@@owencampbell777 2nd this, your thoughts on the hill and the different things you think about while skating lead to some good things for us to wrap our own silly heads around haha any plans to try out the 88wheel co mavericks? Been thinking about both mags and mavericks and as a light rider I have been tentative about mags since I ride plum alphas
i have always found that a more supported lid gives a more defined edge feeling between grip and slip, while a lip that has less support will tend to have more of a "grey" zone between grip and slip. so by flipping you can change the intial feeling of the slide. i feel like the axel center diameter to wheel offset is the most important dimension to keep in mind when setting up any size board
Your input on gear and setups is great for newbs like me trying to figure out how to tweek a setup and figure out problems we might have and this style video is awesome to see you skate close up not only helpful but also entertaining.
Smokies tip, you want to really stand on that front truck. Maybe a bit more than you ahve in the other trucks. Haven't watched the video yet but maybe that was his issue.
I think Dane stepped away because they asked riders to pay for wheels or something. Or they couldn't support him as much any more 🤔 Cueis still make podiums and did when Magnums and a lot of the wheels we see today were in use.
I'd watch these regularly, you could dicuss different areas/topics each session
Hell yeah, I’ll get to it then!

So glad you’re uploading again!
Thank you, it means a lot to hear

I really appreciate this comment, thank you!
Also the come session vibe hits home
I just want gear-nerd-hike sessions all every damn day
Keep ‘em coming man, glad to see the new content coming in.
Glad y’all are enjoying them! I got the itch again and got too much shit to say
great video man
Glad you are ripping these trucks! Happy to see some miles on em!
Thanks for sponsoring the video by lending them!
+1 sub. Was watching your maryhill vid from about a year ago and then a bunch of your other videos- the contents great and really informative!🔥🔥
Thank you so much! That Maryhill video is really special to me. It makes me happy that others find value in it
Nice trail 👍, it's crazy how long it takes you to walk up vs ride down 😂
Filming while I hike has proven itself to be a very efficient way to make videos AND keep me entertained
@@owencampbell777 I'm liking the nerding out on longboarding while walking 👍
Damn! That path looks dope.
I nearly wept the first time I saw it. Such a fun and challenging spot
I would too! I’ve driven 500 miles around the Bay Area recently looking for spots to skate downhill. It’s really hard to find a good spot. Any tips?
I wish, bro. I just use Google Maps in “terrain view”
Amazing video
Thank you!!!
Smokies are on sell right now for 279.99 from 399. But, they are out of stock. So it doesn't matter. Look at a good deal can be heart warming though.
Too good to be true. They went out of stock a couple weeks ago. I doubt they would ever be sold that cheap. We can dream though
Now try bombing hills on a Logan Earth Ski.
The pole gets considerably more bent as the video progresses. Good video
Haha! I didn’t even notice
It starts creaking bad at the end. It broke after this session

For Kyle that is
Damn I'm early early, quality still at 360p.
Hope that shit changes, oops

Fair enough
It was a big generalization, I know their riders are still topping shit
