Inside of the first secret of "Give Me Back My Moon", you missed the super special secret. Shoot a rocket at the graffiti on the wall and an old friend will come out to give you a hug. You get cells and a megahealth for it. Thank you Sandy.
Really like that enemies have specific gibs now, instead of the "all use" generic gibs we got in the first version of the game. Also, that Blaster Guard at 5:20 has some insane reflexes, he just ducked under a rocket xD
I really enjoyed this level. It's so much fun to get a BFG right at the beginning, get constantly swarmed by enemies and be challenged to take them out as fast as possible with power weapons.
That moment in 15:24 when you jump down the portal and you hear those Shambler screams in the dark. Really scary. Does this also confirm a connection with Quake 1??
There's potentially also a connection to Doom Eternal and such. Note the downward trident symbol in Megacorpse IV, but also recall that in Eternal the moon is cracked for some unknown reason. And here we are fighting the Makron and its children in the core of the moon, which starts exploding after we do that... uh... whoopsie? :D
At some moment here I've dropped an intension to find all secrets and just dive into massacre. This episode is Doom Eternal inside the Quake... and it's freakin' GOOD!
11:04 Just like Quake 4 with the flashlight in a dark corridor full of monsters. This expansion is amazing. Will the 7 marines survive after each mission?
A few operations in the expansion ends with the places exploding once you've completed the objectives, I think only one marine survives, (ruined earth marine) while the rest are either trapped or killed, hard to say really
@@Anonymous-yq6wy ruined earth marine is still safe after completing the mission, it's just unclear whether the door in front of the darkest depths marine opened after he got stuck or not
For me, the data disc was where the red key card should have been. Edit: So apparently it was a bug that I'm assuming was caused by me loading a save in this level right after playing deathmatch with Random Weapons on, so it randomized all the items and weapons, because every time I restarted the level, it was all randomized again.
I have been playing this level on Hard. You are a much, much better player than me. I die a lot and have to spam save. Still fun. That part down in the tunnels with the monsters scared the shit out of me though, I couldn't stand hearing their footsteps approaching but you couldn't see them yet. Were they in the original Q2? I didn't remember them, but it's been a long while. Since Quake 2 came out.
On "give me back myh moon" i can't find last strogg to kill, anyone knows something about it? I tried even find it with noclip but enemy just not appear on map.
So far my least enjoyable map It's like the creator wanted to hide their inability to place enemies in a spots that make sense. Played better slaughters than that

Best level in Call of the Machine, hands down.
When the first weapon the level gives you is BFG10k. 🙃
The moment I've realized that episode will be something...
10:46 Where Quake's potential as a Sci-Fi horror game is revealed.

This is expansion is just getting better. One step away from an average Serious Sam and Doom Plutonia maps.
I love Quake 2s gibbing its so perfect
I do enjoy shooting the Enforcers heads off especially with the machine gun and SSG

0:31 Now that's how you start off a map 😁
15:30 John Madden! John Madden! Football!
Darn that brought back memories...
So excited to see you play this 😊
This game is really awesome !!! Highly polished Quake 2. 2023 is really amazing

Wow, that was intense, this would have been insane difficult in 1997.
Nah. Nothing too outstanding for the typical good DM in 2000s.
But yeah, have had to remember the skillz. Ah. COTM is dope.
5:00 Bro that map loooks like hell or dark wáter from quake 1
11:04 Just like Quake 4 with the flashlight in a dark corridor full of monsters. This expansion is amazing. Will the 7 marines survive after each mission?
Quake 4, along Quake 3 are still my favourite games. I don´t know why, perhaps becuse of the atmosphere and how the assests look like.
I'm not sure but (this) 3rd Marine seems to have died from an explosion; 6th is stranded and 7th is lost in space

@@RichardKienrams well at the end of darkest depths, it's made clear that marine got trapped and went insane from the looks of it.

Nice! I tried for ever to do that jump at 4:40, now I see you used a ledge to get on the crate?
Yes, in Q2 if you jump next to a ledge and keep bashing jump, you get a bit extra boost
@@pagb666 Cheers!
The secret Level is sick when you find the entry in this Level 😅 But with a nice Strategy its good to handle.

There shouldn’t be a shandler anywhere on the moon?

14:00 rocket jump where you.came from
So far my least enjoyable map
