I’ve been working on something big... And if I’m right, it means that most narcissists are walking around out there undiagnosed, hiding in plain sight, with little chance of being caught.

They refuse to think they have a problem so they wouldn't go get diagnosed.

100% agree that the number of narcissists out there are much higher. I was married to a covert narcissist and no one believed me. He was very good at hiding his bad side from everyone. When he got enough supply he was grandiose to the point that he was delusional. He's still delusional. Had to start my life over again.

Not really. If you suspect someone is, just apply some boundaries and tell them no and watch them unravel

Well done ! This vlog should wake up the most subjugated flying monkey. My two cents is not only that sick feeling of doom in their presence but realizing that mechanical, jerky, alien from planet Narcopath feeling you get while asking yourself 'why am I still coming here '. A reference to ex gf's 'Condo Mask Off '. That sick feeling walking in. Fatigue. Being set up... That grand finale need not be loud, but dead silent. One announcement that moving on is your decision. Quick. No reasons as this is still engaging in dysfunctional communication. Just crickets. Anything not respecting that is harassment and illegal. Document if necessary. They get no supply and must get it eleswhere. In time, when your health improves, you can never unsee the fact that your literal demise would have been ultra supply. Rinse off the target. Reattach another one. Repeat.

Sometimes they can fool you for a long, long time if you aren't educated about narcissism. I had only been aware of the grandiose subtype and missed spotting a covert narcissist. Even therapists can fail to recognize a narcissist who has been seeing them for depression or anxiety for years. The problem is that the narc tells the story in a way that sounds like someone else is a difficult person. It's when the therapist hears about how multiple people in the patient's life are "the problem" that they start to suspect it. Other hints are if the person wants people to apologize for ridiculous offenses. For example, a heavy book falls on the narc's foot when they remove one of the books stacked beneath it. The narc then wants the person who laid the top book on the stack to apologize and promise to put their books somewhere else. Even if the narcissist in this scenario is highly intelligent, they think it's logical to blame someone else for the injury. Another example is that a narc may want you to apologize for getting a promotion they wanted or for wearing a nicer dress than theirs to a party.

*The very 1st rule 1st day 1st lesson in joining the **_"Mafia"_** is to never say that word...ever. If they absolutely must call it something they call it **_"Cosa Nostra"_** which means **_"This Thing of Ours."_** In the vintage **_"All In The Family"_** episode Archie found this out the hard way with a visit from **_"Silvestri."_** And what does this tell us all too well? George Carlins **_"Soft Language"_** comedy routine can provide additional clues.*

What definitely enables selfish people is the issue that most other people are very superficial and distracted - not paying attention and even not remembering things they have actually seen. Since the people are already very confused, it is easy to confuse them further.
I am quite sad about that distractedness, since it adversely affects many other things besides holding back selfish people.
