question- how do you do ratios when printing. I did my very 1st senior session and it went amazingly well thanks to your videos and simple poses. And my editing went very well all photos turned out amazing and my client absolutely loved them. I'm using Pixieset as a way for clients to download digitals and to buy prints. But i learned you have to leave space for different sized prints or the photos will be cut off. I've watched your video of how you edit some of your senior sessions and you crop the pic so close to the subject. How do you print those if they pick say 4x6 and 8x10 b/c it cuts differently. Do you have special packages of certain prints you allow to fit those? I'd love have them closer cropped like you did but printing then give me an issue. Sorry if you've already answered this in a video, I'm slowly working backwards and watching 1-2 videos a day as I learn.
Hey! So we always crop as shot inside of LR. We have learned to leave plenty of room for our clients so that they could order an 8x10 and it would still look good for them. We will crop in tighter for social media and what not but we like to deliver the more cropped our images to clients to make ordering prints easier.
Thanks for tuning in to our behind-the-scenes today! We hope to do more of these for you in the coming months. Have a great week!
8u and all on 8th
how many photos do clients expect to get from family portraits?
Great suggestion on remembering everyone's name! Love that input!
Love it.....more for sure!!!
Another good one! I have 2 family shoots this weekend, both involving a 2 yr old and a baby!!!
You’ll rock it!
Nice work !!!!
Thanks!

For the family walking all together are you at an f4 or above and who is your focus on? is it on mum or dad?
An f3.2 and usually we pick the mom but it doesn’t really matter when they are on the same plane.
Hello for family session do you charge a different price from shooting someone alone ?
What metering mode are you using? Is your lens on AF or MF?
I have a canon m50 and 50mm 1.4 lens and struggle with focus.
AF and matrix metering (evaluative)
Thank you 😊
This video was really helpful!

I’m a beginner, and I have a few questions, but your email didn’t work. Is there another one I can try? Thanks!

I will put on sticky paper the names of each family member and tape it to the bottom of my camera.
