When I played through Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for the first time around 20 years ago, I loved the Glitzville parts in the game.
Fighting through the leagues with a sense of mystery going around the arena was a lot of fun, but once you rescued Prince Mush, he just disappeared again. Although they mention him getting his comeback in an e-mail and show his image, he is never to be found again.
Yet after 20 years, here he is.
Ready to tan your 'stache.
Just like the ones in Super Mario RPG Remake, this new superboss was fantastic! Here's hoping Mario & Luigi Brothership also features some!

At the end of Chapter 6, it took me three attempts to beat him.
Technically without Lifeshrooms, although I had one on my third attempt, I didn't have to use it!

Him walking up and punching you is the scariest one to dodge especially when you only have 10 hp
I can't help but idolize Mush. Man was willing to join a fighting ring to provide for his family and was so good, Rawk Hawk seemingly needed to cheat to beat him.
Wait did Rawk Hawk beat him? I thought he "mysteriously" disappeared giving Rawk Hawk automatically the title of Champion.
@@sonicthehedge Going based off his tattle, it's implied that him and Rawk Hawk did have a match prior to him investigating what Gruba was doing.
@@dejinnthedjinn5311 reading the Tattle. All I could find is he doesn't like Cake implying that maybe Rawk Hawk did the same thing to poison him like he did in the main game.
But nothing about being defeated, prehaps he still managed through and prevailed until his capture.
@sonicthehedge It is mentioned that Mush and Rawk Hawk never actually had their match. And we do know that you can get disqualified for tardiness, as that was Rawk Hawk's final trick to prevent Mario from challenging him. So it's likely that Rawk Hawk incapacitated Mush with the cake, leading to automatic disqualification.
This guy truly holds up the Legend status.
If he decided to reclaim his champion title rawk hawk would get rawked, no contest.
I feel like, now that his sister manages the Glitz Pit, he doesn't need to. His family is provided for, and that was the reason he started this gig in the first place. But, as evidenced by this fight's mere existence, I think he definitely has the spirit of a wrestler in him. So he probably accepts exhibition matches from anyone above a certain rank.
@@Rot8erConeX Yea that's pretty much why I said "if he decided" cause he's now free to do so if he pleases. He wouldn't have trouble fighting to the top.
Mush should totally be a playable character in the next Paper Mario game. He would be a valuable asset against the new threat that will wreak havoc on the Paper Mushroom World.
In italian he's "Re Mush" which means *King* Mush and I actually prefer it as a name. This ain't no prince, he's a king of the ring
In Spanish he's T. Rex. Which a) follows the Toad naming rules, b) works as a pun by itself, and c) king.
He got so many cool names...

I was actually just talking about the different translations in my playthrough. It's fun to learn about the name puns for all the characters, there's some good ones out there!

@@sonnitude ah, nice. well he hits you numerous times so the seemingly innocent base attack of 6 is a big fat lie in more ways than one.
pretty sure prince mush has the potential to deal over 100 damage in a single turn. even bonetail cant do that.
@@Leeloo-Foxx True, But its over like 5 hits or so. Still though, they added this lost media after all these years and by gonzales, they did not disappoint.
no wonder rawk hawk needed to cheat. prince mush is pretty much a dbz character
