I like that you're not afraid to put famous bands like Burzum and Mayhem near the top. So many people want to pretend these bands are bad, or "not that good", as if they didn't define and redefine the sound of the entire genres.
I prefer Hvis Lyset Tar Oss, such a deep and profound spiritual experience to listen to, and Grand Declaration of War is equal to DMDS in my eyes, but for different reasons.

Burzum is bad but Mayhem's Deathcrush and DMDS are essential and DMDS is the best album according to many musicians within the scene. Even Pytten himself agrees with that.
I love you dude, So cool that you can separate the Art from the Artist, especially with a lot of these bands having some pathetic ideologies that are directly aimed at you.

A blaze in a northern sky is my favourite black metal album. De mystreriis dom sathanas is my second.
This was such a great watch, man....... Excellent job to take the music over some of these guys' ideals. The entire planet can learn from this.... Not just BM fans.

🤔 I never imagined I'd see a guy with a yarmulke talking about how much he likes Burzum and Satanic Warmaster. The power of Metal is truly mighty. Great list. Many of your favorites are also mine. One thing though, Obscure Verses for the Multiverse is Inquisition's finest album followed by Ominous Doctrines of the Perpetual Mystical Macrocosm. How do you reconcile praising this music with your religious beliefs? Many of these bands are charlatans but at least a couple you named are sincerely Satanists.
Thanks a'lot. Really metal as music unites us all. Of course as a religious orthodox Jew (and Rabbi), I don't agree with satanic or anti-religious lyrics, but I adore the music. But as metalheads we don't have to agree with Cannibal Corpse's lyrics, to listen and like their music. The same with me (the only personal limit/red line is that I'm not listening to explicitly nsbm). Stay Metal.

And something even more general. We try to keep the commandments of God's Torah/Law, because of our eternal commitment to them as faithful Jews. Not only because of fear.

This is a great list, I enjoyed your list more than Bryce and Quest, lots of crossover but it was cool that you made it 50 different bands.
Also interesting you still can appreciate and enjoy the musicality of right wing political bands.
Thanks a'lot. Of course nazi sympathizers or neo-nazis of nsbm, are not only "right wing political bands". Personally if a band doesn't put its ideas (nazi or leftist) inside the lyrics or the image of their band, I'll continue to appreciate their music, even if I not appreciate the members of a such a band as personalities.

Hell yeah... At the Heart of Winter is also my favorite Immortal. Just amazing riffs piled onto more amazing riffs. Melechesh is amazing... Been listening to them for years. Not a bad album from them. Moonsorrow and Falkenbach are great viking bands. Drudkh is one of my favorites, especially the first four albums. Emperor is my favorite black metal band (at least from the older bands), and I think Anthems wins over In the Nightside Eclipse, but just barely. Both incredible. Dawn is so good. Another favorite, and just as good as Dissection, in my opinion. I think Panzerfaust is the Darkthrone I go back to the most, honestly. Vobiscum Satanas is the Dark Funeral that I prefer also. It's all about those deep, dark vocals. Spectral Wound is amazing... I just got that album and need to listen to it more, but I'm very familiar with the newest release. Necromantia rule! Great video! Even though it's been over a year since you posted this, i may have to do a response to this topic!

Drudkh is not NSBM. I don't know why so many people think so. They use poetry by poets who were killed by soviet russia just because of ukrainian language and love to motherland. Some of their albums is about nature.
The whole thing is that the master-mind behind Drudkh/Hate Forest, he is a neo-nazi. But yes, Drudkh is not nsbm.

For me they're even more nsbm, than Drudkh for example. For this reason, I don't listen to them , in the first place.
