    Lately I've been tying rubber skirts on the Cumberland Pro Lures ProCaster head and I like that one a lot, it's compact and the 2/0 hook on it is amazing, sharp enough to set with 10 lb line but it's so strong you can easily flip it on braid. Have to separate and play with the double cable weedguard to get it set up right but it works good. Only available in 1/4 and 3/8 but I haven't put it on a gram scale lol. The other one that deserves mention for flipping is the Outkast Stealth Feider, it's tungsten, comes in up to 5/8 oz but it's still the size of a house key. I pull the weedguard out, hand-tie a rubber skirt, and glue in a new weedguard. Hook isn't quite as sharp but it's strong. Love your videos man, let's keep talking jigs!

    Man, this is a great video for serious tackle junkies. I appreciate you showing the details of each jig from head, collar/keeper, eye angle, hook shank/diameter, and skirt. I've been waiting for a big bait company to make more tungsten jigs. For a flipping/skipping jig I use Queens Tungsten Flipping. The keeper is a tad harsh on plastics and i wish the shank was 1/8 of an inch longer. Seems nothings ever perfect for bass heads. Thanks for the video and definitely keep breaking down tackle for us all.

    Now - THIS IS THE REAL JUICE!!!!!!! Nobody- repeat - NONE of these other “pros” - will do what you just did sir. What do true professional fishermen spend “THEIR” money on????? They are always sharing what they are “paid” - to share. This puts Hallman in a class by himself. Thanks for helping me drastically reduce the channels I subscribe to. Watching a Hallman Productions video 4 or 5 times will give you higher quality data - than watching many, many others - thank you sir!!!!! NOW - when is your jig hitting the shelves?????

    I bought a few different jigs off of Amazon made by reaction tackle that are tungsten heads and have hand tied skirts and are pretty small... the hooks are a little small but so far I'm liking them you get 2 jigs in the pack for about $11. I haven't caught any really big fish but I have caught several good fish in that 3 to 5 lb range on Toledo Bend, Sam Rayburn, and the Sabine River.

    Great video Bradley. I love the keitech jig for smallies here in the PNW. Was my go to bait this winter / early spring when the fishing is tough. Really outperformed the usual dropshot / blade bait / finesse swimbaits for me. I like fishing it with a 7’2” megabass Diablo spec r with 12 pound straight flouro. The rod is fairly moderate and closer to a medium than a medium heavy. With that small hook you need a lot of forgiveness in the rod.

    That last Riot jig (Flipping style one) that you showed looks like it has the same head style as the Terminator jig that I use a lot and have a tremendous success at catching both smallmouth and largemouth. In fact, I have caught more bass with that Terminator jig than any other jigs! Based on the fact that it is a smaller head than the other jigs and the fact that I like the head style I think I would prefer the Riot jig more than the others. A smaller jig with the same weight as the bigger jigs will always be better in my opinion simply because it penetrates through the grass better, has a faster fall rate, and cast farther and more accurately.
    I'm going to buy me a few of that Riot jigs to give them a try since I have never used them before. Thanks for this awesome upload! I would fish the Riot jig the same way I would a Terminator jig -- that is lift it up and let it fall to the bottom and as soon as it hits bottom give it a quick lift again and let it fall to the bottom again. On snaggy bottoms I don't even let it hit bottom at all before I lift it up again. I caught a lot of bass fishing the Terminator jig this way!

The hook I've come to like the most is a 4/0 Gammy 604 in a 7/16 round ball head with a wire keeper. I model my head after venture tackles jig head, they set the line tie way forward at a 90 degree and it is money!!!!!

    Brad that Riot jig will work well on the Chesapeake. Play with weight down to 1/4oz. Keep the profile compact as that is important for those tidal LM bass. Surprisingly white or chartreuse/white is good on the bay. You can mute it with GP trailer if necessary. Newbies on the flats have a tough time usually in the grass but that’s where it will be won. It’s huge water that fishes small. With 200+ boats that can be frustrating. Don’t forget that you can run up the Susquehanna at least a little ways for SM. Usually a smaller bite but for folks not familiar with tidal grass flats, can be a limit saver.

    • @BradleyHallmanFishing
      @BradleyHallmanFishing  2 года назад

      Thanks 🙏 that flat is massive but looking forward to fishing and hopefully flipping the big weights!

    • @Steve-yd1ze
      @Steve-yd1ze 2 года назад

      @@BradleyHallmanFishing punching usually isn’t the winning pattern. Swim jigs dominate, followed by chatterbait/spinnerbait, and then finesse in the grass. Usually depends upon the tide for that day. These fish are highly pressured. Bite window is short as determined by the tide. Unlike the James the flats are an estuary. Weather disrupts current flow often. The best tide is usually last 2 hours of outgoing but not if for example you get a storm off shore that keeps the tide in all day. In that situation you may need to cover water to put it on their head. Good luck man. It’s a tough bite. I’ll be cheering for you

    Good video Monsenior Hallman. I've often wondered if people make these discussion videos to cast a net per say to see what comes back. It makes sense to do it. Great video brother. Keep it up. #LBJ FOR LIFE

    Certain colors of the beast coast lil magnum flipping jig will have round rubber in it. I just switched over to beast coast flipping jigs the last couple months to try them out. Really like them so far. Think stealt craw is a brown one they have and it half round rubber skirt. Really enjoyed this video. Please do more. I like to see ur take on different baits.

    Check out queens tackle peanut jig. Great little tungsten football jig that i catch a lot of smallies on. Only down fall is 3/8th is heaviest. Wish theyd make a 1/2 ounce.

    I know it's an added inconvenience, but if you have a jig you really like that has the rubber collar on the skirt, you can buy a pack of the really small zip ties and cinch em down. I do that with war eagle's finesse jigs, because I really like em.

    here in spain the keitech jigs are the go to (the pitching and the football) i personally kinda like the pitching more i had 0 issues with the hook, but i had problems with the football jig because of the light weed guard, i tend to hung up with hook in the rocks

    When do you pick up the vertical line tie jig vs the horizontal line tie on a jig. Or is it personal preference? The queen tackle flipping jig is vertical and the feider flipping jig is a horizontal.

      Vertical is swim jig or around lots of grass. Horizontal is all about the rock!

    I may have missed it, but you mentioned possibly going to a baitcaster during your last tournament. Would you still have used the Kietech or a different jig brand ? Or would you have had 2 different jigs for SM and LM? Thanks

      Baitcaster with the riot jig is where I am today. Now that can change as I learn about more jigs on the market but I will continue to share with y’all!

      @@BradleyHallmanFishing yes both tungeston, solid hook in both. Cage is horizontal line tie, little stiffer weed guard. Stealth is vertical line tie, softer weed guard. Awesome jigs

      All companies have a hard time getting tungsten to set on a hook. Has to do with high temps. It’s an issue for everyone

      What tungsten jig are u using from 6th sense? If it’s the hybrid jig then I’m pretty sure it’s a lead jig not tungsten.
