    My deepest sympathy to you Andrew, and your family, for your loss. The loss of a parent is heart wrenching. Billy Jack is a legend in my eyes and I enjoyed watching him wrestle back in the 80s. He was in the business during that golden era. Great to see him .

    I’d like to thank you both for making this interview. The contents were interesting, Mr. Haynes was given enough space and time by the interviewer to substantiate his story.
    The absence of distracting music/ muzak or background noises (which -to my opinion- destroy an interview or a conversation to the utmost) was a pleasure and also quite notable: the facts or things being told by the guest sometimes seem sensational; they were expressed in a dignified manner.
    Good interview to watch and listen to, even for non-wrestling fans.

    Three things were repeated often about Billy Jack , he was out there , he was tougher than shoe leather , and he is hugely loyal . I would say they all ring pretty true . He obviously had a traumatic life and has won and lost against his demons . I cannot say that I can firmly get behind some of his stories but ovwr all I think the guy has a good heart .

      I think that saying that Roddy Piper was murdered is just a product of his illness . Roddy was clearly not healthy and had already stated that he was not going live long enough to claim his retirement money . Roddy had a nose xandy problem for years and that stuff cuts a decade or two off of your life expectancy . Don't think I make light of his illness here , its difficult to see someone struggle with lucidity .

    • @michaelr.4878
      @michaelr.4878 5 лет назад +2

      Hannibal is an idiot. While he lands some good guys to interview, he is absolutely awful as an interviewer and comes across as a totally naive and extremely unintelligent knucklehead. Sure, he might have a learning disability or something..but if you want to put out good content and want it to be taken seriously, get someone who can ask questions without coming across like a fool. The guy IS a good wrestler, however. But...he is essentially black balled from the wrestling business. He has to run his own shows in order to get work. Have you ever noticed that even indy promotions won't touch him???..let alone the bigger promotions or Japan. No one will touch him with a ten foot pole. He is a low IQ, trouble making stooge.

    • @pbanik
      @pbanik 5 лет назад +1

      @@michaelr.4878 Is he blackballed because he wanted to get compensated for something that wasn't his fault? Abdullah The Butcher is a prick for giving him Hep C, and didn't pay him the damages that were awarded to Devon Nicholson. He's a good wrestler for sure, since he was a former national champion in freestyle wrestling, was an Olympic Trial silver medalist in Greco Roman wrestling, and won Canadian and Ontario championships in grappling (submission wrestling), according to his Wikipedia page. He has worked for a number of different promotions. www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=2411&page=20 Pro wrestling is political, so getting to the big promotions and staying there doesn't just happen, unless you have someone there who likes you and is in a position of influence. The Hep C incident basically killed his chance of working for the WWE on a regular basis. How Hep C derailed Devon Nicholson's WWE deal

      At one point this guy was my favorite wrestler being from New York when he first came out he was wrestling Southern States wrestling in Oregon Texas are we get bootleg channels with a half-assed coat hanger on my TV on UHF and that's how I found this guy he was incredible his body was near-perfect with his knowledge of martial arts and he was not like any of the other typical wrestlers back in the day you know and then all of a sudden he just disappeared and then after that having those memories and then seeing him now is it's quite shocking and all of this stuff going on with Hannibal is even more shocking but it's very interesting seems like a very respectful guy and I'm sure he's been through a lot of shit I could see the road map on his face he's been through a lot in his lifetime obvious painfully obvious spider shaking as soon as voice as well great interview really great interview

    Billy jack is NOT the lowest rated wrestler in the world! He WAS Portland! All us kids worshipped him for years! If half of want me says is true...then Vince McMahon is a twisted fuck, and Billy Jack called him out in this shit, so Vince has to do anything he can to discredit him. So scoot Billy Jack to the bottom n pretend he’s a freak or liar or whatever. So yeah...I call bs! I didn’t even know there was a stupid corny rating for all wrestlers.

    Bill and I ran around together in Portland around 1978 or so. I met his dad, who was blind. They lived in a house right across from a funeral home...Bill hated that. His dad became blind from an accidental insulin overdose. That's what bill told me, anyway. We were both born on the exact same day and same yr. He was unemployed at the time and helping out at a local YMCA. That's where we met, in the weight room. First time he took me to his house, he had posters all over his room of his amateur boxing days. He was an addict gambler at the dog track....been going since he was a kid with his dad(before his dad went blind). I tried to get him to sit down with the racing form before we went and pick the races. When he did that he was right on the money. But when he got to the track, he would bet every race, lose the money that his dad gave him to bet races and spend the night trying to win back the money he lost from his dad. It was sad times. But one night....we boxed a Trifecta and hit it big. I remember celebrating at a Chinese restaurant because that was the only place open to eat. Man I though we were gonna rule the world. I even put money in the bank. Bill wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but his heart was way bigger than most and he knew between right & wrong. He was always a champion of the underdog, but turn his switch on and he could go crazy on anyone. We split up because he wanted me to bet with him every race and I didn't want that. In the summer of '80 I moved back to OR-Woodburn. Imagine my surprise when I saw him wrestling on the TV! He had never expressed any interest in any of that to me. The story I heard was that he approached Dutch Savage about a wrestling career and Savage sent him up to Canada to train. He was a good friend at the time....doubtless he even remembers me after his career. As far as drugs, we smoked weed....so he's saying he was dealing coke or whatever in 1978...not when I was around him. Bill wasn't smart enough to have a secret life like that and we knew each other to our cores.

    This interview was really making me frustrated. Billy is very humble and honest, and shared personal information for the first time in his life. The interviewer didn't even seem to really care, just waiting to get to the next question. Billy told him about the Satanic date rape, and that's when he called it quits. Then, later, he asks him again why he left, then he told the horrific story all over again. Billy was courageous enough and cares enough about children and people to expose the child trafficking and child pornography and human slavery in general, but the interviewer just moved right past that, like it's no big deal. Billy knows the truth about the evil in this world, and he's trying to expose it. The worst part is at the end, where Billy is explaining that he is about ready to break, and the interviewer does not let up. So narcissistic. That's why Billy laughed and actually tried to compliment him, because Jesus has truly converted his heart. The old Billy would have thrown him through a wall for that lack of respect for his emotions. I wanted to hug Billy right there, that's what he needed, not, "I got another question for you". I love Billy Jack Haynes, he is a very beautiful soul with a contrite and loving heart. God bless him.📖🙏✝️

      Have you ever seen interviewers stop mid interview to hug the person they’re talking to? Glad you enjoyed the interview.

    My uncle was extremely clean living, never drank or smoked and died of a heart attack at 60
    Where do people get the idea that if you're healthy it's not possible for you to have a heart attack?

    It's a great shame, because its a real mix of truth and non-truths, so it's hard to know what to believe......he's extremely bitter in so many different ways so he has a lot of motivation to relentlessly bury people. The Tom Zenk story is interesting though, because his career just pretty much ended in his prime, and he did leave the WWF very abruptly.

      I watched an interview with Rick martel a while back and he said something about how Tom had a huge ego. Apparently at wm3 there was something about zenk trying to finagle more money out of Vince for himself. Shortly after wm3 zenk was gone from the company.

    Wrestlers use to H-Bomb girls all the time back in the day.
    It wouldnt shock me if some male wrestlers also got some GHB or Halcion dropped in their drink.

    I saw the Roddy Piper interview they're talking about where he says when he was 14 he was a ring boy and he gets all teary-eyed and basically says Pat did stuff he shouldn't have done and Roddy didn't know any better cuz he was just a kid and he started crying so I believe Pat raped him
