  • One of the major problems in recovering from mental health issues is that many do not actually understand what mental health issues are - they do not have a real concept and so can struggle to support others or even recognise mental health issues in themselves or others. If you need a simple explanation for yourself or to show someone, this can give you exactly that.

Hello, i want to ask why does any kind of screens trigger my depersonalization? 🥴

I am not sure, but interestingly I do remember having a similar experience, so can suggest a few things: do you experience anxiety or even a little stress when using screens? Does the same thing happen whether the device is on or off? Have you had negative experiences using the devices which could mean your mind is associating negative things with them? It could be to do with eye strain which maybe could be a stress on the body, what happens if you slowly move your eyes around the screen when using them? For me I remembered in the past I would get addicted to using my phone or pc and would then miss things people were saying to me or would be running late which would make me anxious, so for me I think my mind made that connection possibly.

Thank you! I am 16 years old and i have visual snow and now depersonalization and i was pretty scared for a week i could not look at my phone for 5 sec. I think i have bad association with phones because all the doctors said to limit screen time and i also was addicted to my phone and always procrastinate. It was i think like coping mechanisms because i also had trauma.

Same issue with me. i was good at studies but now everything going bad....
The reason I feel the are...
      1) You are not confident with yourself 2) Or not confident with what you are doing/planning to do
      3) you do not love yourself thereby do not taking effort to do things that makes you happy
      4) you are having a monotonic life
      5) you are surrounded by toxic person/people or in a toxic environment
      6) you grew up amidst choas, abandonment, loneliness etc
      7) you are a codependent to other people's life or opinions which makes you difficult to stich to your on decisions (planning as in your case)
      8) you didn't had a proper upbringing where you were taught discipline (an important habit in life)

@@hamdhiharis6760 so.. It's better to 1) leave the choas, toxic environment
      2) start loving yourself unconditionally
      3) reparent yourself through therapy
      4) doing some hobbies you love
      5) being with good hearted people
      6) leaving unnecessary expectations from life just enjoy the moment with toral mindfulness
