This modern version of the Whiskey Smash was created by Dale DeGroff.
INGREDIENTS
- 3-4 mint leaves
- 1/2 lemon, cut into quarters
- 2 oz / 60 ml bourbon whiskey
- 0.75 oz / 22.5 ml simple syrup

Smash. Giving me mojito vibes with the mint. Reminds me of an old fashioned; but know that has bitters and orange instead of lemon and mint.

Do you use 1:1 or 2:1 simple syrup?

Simple syrup is 1:1. A syrup with a 2:1 ratio is known as a rich syrup.
