Even though his alt forms are frankly somewhat ugly, i do have to give hasbro props for this idea of a triple changer or quadruple changer Megatron. I don't hate the alt forms at all. They appear unfinished but i love them anyway
To my knowledge, G1 (and apparently the Knightverse) Megatron and Heatwave from Rescue Bots are some of the only Quadruple Changers in Transformers Canon.
I wasn't even expecting this for a Studio Series, but now it has three milestones: the first Triple Changer, the first secret alt mode figure, and the first-ever multichanger since Titans Return Sixshot!
@@Steven-d7c5z do you not understand what the comment meant by "secret alt mode"? If someone can come up with a fan-mode that doesn't add other bot parts to it, it's basically a hidden alt mode
this figure is basically (apart from it's alt modes) perfect already, so it means that if a Model Kit ever comes out, it'll probably only include screwcovers, and accessories (aka his mace, and/or a shorter cannon for his back)
What I love about this toy is that you're able to change him into his ACTUAL concept alt mode, which is more of a tank car combo rather than just a straight up tank, which is awesome
It definitely has some merit. If I can get my hands on this concept art Megatron, I would. It looks much better than any of the other Bayformer versions, and the alt.modes are still Cybertronian enough for him to transform into, compared to the other vehicles he turned into in the previous live action movies (that truck mode doesn't count).
If I remember correctly, someone also found a way in which it can be transformed into the car that according to the conceptual arts it was going to be transformed and not into the tank, of course it looks strange but it is something😅
Genuinely this figure looks awesome. Can't wait to get him here in February. His robot mode looks gorgeous, and the alt modes look like they'll be fun to transform him into
Super unexpected but pretty cool. Hasbro be like, we can't officially release him as a gun but maybe the collectors will figure it out. Getting him in early February and though I may transform him either once or twice, the real value I feel is in his nicely painted/articulated robot mode which he will probably stay in.
Well done PvP! I was messing a bit with the figure in this gun mode and noticed that the upper hip skirt could be folded up to give the appearance of a gun sight. Also, i decided to transform the handle part into the tank transformation to hide the foot sticking out (this unfortunately makes the handle a little short but helps visually), and finally i folded out both wings to cover up some clutter. Try this out to see if you like it too.
I like to think of this form as an actual full sized turret, maybe like an anti aircraft one that Cybertron bases would have. Would certainly be very intimidating
Getting this in hand and he's amazing. I can't help but feel there's a nicer positioning for the arms/chest plate to get it more centralised/fleshed out instead of that central hold from both arms, just need to play with it more till we find it.
There's also a fan mode for his concept art alt mode, that tron like tank with turret on side. I love how fanmodes are better than anything official. (sometimes I wish that yt allow to upload photos in comments but then I remember why it's a bad idea)
Ngl ik you already seen or we already seen the leaked sunstreaker bbm concept art and all i can say is the figure body type is actually good and i think the only i hate on it is how undetailed his body is and unpainted, he doesn't look like an la he mostly looks like animated
The fact that they kept this mode a secret really shows how much passion they put into making this figure in general. Makes me excited to see if Transformers One makes an omage to the gun mode in some way.

I’d be content with an accurate accessory piece for other figures to hold paired with a close as possible G1 Megatron. I don’t feel a need for a gun mode, especially since he shrinks down to be held.
In the US, Megatron Can’t Transform into a Gun Anymore due to Toy gun legislation passed in the late 80s, But it’s nice to see artists and sculptors try to find a workaround so they can technically sneak in his gun mode
We need a "Basically" counter for this episode. This was a great little addition. I don't think I'll be getting this guy but I hope this helps some people who were on the fence decide if they want the Bumblebee movie Megatron, thanks for the vid!
I’d probably think it was unintentional, if it wasn’t for the skirt flap turning into the trigger. There’s no way this wasn’t atleast thought of when designing the figure

Just found this figure and I’m so glad it can do it. The other two forms aren’t great despite my love for the robot design. This makes it so worth it.
a few upgrade pieces for the empty spaces and to thicken up the legs just a bit and yep pretty damn cool!

This looks 1000000x better than a tank or jet mode. The tank and jet mode appeal only to newer transformer fans that don't appreciate G1.

You should do videos for the other fan modes the mimic the concept alt modes.
You can flip out the tip of the wing of the left leg to cover up the gap and flip out the thigh cover as like the “hammer” of the gun.
