    Yeah, the kids should watch Bird and Magic on RUclips. They would learn what true basketball genius is/was.

      And rivalry, you wouldn't catch Bird going to the Lakers, or Magic to the Celtics, to win easier championships.

    MJ is the GOAT, because of his athletic prowess on top of his talent. Give the athleticism to Bird and you'd have seen something undefinable. But if you talk basketball pedigree, no one compares to Larry Bird:
    NCAA Player of the Year
    NBA Rookie of the Year
    3 time NBA MVP
    (Forget every other accomplishment...)
    NBA Coach of the year
    NBA Executive of the year
    Nobody has done what he has in every facet of basketball!

      George Stewart Agreed. Larry with that athletic ability?

      Larry did an awful lot for a white guy that couldn't run, jump or do anything athletic

      George Stewart can you imagine if Magic would have had Michael's athletic ability???? OMG. I think LeBron in some ways is a more athletic Magic Johnson. But Lebron still is no Magic Johnson.

      u need to get a c'mon man like they do before mnf. ever larry would say michael jordan was the greatest ever. a fucking blind man would say it.

      Joe Szulborski I was always a Jordan fan since I was small and didn't even watch Jordan play. When I grew older and could watch videos on the internet I realised hell yeah I'm a Jordan fan he's just as sick as they said truly the best... then I looked up bird because he was considered one of the best. Now I tell u being a Jordan fan before I ever watched an nba game.... Larry bird in his prime is truly greatest basketball player that ever lived.
      Basketball is an art, a battle. Sometimes u may have more strength and/or technique but lose because of the wisdom and knowledge Or heart of the opponent. Larry legend had the wisdom, heart, tenacity, intelligence, hustle, demeanor coupled with the most beautiful deadeye jump shot, court vision and composure.
      Michael wowed me with his superior athleticism and agility mixed with his will to win. But when I saw birds finesse I realised that bird... truly was the word.

    SF: Larry
    PF: The Mailman
    C: The Captain Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
    I'll put those 5 at their peak against any of the best since then at their peak in either 80's/90's rules or today's rules. Good luck beating them.

    Much respect! Larry 2nd only to mj! But if both played in prime Larry would take a few!

    • @usnate1
      @usnate1 7 лет назад +6

      FunnySnaps 16' He already did that though...he was a triple double machine against chicago. mj is the greatest 2 guard ever..he isn't the greatest Center or small forward ever. there is no single greatest basketball player ever because there are 5 positions.

    • @usaisgood8433
      @usaisgood8433 7 лет назад

      No compliance that's not true Michael is clearly the greatest far ahead of anybody else! Positions r irrelevant!.. You have 2 eyes don't you? You can read stats can't you?

    • @usnate1
      @usnate1 7 лет назад +3

      That makes no sense...''two eyes'' comment isn't a fact or a good descriptive for your argument...
      I can read stats, and until I've seen MJ dominate in every ...single..statiscal category he won't be the greatest for ALL positions. That goes for every single player ever. NOONE has done that. That's why its a 5 man, team game, where a center excels at other areas of the game than a guard, AND visa versa.
      That's called common sense, not made up ESPN all time ranking logic. They are in the entertainment business. They are not in the facts business. That's why wilt's contemporaries say that wilt has a case too..remember, no one can go in reverse in terms of time. The older guys have seen even more than Chris Broussard, or Stephen A, or Skip Bayless, or even Magic or Larry. They've seen MJ, and wilt, oscar etc.
      Now if you are a stats guy then Wilt, or even Hakeem smokes MJ when you talk straight all around stats..right?

    The point he made about the racial aspect of Bird vs Johnson and that sort of thing is actually somewhat valid. It was sometimes brought up ,back in the day , among my friends and Co workers. Black and white. But that was before everyone developed these stupid pseudo-- sensitivities about being " offended".
