2023 and I just purchased a 365X for my new CC since I moved down to Florida and attire requires something smaller than my G19 Gen 5. The True Precision Barrel and Griffin Armament combo is featured on a list from Pew Pew Tactical for best 365 accessories and thats how I found your video. Really enjoyed watching you shoot (I just bought the same bag as you and will be purchasing a P320 soon...swear I'm not copying you HA) and I'm glad you're happy with them. Will be purchasing because of you, so thank you!!
I've been looking at the True Barrels and the Griffen Comp for a bit wondering if it would be worth the money. I'm glad to hear they are. Thanks for the video.
Just bought that same barrel for my P365 TacOps. Love the way the stainless steel looks with the black gun, and it adds about 3/4" to the barrel length (that's gotta increase the velocity by some, not sure how much). You got a better deal than I did, I bought it directly from True Precision and paid $180.
I’m going to be doing something very similar waiting for everything to show up. Thanks for the video and taking so much time on comparison shooting. You rule!

I just bought a new XL slide, XL threaded barrel and the Griffin comp to be able to do quick changes to my X Micro for when I want to mount a can. Everything just came in and I haven't gone to the range yet.
Because the barrel sticks out further than the light I doubt you'd have an issue with buildup on the light, mine sits just about flushed on my xl and still looks new.. on the other hand I have a x300u on my Glock that protrudes out and that one's a different story

I recently got a True Precision barrel for my XL and around 100 rounds I noticed the thread protector was coming unscrewed because the o-ring disappeared. True Precision told me I could buy new o-rings but that’s besides the point.
I’ve had to tighten my Griffin Armament comp after every range session. I’m more conscious of it now and will check it periodically while shooting. I have small 16mm wrench in my range bag.

I feel like I watched this video before. LOL Yeah, smaller guns are snappy. My Walther PPK 380 seems like it kicks like a mule. But my Glock 26 is not too bad. I haven't shot my 365 yet because of Ammo prices. I refuse to go to the range and waste that much money. As long as I can hit the target at 7 yards without really aiming, I think it will serve well as a self defense gun.
Great video. This helped me decide to NOT put this comp on my True Precision Hellcat threaded barrel with a TLR-7 Sub light due to the carbon completely coating the light. Over time the added heat and filth is likely to damage the light. Check out 16:25 in the video. Thanks.
You can find a mini comp that only has the slots up top,i wished they did that with this model and just made it with 2 slanted slots going up to the left and right.. I just ordered the HB tactical mini comp and it has smaller holes that may dissipate the carbon better and it was under $30 shipped.
Now that i think about it,I'm getting the HB mini comp and the holes would be easy to fill with the aluminum welding rods I've got and i could just fill in the 2 or 3 towards the bottom and use my Dremel to flatten the spots and repair it and all the lower holes would be filled.
You’re not the first to recommend Hogue grips. I think I’ve managed to control the snappiness with my true precision barrel and griffin armament micro comp 👍
Hello thanks for the great review. A question on the p365 macro could the barrel be changed to a longer one just to the end of the gun even though the comp wouldn't work much. Thanks
Did you have any issues with the True barrel scraping the inside of the slide? I had that issue after just 50 rounds. The barrel was really scratched up as well. The stock barrel has over 1000 rounds without that issue.
Many people, if they load 15rds into a mag and load it into the gun (with the slide forward like if you carry with an empty chamber), they can't rack the slide. It will only move about 1/2" back, but can't clear the top round. It completely jams the gun. They can't pull the slide far enough back to load the top round. They would have to remove the magazine, lock the slide back, insert the magazine and then release the slide to load the gun. Only happens with 15rds in a 15rd magazine (or full magazine) but not if the magazine is downloaded by one. Honestly not sure if it happens with 17 rd magazines too or only 15rd mags.
@@dangoldnerd I hope SIG fixes it too. So far they're just telling people to download their magazines to 14 and are offering no support or any info on how to fix. The problem is the bump at the front (under) the slide that strips the top round into the magazine is getting stuck on the top bullet.
@@deucedeuce1572 that’s crazy! Never heard of problems arising after the initial launch and adjustments. So mine was fine but subsequent ones have this problem? Seems like over engineering 🤔
@@ph00ny1 Glad to hear. Not sure how many guns are effected. Have seen it first hand. If you don't rack the slide very quickly and forcefully, it'll jam up and can't be racked. I think firing the gun would be forceful and fast enough to cycle the slide, but haven't seen it tested with an effected gun. The cause is the sharp angle on the bump at the under side of the slide at the bolt face. (The part of the slide that strips the rounds from the magazine). If you look at a Glock or other guns, they have a gradual taper, but for some reason, SIG made theirs really short with a sharper angle and much less taper. Not sure how many are effected. Heard one person say 1%, but I think it's more common.

@dangoldnerd have you thought about the katana magwell for the xl?
Never gave it a thought. I don’t think I need it. It looks cool but I think it would compromise how it conceals. Maybe if I had a race gun 🤷🏻♂️
It has improved the feel of the grip for me but i am skinny so it has not affected concealability.
@@williambarber627 we need a video, Brah! 🤣
Maybe. I dont have equipment for that though. My wife would shoot me 🤣
@@williambarber627 all I use is my iphone; and the only thing my wife shoots are exasperated eye rolls towards me 🤣🙄
Would you recommend using loctite on the comp? Blue or red loctite?
I use blue
@@dangoldnerd ok so upon my research. Im going to go with one for my EDC. Whats a good website to order from? I see alot on ebay for good prices, could those be knockoffs?
@@StylesBlender I got my true precision barrel and griffin armament comp from Optics Planet.
@@dangoldnerd thank you so much sir. I really watch your channel for feedback and appreciate your replies. Im pretty good shooting with my XL even tho it has less round than the p365. Getting the comp for the p365 to see if i can actually hit targets. Im really hoping it helps as i carry the p365 and not the XL. I own both but use the XL for practice more so.
@@StylesBlender so the comp is for the 365, not the XL? Be sure to get the shorter 3.6 inch barrel; my XL has 4.1 inch, I think. I would like to see your final build. You should make a video 👍
Noticed you were “milking” your grip frequently on the stock barrel and you had a much more firm and solid grip after installing the
Also WTF ammo are you using? Dirty stuff. Either that or you fired 300 rounds
I used aluminum case ammo
@@dangoldnerd what does that mean? I think you answered the wrong comment
@@DisgustedGenXr you asked wtf ammo I was using. I used aluminum cased ammo. 🤷🏻♂️
I can tell you, your speed was faster with the barrel and comp.
Yeah I felt the same, but wasn’t sure if it wasn’t a placebo-like effect. Thanks for confirming 🤙
What holster is that?
Tier 1 Concealed Axis Elite. I had to mod it to fit the Tac Dev rail and True Precision barrel.
I want mine to look like yours.
That’s easy enough to do. Good luck 👍
My buddy does the isosceles or cup and saucer or whatever and every one of his guns hop furiously and I told him how I shoot when I seen a competitive shooter show how they shot and I tried it with my 365 and it changed the whole gun game for me and I showed him and he's a much better shot now and then the other real good shooter the Ed dude said that if the gun feels perfect in your hand when you're shooting it it's probably dead wrong man in your holding it at an angle or your head sideways you're not on target yeah that's crazy that holster you have unless it's out the waistband is too big for me I keep my mags in my pocket or in my bag my backups and I also have a belt clip where I can put them I don't even understand what all the other stuff does LOL when I got mine it was just too big so I took it back but anyway if you're looking for a Glock light and Holster combo that absolutely will blow your mind for like $100 try the Warrior land crossbow I took it over my buddies and he has all the expensive lights on the guns and it pretty much destroyed 3/4 of his collection it had magnetic charging had an LED indicator screen a laser light and strobe and the den light tap to light and then hold to light all that and 850 Lumen super huge flood range with a long search
What kind of holster is that
The 365 XL rides in a Tier 1 Concealed Axis Elite; the M&P is in my diy holster.
Can the xl barrel fit in a standard p365
Probably; it’ll stick out like a threaded barrel would.
eBay has the mini comp like these for $40.
kewl....
🤣
I heard it has failure to feed with the true barrel
I haven’t had ANY issues so far, close to 1,000 rds. I clean my weapons after every session. 🤷🏻♂️
@@dangoldnerd ok bc i was thinking about getting this for my sig 365xl!
@@jerseyltd most of the 1,000 rds have been steel and aluminum case ammo ‘cuz I’m cheap, but seriously, not a single hiccup.
Yes it does when it gets loose not worth the trouble
@@barryblack5816 a drop of blue loctite works. Even before that I never had any misfeeds or failures cuz the comp was loose 🤷🏻♂️
They make a gas pedal version of that rail now
I’m pleased with the bit of talon grip tape that I use. The gas pedal looks ginormous on the 365, not to mention trying to mod a holster for it; I’ll pass. 🤷🏻♂️
I have a tribe spelled t r y b e Barrel Ron in this camp on my micro NRA and I see multiple people leaving multiple reviews and when I got my 365 I put probably a thousand rounds through it within the first two to three months and then I learned very quickly how to find the sweet spot right before it's too much pressure for the thumb on the slide recoil control so I can already do Magnums from 3040 yards away and hit Center Mass on a Target with hardly one stray I put that Barrel on there with that comp not expecting what I already had was Zero recoil from what I was doing and to me it was like shooting a blowback pellet gun minus the noise I mean it was to me drastically different like I could hit somebody running shooting sideways at me probably 4 or 5 times in a 5-inch area with that with a rapid or say three shots with like a triple dump or a double tap and I also have ran it on my 19 I mean my Glock 19 dagger clone guns and on my glock 239 mm conversion threaded barrels and believe it or not I think that little guy works better than the bigger ones that you see because I have the other big one they have the big square one I forget who makes it I think it's TPI 22 and 3 perform better than the bigger TPI made for the bigger gun yeah that holster is crazy I got a 69 dollar random screw it let's see what it's about deal on eBay of the warrior land light holster combo and when I put my Barrel on and my comp and the trigger light everything is covered including the comp very comfortable the one you have is huge I had one like that before it was a black hawk or a cervic surgical or something I don't know serpick and I had to take it back it was too much shit going on and the tribe barrels are phenomenal I would even say they are quite a bit more accurate than the OEM 9 mm barrels
When you told me what day it was and weather comments….I’m OUT
Sorry to hear that. Thanks for stopping by.
This comps are 90% for looks they are use less get a real comp for these guns plz
I think you’re right. What would you suggest?
This guy is hard to watch
Thanks for watching
does the comp actually help @dangoldnerd
I believe it helps, for whatever that's worth. It gets me back on target faster and if nothing else, the longer barrel adds velocity and is more accurate.
Thank you for your thoughts on it. Makes me a little more excited to get it to the range.
@@williambarber627 would like to hear your thoughts about it 👍
No
I have that setup.....400 dollars later and my micro still shoots like a micro, that I bought for 400 dollars.
So you’re saying you don’t like it?
Athletic tape is better than that grip tape, works amazing on tennis rackets too and tool grips in general
I think athletic tape isn’t aggressive enough and will degrade faster especially after being exposed to gun oil.
@@dangoldnerd You can use Howies Non-Stretch Pro Grip Tape, and you can replace it after each gun range, it takes 1 minute. And if you have to worry about gun oil on your grip, then you have a much bigger problem with what you are doing.
I’ll have to rewatch the video ‘cuz I don’t remember how much I paid😁. How are you liking your setup?
@@dangoldnerd Haven't shot it yet in this configuration as I just got the True Precision barrel delivered 3 days ago. But love the slightly longer barrel and the bigger feed ramp it has. Plus the stainless steel is a nice contrast to the black gun. Love the feel of the gun - the grip with the included magwell fits my hand perfectly. 17+1 capacity, 4.3" threaded barrel, and so slim - can't ask for much more in an EDC.
I agree! Have a threaded barrel on order for my FDE Hellcat Pro as well, and coupled with the new 17-rd mags for that I should have two really nice EDC options. Alternate every other day, Lol.
