I have been away for the last few weeks due to a loss in our family. My sweet nephew passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago, and I have been with my sister, supporting her as best I could. I am deeply grateful to all of you for your patience as I learn to navigate this new world without my nephew and return to making videos.
I thought a garden tour would be a good way to get back into making videos for you, and I hope you enjoy it!

I’m glad your back. Was worried about you and the fires. I lost my daughter at 1 years old. She would of graduated high school this year. No words can give you a miracle cure. Listen to your heart, it will tell you when to cry, when to laugh, and most importantly, when to be grateful. Prayers to you and your family

I'm so sorry for the loss in your family. I know this pain well. We lost our oldest daughter when she was 11 years old to a tragic accident. It's been 31 years ago, but I still think of her every day. A wise woman told me that you never get over it. You just learn to live with it.
I have faith that I will see her again, and I believe you will see your nephew again. Have faith. My prayers are with you.❤

When I was 19 my 15 year old brother was killed in a car crash that also killed 2 other boys. I had never seen such grief. I honestly thought both of my parents would die. At 71 years old it is still excruciating to think about. Your sister will continue to need you.

Prayers of comfort to you, your sister and husband and all of the family. We are starting our 4th year after the tragic and unexpected loss of our 14 yr old son. It honestly is a day to day ‘journey’. You are never healed you just learn how to navigate life with a huge hole inside of you!
I'm so sorry for your loss. My family is heartbroken also due to a horrible loss . My niece lost her 15 month old daughter Harper Violet 3 years ago. She was my sister's first grandchild. There are two beautiful poems you can share with your sister Gods Loan and Just for Today - For Bereaved Parents. One line says Just for Today when my heart feels like breaking, I will stop and remember that grief is the price we pay for loving and the only reason I hurt is because I had the privilege of loving so much.

I lost my brother when he was 12 and I was 7. It's never easy and there's no right way to grieve. Really sorry for your loss.
If you have a wood chipper with your free resources - put down 5(+/-) inches of wood chips and your weeds will disappear

Aww, Chelsea, I’m so sorry for the loss of your precious nephew. I know I can never assume to know what that feels like and all you and your family are trying to navigate. I am familiar with grief and I know it is different for everyone. I heard someone say once that each person’s grief is like their thumbprint, totally unique to each person. A long time ago a friend died in a car accident and I was driven to the site of the wreck and found a piece of the car. I took it home and I don’t know why it was meaningful to me, but it was. When my best friend died suddenly, I was responsible for pretty much everything, as her family lived out of state. I went to her home and found her nurse’s watch on the counter and put it on my wrist and wore it for a few days. Loss is a strange thing and we need to be kind to ourselves while we are processing it. My heart goes out to you and your family. Please take all the time you need. I will pray for you.
I might have told you this already, but I bought some 60% shade cloth and put it on my broccoli and lettuce and it has worked beautifully to keep them from bolting in the heat.
About the apple tree, I think apple trees will fruit prolifically every other year if they are not thinned enough on the abundant year. It is best to thin each cluster of five fruits down to the one king fruit, the one that is biggest. Also, leave the last 6” on the tip of the branch clear of fruit and thin the fruit to about every 6”. Hopefully this helps. I’m not an expert, but I have learned quite a bit from a horticulturist and nurseryman friend.
I know exactly what you mean. I have been with several people as they passed on and each one left a different kind of mark on me. I think what's different about my nephew is that he was so young and watching my sister's grief almost did me in. She and I are really close and I could almost feel her pain just holding her. My prayers for your family, especially your sister and her husband. Our son Michael passed away suddenly at the age of 22 in 2018. That has forever changed us and our lives.

I too know and understand the brokenness of losing a child. At 19 my daughter Amanda was killed in a car wreck. Praying for each of you, but especially for his momma, because I know her heart is shattered into a million pieces, and now a piece is missing.

It is a hard pain to deal with. My grandson was only 2 when he passed. The first time of meeting him was at his funeral 😢.

There is a support group for parents who have lost children call The Compassionate Friends. It saved us when we lost our infant daughter. Grieving is hard work, bless you for supporting your sister, and remember to be gentle with yourself as well. Grandparents and other family members are also welcomed to the group. You're all in my prayers.

I know loss. Not a young loss but, I’ve lost both of my parents, my father’s siblings and all my grandparents most at a young age. What I can tell anyone about loss is that the pain never leaves, it just gets easier to wake up in the morning.
I know from personal experience there is no grief like the loss of a child. The pain will never leave you but at some point you will be able to enjoy the happy memories. Until then may your heart begin to heal❤

I'm so sorry for the loss of your nephew. My heart truly goes out to you,your sister, family and friends. I unexpectedly loss the death of my son at age 22 yr old. He was my only child. I've never experienced pain like I did when he passed. You will never be able to understand why and wonder how you can go on but in time you learn to adapt to different life. The pain never goes away but you learn new ways of trying to just get through each and every day. In May it has been 9 years since I lost my son and it seems like it was yesterday. It does help to talk about them. It helps the healing process. Big hugs to you and your sister and family. Keeping you all in my prayers. Oakley is so sweet. My parents raised Great Pyrenees and they are just such sweet,loving and great farm dogs. God bless you all. 🙏 ❤

I am so sorry for you're loss and it doesn't fully go away. My daughter who was 10 just passed away last July so almost a year ago and I still cry often, but let it come because you feel better after and it's very healing. I will see her again and it really helps me to know that. I hope the best for you and I will be praying for you all! Gardening really does help to heal you too and having animals. I'm so sorry for your family's tragic loss.
My sister's only child died in a car accident when he was 17. That was in 1995, and we have largely healed as a family, but we think about Wesley and talk about him often. It is helpful to know everyone still thinks about the one who left this earth too soon, and it's okay and comforting to talk about what you are feeling.
May God's peace return to you all, and know there's no time limit on grief. It's a process. Please lean on and into one another. Family support is so very important.

Hello Chelsea, living in Az, we have citrus trees. My lemon and grapefruit trees are always heavy with fruit each year but my orange tree only blooms and bears fruit every other year. I had no idea when it was planted that it was typical for this specific type of orange tree.
May I send my heart felt sympathy to your sister, you and your family. My heart breaks for you. My brother lost his 2 sons tragically at ages 2 and 4. There are no words to express the deep sorrow you feel for the lost of a child. You all are in my prayers

So sorry about your lost .. we never get over the list of a loved one the grieving process is forever on going it’s just that some days are a little more bearable than others.. my heart goes out to you and your family.. quick tip when you pull up /out your weeds try not to shake the dirt/soil into the bed because you are sprinkling weed seeds all over in your bed again..
