seals the gap between the threads so it don’t leak

@@Northernheros Tape can be used on small pipe just stay two threads back so it doesn’t get inside, TAPE BAD on compression/unions, dope is fine but shouldn’t be necessary.

@@Northernheros You said you don’t need either on compression but it doesn’t hurt, which my experience tells me is wrong. Dope won’t hurt, tape will. Simple as. You also said don’t use tape on “small orifices” which is bad advice again, use tape and stay two threads off the “orifice.” I don’t think you really do this IRL mr yt comment knowitall so stop giving bum advice. Have the tail of the tape on the far side of the roll while you apply it so you can exert some tension as you roll.
