Theo: Hey man, how's it going. Stocke: Those people i met only 15 minutes ago are dead.........I am sad now. Lippti: But you can fix it. Stocke: How? 'Theo opens his mouth to speak.' Stocke: I swear if you say the words "Nanomachines, Son!" I will DESTROY you. Theo:........I mean, No you can't I can mess your shit up son, but I'll humor you. Lippti: The Book you have, That's how. Stocke:.....Wait, what? Theo: The Book, the White Chronicle. It's like [The World], only instead of stopping time it sends you back and forth. Stocke: It's a Stand that sends me back in time? Lippti:. 'Sighs' Sure, why not, close enough. And later. Stocke: This is the only way to not die......but the path is blocked. 'Theo and Lippti appear.' Theo: Sup Fam? Lippti: This is the right way. Stocke: I can't get passed this! Lippti: 'Sighs' Fine 'Shiny Lights' Stocke: What just happened........why does my armor feel tighter? Theo: We made you more Swole. Lippti: You see what I put up with every day? We gave you Super Strength, go push the blocks, we're leaving. Stocke:.....That was way too convenient......Oh Well 'Pushes Blocks'.
"Alas, it seems you have reached a dead end. I suppose history is destined to give you trouble." Future Me: Teo, you have *no* idea, buddy...! Further Future Me: Teo, you f-ing troll...! :D
That's one of the things I love the most about this game, the writing and now the voice-acting along with it. It really has a more "mature" reasoning and mostly-decent logic to what would normally be glossed over in a regular RPG. Love how Lippti's voice is fleeting and sad to a point, but then lifts back up to bell-like clarity when she reveals a positive-side she had been hiding, and Teo has his own way of doing the same. Although the writing is still pretty ridiculous when it comes to things like boxes and grass blocking the paths, but still... XD
yeah, that is a change, in the ds version it could take several swings to stun but it guaranteed a first strike, here the stun is guaranteed but the first strike isn't.
At first I thought this was going into a situation where you can't have game overs logically, since you could just do it 1,000 times. But since your wounds carry over... you can't exactly do much as a corpse. Also a mark of a good game, imo, field puzzles. More then just walking.
15:59 don't start asking questions in a time travel narrative, HCB, it can only end badly. Just suspend your disbelief... Edit: 16:30 never mind. I guess the writers thought about this one carefully XD
10:30 "No, no, that's another reality, gamers." 20:50 "I do a lot of push ups and sit ups and I drink plenty of juice." Funny, in the 3DS version Stocke doesn't mention his boss that just handed him over the book, huh.
11:05 Well obviously that means that the white chronicle was soldered, or contains surface mount components. (electrical engineering joke) They said Flux... ...the stuff that you solder with to prevent oxidation, right? ...
Henri did you checked if lower difficulties nets you more money? Since mostly with Atlus games lower difficulties has an increase money gain :) Palomides battle is called a scripted battle, stats what not does nothing :P Laugh of Palomides reminds me a bit of the laugh of Vulcanus from Disgaea 1.
Nice Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology episode HCBailly. Interesting notion. Time travel and altering history. Stocke even got a superhuman strength boost from Lippti and Teo. I suppose Stocke is now going to call a redo every time things don't turn out his way. It seems that in this JRPG nothing is set in stone not even the events in history. Talk about altering your fate.
It looks like Marco and Raynie really missed their marc in the rayne after all. And Stocke wasn't exactly the stock spy with Polomides going around causing game breaking damage. I'm sorry I'll stop. Anyway the voice acting and sprites are really adding to this game. You could really tell that Stocke felt horrible about losing Marco and Raynie and had a hard time believing Lippti and Teo. It also helps that this game has great writing that doesn't have cringeworthy humor or tropes.
So HC were like 4 minutes short for each of first two episodes for a perfect "and they diiiied" cliffhanger. Aww. Wow, Dias is more beatiful than ever! His unexpectedly low voice is probably the meaning to conpensate for that. No more "wait, she's a GUY?" I liked the old version of Historia better. Seems like they just merged design with another specific place, and that is odd.
FOR THE FIRST TIME FOR THE LAST TIME.
A wild Tim appears! :O
I just finished watching that movie an hour ago and now I come back and see this, oh god my head all the screws are falling out, haha!
Theo: Hey man, how's it going.
Stocke: Those people i met only 15 minutes ago are dead.........I am sad now.
Lippti: But you can fix it.
Stocke: How?
'Theo opens his mouth to speak.'
Stocke: I swear if you say the words "Nanomachines, Son!" I will DESTROY you.
'Theo and Lippti appear.'
Theo: Sup Fam?
Lippti: This is the right way.
Stocke: I can't get passed this!
Lippti: 'Sighs' Fine
'Shiny Lights'
Stocke: What just happened........why does my armor feel tighter?
Theo: We made you more Swole.
Lippti: You see what I put up with every day? We gave you Super Strength, go push the blocks, we're leaving.
Stocke:.....That was way too convenient......Oh Well 'Pushes Blocks'.
Ah, the stun strike.
"SLEEP DAMN YOU!"
If I hear Marco, I say Polo. That's just the way I am. I like how they swing their legs like little kids in the idle animation. It's a cute detail.
@5:04 - "Well, you're not gonna die for nothing... you're gonna die for BOSS TIME!"
Those 2 dislikes were from Palomides and Dias.
I forgot how *GOOD* that 'GET DOWN!' sounded. Holy cow, that's some good acting.
Ok now that Stocke has power over time I can now say the Shulk parallels are getting more and more accurate
I kinda miss watching Stocke run up the M.C. Esher stairs.
Ah, I knew there was a term for that art style, but couldn't remember it.
Anyone else binging this series during the Corona outbreak?
"Alas, it seems you have reached a dead end. I suppose history is destined to give you trouble."
Future Me: Teo, you have *no* idea, buddy...!
Further Future Me: Teo, you f-ing troll...! :D

Stocke: Is this it...? Raynie...! Marco...!
Me: 'Internal struggle that I soon lose' .... Polo....!
I love Lippti/Teo/Historia's music. It's so soothing.
yeah, that is a change, in the ds version it could take several swings to stun but it guaranteed a first strike, here the stun is guaranteed but the first strike isn't.
Oh no, it just occurred to me that the scene later in the game is going to really hit me hard. You know the one.
I'm anticipating the return of "launch them in to the air!" and "Sleep damn you!"
At first I thought this was going into a situation where you can't have game overs logically, since you could just do it 1,000 times. But since your wounds carry over... you can't exactly do much as a corpse.

15:24 Time to do the time warp again!
15:59 don't start asking questions in a time travel narrative, HCB, it can only end badly. Just suspend your disbelief...

Funny, in the 3DS version Stocke doesn't mention his boss that just handed him over the book, huh.
It's almost like the world itself is going back in time, and not Stocke.
I didn't even know you could exceed 9999...
Woah.
11:05 Well obviously that means that the white chronicle was soldered, or contains surface mount components. (electrical engineering joke)
They said Flux... ...the stuff that you solder with to prevent oxidation, right? ...
If I could turn back time! If I could find a way!
6:06 OVERKILL much?
Obviously not overkill enough since he survived :P
Henri have you thought about giving Sands of Destruction a try yet? I still say that it would fit more or less in this story (With Desertification) :)
aaww no more "Sleep Damn you".
But hopefully some more brand of Goddamn Tea!
Is that Melissa Fahn voicing Lippti because I can't unhear Neptune.
RioluMan yup that's her
I can't also unhear Rika from Digimon Tamers from listening to her voice.
I SAW IT!!!11! The episode was labled as #3 xD
So, did they remove that neverending stairs of doom in this version?
But this is Episode #3....
No, its episode #03, not #3, at least in the context that Eric is talking about...
But...but...I could swear it should be 2 D:
11 thousand damage...dear god
This is pretty above average voice acting for a 3DS game.
Lippti and Teo? Are their names a pun on Lipton tea or something?
Police Of Cake Well having control over time is thirsty work.

So HC were like 4 minutes short for each of first two episodes for a perfect "and they diiiied" cliffhanger. Aww.

I kinda did the same "How is that a he and why is he pretty?!"
Hello HCBailly!
