Lance Henrikson is probably the most underrated actor from the 80s and 90s. He is in so many good movies and always gives great performances. Even when he is in bad movies, his performances elevate the quality of the overall film. Call me crazy, but I think he deserved an Oscar nod for "Near Dark".

Another film you inspired me to track down, touching sentiment at the end. I've know too many people who have fallen into the inescapable hole of utter disparity and hopelessness. Awhile ago you did a review of Nothing But Trouble with Dan Akroyd. Could you do an in-depth review of my favorite bizarre comedy of his 1980's Neighbors? It is so weird with John Belushi playing the straight man as Dan Akroyd's Captain Vic and Ramona move in next door to his home at the end of the street, and turn his world upside down. Hilariously bizarre, great social commentary on the times and deconstruction of the American dream all but forgotten by modern audiences. I would love to hear backround of the making of it. I applaud your action at the end; suicide is something that isn't been taken serious enough by most people, until it's too late. So; call people once in a while, talk to them, listen to them, maybe even talk to that weird kid who's always alone, and don't be deterred if he or she turns you away the first few (dozen?) times; there is most likely a very precious person under that facade.
Thank you for doing an exploration of Man's Best Friend, Cecile (I hope I spelled your name right). I've always thought this movie was highly underrated!
I remember this as a child, I was like 12 years old and a friend said this movie was the most horrific movie he's seen (remember, my friend also was a 12 year old) and described the movie as "Beethoven from Hell' (as in Beethoven the friendly dog, not the composer).
I remember as a kid our local Video Rental Store had this in their horror section. Was never allowed to rent it, but I always liked looking at its box art with the robot dog.
I remember watching this movie as a kid with my dad. I always remembered the actual movie but took me 20 years to remember and find the actual title of the movie. When I found the title I bought it and own a DVD copy of the film. I still enjoy watching it here and there but remember seeing the Max puppy waiting for a sequel that'll never come

Always enjoyed how much effort you put into your intros.
Dylan Church You were close, just take the letter E off at the end.
The scene where the dog jumps over the cop cars made me and my buddies rofl for hours
Yeah!!! New Video!!!
Been watching all the old ones and ran out!!
John Lafia: The patron saint of Good Bad Flicks
No love for David DeCoteau or Charles Band? Not even Roger Corman or Golan-Globus?
Belgand plenty of love for them, giving patron saint status to Lafia just felt right.
Didn't he direct Child's Play 2 the best Chucky Sequel.
Hakkem Johnson Yeah he did. Better than the original, in my opinion.
I remember watching this movie as a kid with my dad. I always remembered the actual movie but took me 20 years to remember and find the actual title of the movie. When I found the title I bought it and own a DVD copy of the film. I still enjoy watching it here and there but remember seeing the Max puppy waiting for a sequel that'll never come
Oh snap! I loved this movie as a kid.
I remember renting this movie back in the early '90s. I really liked it. Very underrated. Thanks for reviewing it.
Please review Rapid Fire at some point.
