM
It seems there is very little data on long range with the .270's although the numbers are good with the WSM able to push the Matrix 165gr .650 B.C. around 3000fps (maybe faster) it seems like a good, between, the long actions and the magnums.
Love your work, keep it coming.
Cheers
7-300 is what I want to see done right. A 195gr EOL 7mm Berger in a 300WM case.
It just might be the best long range combination before stepping up to large calibers.
Yes, another in the running and a great ELR round for sure, Cheers
Hey guys, wanted to see if you still had positive feedback on this chassis.? I’ve reached out to MDT, I’m going to build my son and I a matching pair of rifles and this chassis is high on my list.! I was able to get my hands on one to test when I built a customers rifle, I liked it but it was the standard LSS version. Anyways, any feedback would be appreciated
Yes we like them, the ESS would be my favorite at the moment, although the LSS gen 2 we have used turned out great with our guard rail / bipod mount system that stiffened up the for-end, but overall no complaints at all, Cheers
I noticed the difference in the cheek rest on that stock. I remember you commenting on that on the ess, where it only had one support rod and the adjusting screw and it moved a little. Are they going to use this design on future stocks?
Yes there are a few improvements on that new butt stock, otherwise I have not spoken to the guys to see what they are doing, but I will report back to them with all I like, for sure, Cheers
Put that Long action on a 6.5x55 swede...
From South Africa
May do, it's in the running, Cheers
P.s I drove past on Thursday farmer getting ready to dry seed?
Thanks Man, yes some will, some will wait and some will do a bit of both, Cheers
1-12 twist and youre using what bullet?
Berger 175gr HPBT LR. FYI, all in the description, cheers
If I was to purchase this chassis system here. The frame itself comes with the buttstock or frame alone?
Sorry we are not sales, check out your local agent or check MDT direct, Cheers
Any idea what was with the feeding issue at 2:27?
No feeding issues, just some brass sticking in the bolt, Cheers
Cheers
What is the mag length on the long action
Mag length 3.715", max round length that will fit 3.615".
MarkandSam AfterWork thanks, I’d like to see them offer the LSS with the 3.850”.
Lilac Tortoise because the long action savages use the 3.850” mags. I have the ESS chassis on my 338LM, if the LSS was available with the 3.850”’option I would get that chassis for my 300wm.
