  • The Brandon Lawson case:
    I just find out about this case on reddit and it immediately got my attention.
    The first time I listened to the 911 call I heard things nobody seems to mention on the internet.
    I could clearly hear another person in the background saying something like "protect yourself".
    I could also hear a gunshot and while the 911 operator is asking "do you need a ambulance?" I can hear someone saying the same time "guy got shot.."
    Skip to 0:55 to hear this part
    Listen for yourself and let me know what you think...

    This was posted by his family on the Facebook page 10 hours ago:
    Good morning community.
    We would like to share with you the latestest update on the DNA analysis of the remains found in February of 22. We have received the preliminary test results of that analysis. The Laboratory is currently re running the test to confirm the analysis so that there will be little margin for error and all ducks will be in a row. We will update everyone as soon as we hear from the Ranger in charge of Brandon's case. In the meantime Law Enforcement as well as both of our Private Investigators(Jason Watts and Lou Barry) continue to investigate any and all tips/information that comes to us. Brandon's absence continues to be felt everyday by his loved ones and friends. We know that God will continue to love and comfort those closest to Brandon. We appreciate all prayers and well wishes.
    Thank you for all your love and support.

    I'm southern and when we say, "ran into them" we mean that we came up to them; saw them. I don't know if that's exactly what he meant, but that's what it sounds like. Ran into them doesn't necessarily mean literally hit them. I don't usually automatically suspect foul play but this sounds like he saw something he shouldn't have. I don't think that's his voice saying "yes" when the operator asks if he needs an ambulance. Why would he call 911 to report police officers out there?! He saw something he shouldn't have and was silenced.

    • @richardbrake9454
      @richardbrake9454 6 лет назад +19

      We yanks use "ran into them" for the same reason, but I do think it is Brandon's voice saying "yeah." I think Brandon was either talking to someone else or did not hear the question correctly at first. Either way, i want these corrupt police to get prosecuted.

    • @jhibbitt1
      @jhibbitt1 5 лет назад +12

      i've several thoughts on that "yes" but I feel it was most probably brandon who said it, not someone else. since he was scared and not concentrating, he just said "yes" automatically just because she spoke and then his brain caught up and registered her actual question so he said "no, I need the cops." it might not have been a "yes" but a grunt of pain since he sounds like he's in pain when he says it. he's almost certainly running during this call because several times you hear him pause for breath and sometimes his words sound slurred and incoherent because he's breathing heavily like someone running. my other thought is that he might have had someone with him, maybe someone who was also in danger and brandon was trying to help hence his constant use of the word "we" maybe that person asked brandon a question at the same time as the operator asked if he needed an ambulance and brandon first answered the person's question with a "yes" and then answered the operator's question afterwards "no I need the cops"

    Most people commenting here do not understand what has taken place. At the beginning of the 911 call, Brandon says "I'm in the middle of a field." "A state trooper just pushed some guys over." This was edited by law enforcement so that it sounds like "STAPERS." The middle part of "STATE TROOPERS" was removed. The "STA" was left in, while the TE was removed from "STATE." "PERS" was also left in, while "TROO" removed from "TROOPERS." One of the biggest cover ups in law enforcement history, but I would not be surprised to see this whole thing fall on its head in 5 or 10 years.

      I've read a lot about the case, I don't believe it was an officer's property... It was just a private homeowner's property who refused the search. The police didn't even get to search the private property because the guy who owns it refused. I still fail to see how one could suspect the police themselves. The idea that a sheriff owned the private land was just a rumor.

    • @ceelow107
      @ceelow107 5 лет назад +23

      @@alienwarex51i3 ok guess I was misinformed. The other reason I believe was that people think the 911 call sounds doctored. Plus the local sheriffs wife owns the local newspaper. The newspaper didn't report what happened. They just wrote small article on how a guys got stranded when car broke down.
      I myself do think the 911 call sounds odd. People say when he says "staper" it's actually 1 seconds cut out and he's actually saying "state trooper".
      These are just the things I read. I have no idea what happened. There was another phone call made from the guy to his bro after the 911 call also that isn't mentioned in that video and there has to be a better reason to make everyone believe cops involved because that wouldn't just come up for no reason I think. I'm not saying it's correct though

    • @alienwarex51i3
      @alienwarex51i3 5 лет назад +13

      Keep in mind that when a case as mysterious as this one comes up, people tend to think of every single possibility. That is why the idea of the police being involved is floating around. Anything indicating police involvement is purely speculation; there's essentially zero evidence pointing to rogue police officers. This does not mean that it's not a possibility - we certainly cannot rule that out.
      It also appears that you are misinformed on the Sheriff's wife - the article she published was titled "Law enforcement concludes man not in Coke County," and you can read the full text here (facebook.com/ObserverEnterprise/posts/law-enforcement-concludes-man-not-in-coke-countymembers-of-texas-search-and-resc/546880375393406/ )
      You can read a discussion about said article on the official website for finding Brandon: www.missingbrandonlawson.com/p/case-questions.html
      Furthermore, I will agree with you that the audio sounds distorted. If you want to know my personal beliefs, I am convinced that Brandon was likely high on methamphetamine. He sounds very similar to people who are having meth-induced hallucinations. There's another case out there where a man and a woman (young couple) left their heated car in the middle of a blizzard to try and walk for help, and ended up dying of exposure. They were eventually found to be high on meth, and the 911 calls of theirs sound eerily similar to the speech of Brandon here. Search up "Janelle Hornickel and Michael Wamsley" to find more about _that_ case, and the calls are uploaded here on RUclips.
      Unfortunately, nobody knows what happened - not even the police, likely.

I once met a man that said he had notebooks filled with stuff angels told him to write. I asked him if he was drunk when the angels had him writing and he answered, “yes”. Sometimes common sense needs to prevail, but people can’t see the bigger picture. If people were being shot and run-off by troopers surely the brother would have run into the crime scene too.

      Doubt it's a cover up by cops. Maybe they had more to do with it than is being represented, but they probably did not physically hurt Brandon. He most likely freaked out on meth when he ran out of gas. Possibly ran into a hostile person, but maybe panicked ran into the brush and died on his own accord tripping on meth. Seeing as meth can essentially make someone schizophrenic, even if there was someone else Brandon ran into I think he died hallucinating that he was in more danger than he actually was. I don't see how a county police could have done anything to Brandon. Blaming the entire situation on undermanned cops isn't rational in this case.

      Sounds like he said "a state trooper just pulled some guys over, there is one car here and (ineligible) in the woods" and then said something like "it was joe". Operator said "oh you ran into him" like she knew who he was talking about. Then heard a guy in the background say "protect yourself" then the gunshot. Then he said "they (or he) got shot" I think he said "yeah" to her question about him running into someone (Joe possibly?) Then he said he needed the police. I think that's when he realized he was in trouble.
      My guess is when he wasn't answering the operator, he was running and that's why he said "god help me." The trooper that was there was probably one of the troopers who were trying to kill him. He never left. The trooper was still there trying to find him and that's why when the brother showed up, he told his brother to run. The trooper still stayed there when the brother left because he wasn't going to leave until he found him and killed him. Since the brother said "oh I keep dropping his calls", the officer knew he was still alive.
      I believe the troopers and operator heavily edited that phone call and covered it up. I also believe the brother and girlfriend know wayyy more than they are saying. I would bet money that the brother and girlfriend got voicemails from him and he probably told them everything through voicemail amd text. Also, didn't Brandon tell his brother he was bleeding? Why would his brother leave him there after he said he was bleeding? I think the police threatened Kyle and his families lives if he said anything about what happened and the same with ladessa... They probably threatened to kill her and her kids if she said anything. The 911 operator gets a phone call saying they need the police and she only calls one officer 🤔 Massive cover-up.

    2 things
    1. The "second voice" could just be echo of the 911 operator
    2. If you hear she says "Run that by me o-" and then it's cut off as if it was edited (a common theory) and when she asks if he needs an ambulance he says "Yeah-" and then "No I need the cops" which also could be editing.
    What makes it creepier is that the second voice saying "Protect yourself" could be the echo of a part that the operator said that was cut out. The operator said "Protect yourself". It's also suspicious that they never tried to find the operator that answered, which leaves it all a mystery.

Where are they? Clearly you hear someone else say ‘protect yourself’ and also when asked if they need an ambulance someone faintly said ‘yes’ but Brandon says no we need the cops. the second voice sounds like the beginning of brandon's sentence just not coming through as clearly. it flows directly into brandon saying "....shot the first guy". if you listen closely to what "the other voice" is saying, you can hear the vowel "a" in its drawn out form, the way it sounds in the alphabet. it sounds to me like brandon likely said "staper shot the first guy" and the "staper" part seems to have been edited to be ambiguous. i think brandon is indeed with someone else, trying to protect themselves after fleeing from the scene of the first shooting. he witnessed two guys get pulled over and one of those guys get shot. he and the other guy are chased into the woods either by the same trooper or another trooper on scene. eventually they find a safe spot and brandon calls 911. the officer brandon sees committing the shooting is the same officer who was at brandon's car when kyle arrives. brandon at this point, still hiding, is aware that the officer just committed a murder, urges his brother to run from this officer. once the brother is gone from the area, brandon is eventually located and dealt with by the officer. he could have been mistaken on the status/jurisdiction of the officer and used staper as a general term off the top of his head for cops. OR there was a state trooper AND this officer both at the shooting scene working together. either way, the officer at brandon's car when kyle arrived had already been there on the scene and brandon had witnessed him doing something bad.

      Brandon: "That a gunshot?"
      2nd guy: "Yeah"
      Brandon: "No, I need the cops."

      I believe his entire family was threatened. That's why they are saying it wasn't a gun shot. Brandon had to of left voicemails and text messages to his brother and girlfriend telling them what was happening. That's why when his brother showed up, Brandon told him to run. He was watching the trooper look for him and then saw his brother pull up. I think after his brother left, the trooper found him and killed him. Then they took the cellphones of his brother and his girlfriend and threatened to kill them all if they said a word. The family had to lie about what happened. Too many powerful people involved. It's not a 2nd voice, it's Brandon saying, "The "staper" shot the first guy." His truck ran out of gas, so he approached a "staper" i.e. state trooper on the bridge while the cop was killing/disposing of bodies. The staper catches up and shoots him three times right after the operator asks if anyone is hurt. Silencer was used. NOTE: I've since corrected my interpretation to: "Yes, I'm in the middle of a field, a staper (state trooper) just cruised (pulled) some guy(s) over, right here goin' towards Abiline on both sides... my truck ran out of gas, there's one car here, got chased through the woods... please hurry... I've been a musician for over 20 years. I have a very good ear. I'm 98% sure this is what Brandon says re-listening: "Yes, I'm in the middle of a field, a staper (state trooper) just cruised (pulled) some guy(s) over, right here goin' towards Abiline on both sides... my truck ran out of gas, there's one car here, got chased through the woods... please hurry... (went up) talkin' to him... Uh, I totally ran into him... (sta)per shot the first guy...No, I need the cops." (three gunshots w/silencer). Brandon is in a state of shock, and disbelief, as if he can't believe what just happened. Because he's being chased, he gets to the point right away: 1) Where he is, 2) What he just saw in sequence. He came up on a state Trooper that had pulled some guys over. He saw an officer he thought could help him... until he sees the Trooper execute the "first guy." He walked right into the crime scene where someone was shot. The "first guy" is the first guy Brandon sees in the car, likely the passenger if he's walking on the side of the road. When he got close enough, he must have seen the crime in progress. The chase begins. Likely another Trooper chases him down. Brandon is buried on private land, owned by someone who is close to the State Troopers or is related to the killer Trooper(s).

    I was trained in the Coast Guard to listen carefully and hear things (sitting the Morse code watch). I hear Brandon say “State trooper” where others hear “staper”. If a State Trooper was going rogue, then Brandon would not want another trooper there. Later he told Kyle to run from the state trooper. So when Brandon said he needed cops, could he have meant local cops from Bronte? I don’t know the custom there, are State Troopers normally called “cops”?

    Also worth noting that the 911 call was edited when Brandon says "Staper shot the first guy." They tried to remove "Staper." But you can still hear it. This is a cover up, pure and simple.

    Listen to multiple versions of the 911 recordings closely (it's not a 2nd voice, he's moving his moith away from the reciever)
    "Yes Im in the middle of a field, a sniper just perching guys over, were out here going towards Abiline on both sides"
    "My truck ran out of gas..... Heard one car here, the guys chasing to the woods....please hurry
    ....now I'm not talking to him, I accidentally ran into him...(hardly audible: "snipers"?/"fuckers"?/"detectives"?) shot the first guy....(he says "I got cuts" (from barbwire fences?) right when she says "do you need an ambulance") yeah, no, I need the cops"
    A sniper in a perch (or someone high as hell who thinks there is a sniper in a perch)
    ...I think it may be "both sides" (not Bronte) meaning that the people involved are on both sides of the road and/or he/they are going (on foot) north towards Abiline and keep crossing the two lane highway
    ----------------------------------
    Look up "Coke CAD" (Coke being Coke County) Property number 15830, as far as I can discern the land where his truck was found is around there owned by Jerry Sefcik of Sefcik Reality but largely used by MSI (Mining Solutions INC). On the west side, barely north of the square type quarry with liquid on the east side.

    _Yes, i'm out here in the middle of a field, there's _*_people_*_ pushing guys over..."_
    He mispronounces _people,_ while having an accent *_on top_* of that, so it's hard to make out - but i'm from Tennessee & you won't hear thicker southern drawl *_anywhere_* else in the US - i'm *very,* _nearly_ *certain* that's what he's saying.
    IMO what he means by that is whoever's doing the shooting (seconds later) has some guys (i believe 3 of them) held at gun-point. 1 of them is dead already, based off Brandon's statement @00:29:
    *_"They_*_ shot the 1st guy..."_
    The other 2 victims are on their knees, probably cuffed or tied up, & along w/another accomplice (possibly 2) they're roughing them up, kicking them over or violently throwing them around. In the process, 1 tried to flee, is pursued, based off what Brandon says next:
    _"There's 1 car here - he got chased into the woods, please hurry!"_
    While 1 of the assailants is off chasing that guy who fled, there's 1 left alone is still on his knees. Where you hear _"protect yourself"_ I hear a man; the last man of the 3 who isn't dead _pleading_ w/a _"detective"_ & while i can't make out _all_ of what's said, i _think_ he says the _detective's_ name immediately after, but it's too muffled to hear. While *pleading,* & *begging* - it's pointless, because before he can even finish the last sentence he'll ever speak. The _detective_ fires a shot, killing him.
    _"I accidentally ran into 'em..."_
    I'm thinking what he means is, he unwittingly stumbled upon something he wasn't supposed to see while walking through a secluded area - that _something_ was some _detectives_ tying up some loose ends. This is an *extremely* unfortunate case of incidentally being in the *_wrong place,_*_ at the _*_wrong time._*
    When Brandon suddenly stops talking,, he's trying to be _as _*_quiet_* as he can be while hiding in the nearby woods, as the _detective_ has _probably_ noticed/heard him. Brandon attempts to run when the cop is too close to just sit there, & let the crooked-cop find him; he doesn't make it. He's shot & killed in those woods, & the crooked detectives dispose of *4* bodies instead of _just_ the initial 3.
    There's a _mock _*_"investigation,"_* it *all* gets covered up by the department, they imply the _"mysterious disappearance"_ narrative: It gets pushed by the cops to the media, case closed, back to _"business"_ as usual.
    This is *the **_most_*_ logical_ *theory,* based off everything i've seen/heard on the case, that makes *the **_most_* sense, that i could come up w/, in my *_(very)_** unprofessional* opinion. Do w/it what you will.

      Peter Rozen A lot of people that hear this expect the gunshot sounds to be louder and more distinct, but the sounds that are heard here are actually almost IDENTICAL to what gun shots do sound like over a phone (yes I've heard them several times as I used to spend a lot of time at ranges and have been on the phone with people who worked there, etc).
      A phones speaker just can't take in that decibel level without being muffled sounding. These noises also closely resemble what it sounds like to be outside an indoor range while shots are being fired inside. I dont know if this is indeed gun fire, but I can say with certainty that it very likely could be.

    As others have mentioned at 00:50 there's a faint "help me". This is after the gunshot sound and after Brandon goes quiet. I wonder if the person who says, "help me" is in fact not Brandon or someone in distress but rather the person who shot the gun who then asks for help from his accomplice. Maybe he wants help to move the bodies that have been shot. Maybe the voice saying, "help me" is the voice of the cop who killed Brandon. Maybe after Brandon was killed, his cellphone was unseen by the unknown people and they talked well beyond the call disconnected. Think about the operator and whether she would disconnect the call just because Brandon stopped talking. I don't think she would and therefore the audio was edited, especially at the end of the call so that their voices would be cut from it.

I think Brandon said “there was one guy talking to him... I accidentally ran into them” (I believe Brandon is referring to the trooper talking to one of the guys Who was pulled over) I then believe Brandon said “you got a state trooper chased into the woods”. (Probably chased by the others in the car) Brandon then says “they shot the first guy”. This could be referring to the trooper shooting the dude he was previously talking to. The cover-up could be that the trooper shot and killed Brandon as well, thinking he was part of the original group pulled over. Criminals could have escaped (I hear a car in the background ) with their injured friend.

    IMO …. I think what happened was Brandon was on the side of the road broke down and a state trooper or a couple of state troopers had pulled some guys over and ended up letting them go and then going to help Brandon with his car, when the trooper found out who Brandon was and that he had a warrant he then tried to arrest Brandon and Brandon resisted and then he ran into the woods trying to get away from the trooper . But then when the trooper found Brandon, he must have thought Brandon was pulling a weapon out and shot him by mistake . Once the trooper realized there was no weapon on Brandon, he panicked and hid Brandon’s body and then left. Brandon is saying “a state trooper pulled some guys over” but there’s a distorted connection which causes it to sound like “stapper” . But this was most definitely a cover up done by a state trooper whether law enforcement knew it was or not. If they did help the trooper cover up the death of Brandon then they altered the phone call but if they didn’t know about the cover up then it was just a bad connection or distorted connection.

    It almost sounds like "Yes, I'm in the middle of a field. This guy pushed some preaching guys over".

    Definitely sounds like state troopers pulled the first guy over and he gets caught in the crossfire and runs into the fleeing fugitives, and there's a shootout, the fugitives or maybe even the cops could have shot Brandon lawso thinking he was one of the cops/fugitives depending on who you think shot Brandon

    Definitely stumbled upon something, what he said made sense I mean how ironic when his brother got there it was in fact a cop on the scene who said he was there because someone reported Brandon’s car in a dangerous spot , hmmm good excuse where Is the recording of the person reporting the car in a dangerous spot ??? The cop needs a polygraph test , and search the property that the sheriff owns
