I find individual takes on this topic fascinating and know very few witches irl to compare notes with! 🤓 Also, I was wondering if you’d feel comfortable/be interested in expanding upon an inspiration of yours you mentioned early in the video: drawing upon material gleaned from witch trials accounts in your practice? For myself, living and practicing on the North Sea coast of south east Scotland/sometimes north east England, I’ve always tended to skirt warily around this kind of material as a straightforward jumping off point for my own practice. Although, admittedly, I am yet to dip my toes in the kind of trance work and journeying that is so central to yours. I suppose I’m wary of the ways in which the words weaved by accused witches under duress, seeking to save themselves and others from torture and death, appear to feed into and upon one another. I do highly value teasing out references to the kinds of folk practices and apotropaic magic early modern peeps living here were drawing upon though, and the interesting ways they crop up in the records. One of my favourite resources for this topic more broadly is a collection of essays edited by Ronald Hutton “Physical Evidence for Ritual Acts, Sorcery and Witchcraft in Christian Britain”… maybe not a book for newbies, as per your prompt, but definitely a huge source of beautifully researched and referenced inspiration for me! I followed you on Instagram but completely understand your sentiments towards that platform 😆 I'm gradually beginning to explore my own Polish roots but, as you state in this video, I'm very far removed from them by distance, so it's a slow, sometimes uneasy, process. Niestety osoba która zaczyna - ma problem z odróżnieniem influencera od prawdziwego praktyka bo dużo prawdziwych praktyków nie udziela sie nigdzie i niestety ale ciężko w dobie też książek stworzonych tylko na sprzedaż a nie nastawionych na jakość - odnaleźć te co zawierają „ mięsko” Jeżeli chodzi o witch craft to prędzej śledzę Polki - bo jednak jakoś bardziej im wierzę , co niektóre Rosjanki niż np Amerykańskie czarownice na YT , które są wystylizowane , pięknie opowiadają a jednak jakoś trochę bardziej biorę informacje tam podane przez palce .
