That drone is almost perfect for my solo video production, but the 2.7k resolution is a deal breaker for me. I film everything in 6k open-gate, and anything less than 4k just doesn't cut it. Maybe the X2 will be an improvement. Excellent video, brother. Thanks!
Cheers Gary, I bought one a few weeks back for my MD vids. Took it out for the first time last weekend & enjoyed the ease of use. Like you, the lack of tracking on birds eye and orbit was a shame, but I made it work. I quite liked the audio use for my intro which came out ok, but my biggest positive was the ease of use & speed of set up & fly…..especially with all the other gear we have to carry. Price wise, I paid less than £300 getting it direct from China (came with 2 extra batteries) & will take a chance with after sales etc. all the best, Marcus
Very interesting video Gaz. From someone who's never used drones or indeed has a RUclips channel I guess this little piece of technology would be a great introduction to anyone wanting to give it go. 😀
Nice one Gaz... Quick Q please mate, (as I've thought about getting one of these): I guess the 'Dream' for me, would be to do a chat/'piece to camera' in the Dolly Track mode... If the drone/camera was close enough to see my 'Lip Sync' d'you think sound from the drone's motors would be ok? ...or too noisy? (Love to know anyways mate and, fyi I'd def. recommend that shot for your video content - it could be wonderful... 👊 Cheers fer now, Bobby 🐭
Hi Bob, The Hover Air app has a voice recording options through your phone, this will eliminate the drone noise. Also you can use the voice isolation feature in DaVinci Resolve.
Gary, great review of the drone’s features. Seems a bit expensive and a couple of features are indeed lacking. But for some simple shots to spice up a video it would handle the job… John
Excellent, thanks Gary, you sold one on me for sure, cant wait to start using it in my videos. Superb presentation as always.
Thanks Dawn, looking forward to seeing some X1 footage in your videos.

Thanks bro, yes the footage is not great.

Great feedback, thanks Marcus 👍🤝
I would think here in the states, it would need a FAA registration or a Part 107 license for commercial use
Possibly the same here in the UK.
Always like watching your videos 👍
Thanks Rob 🤝
Thanks for the review Gary, looks a very handy bit of kit but I almost choked on my beer when you named the price! 😁
Cheers Neil, I need to stop spending 😁
@@The-skillschool Maybe, better hope your missus doesn't watch your channel! 😁
She's just bought a cocker for £900, lind of puts my £400 into perspective so she can't complain 😀
@@The-skillschool 😃 Fair play! We all like having new toys but unfortunately they cost a lot more now than when we were little! 😁

Thanks Paul, you have it exactly right.
great review.. Gary, thanks
Thanks Neil 🤝
Great review, I’ve been looking for something simple like this but I’m on the fence about the X-1
Understood, it's a lot of money for what it is.
But it is very cool.
Great job reviewing sir. Most appreciated. Keep these reviews coming!
Thanks Michael

@@The-skillschool Ah yes, makes sense mate - tnxalot 🙏 B :).
How much?!! Wowsers. I was thinking you were going to say £50-£70 🙈
Thanks Julie yes it's a bit spicy 🔥
Great review on the machine but too expensive for some people.
Tell me about it, thanks for your thoughts.
@@The-skillschool Your welcome.

Totally agree John
Likes bro 👊👍
Thanks for the visit
On sale at £345 at the moment.
You really need the combo kit with the extra battery.
Seems good but in my humble opinion is overpriced for the tiny piece of tech you get and sounds like a cloud of mosquitos
Thanks for your thoughts.
Thanks for vid.
Our pleasure!
