I don't recall I have took my racquet back so far since I was a junior, I need to look into that, still taking baby steps to get back into tennis, thanks for video :-)

Great video. I also slide my hand further up the racquet to get a similar effect of reduced swing path.

Gosh this hits home. I have double faulted as many as 3 times in a game. I have also double faulted in tie-breaks and it is so excruciating painful. You are right - I feel embarrassed to hit underhand or your 1 to 1 serve swing . Your progression makes more sense to me. I am going to go out and practice the 1 to 1 swing serve.

Great tip, thanks. As a club level player I've been stubborn about having a 'pretty' swing all the time, but I noticed my returns are never good on power shots.

Good tip. Many players have one swing.

would you adjust your take back - say at no3 - when trying to do an approach shot after the other player has sent you a moonball that just sits in the middle of the court at shoulder height?
