cod mp28 fires at 1000 rpm actually which still pisses me off, just switch the every single statistic between the mp28 and ppsh except the magazine size and they're going to be accurate.
MWR kept that intact, thankfully. 1.4 is perfect. Also IW has the tactical moshpit playlist, where not only is health slightly reduced to 70 (certain guns also have their damage modified for balancing reasons) but headshot damage is double or 2.1x normal damage, which is crazy.
Froshe Fresh M1A1 is one of my most used rifles and I mainly playHardcore now. Even I know that gun can't 2 shot point blank. It's always a 3-4 shot gun in Core.

Why are they adding goofy mechanics to WW2? BO3 shotgun mechanics that feel inconsistent or Advanced rifling doesn’t apply to the first drop off range.
They are asking if different optics effect the recoil/any other stats of the guns. I think it is more of a "feel" thing though and doesn't have to do with the actual recoil.

I don’t know if you have realized, but 2 smg’s shoot faster than this gun in the game. That’s senseless since this was the smg with the higher rate of fire from WW2.

Speaking about glitched weapons, i have seen the MG42 Devil's Piano with a monstrous view kick when the extended mag is attached. There's a video about it.
Just wanted to point out a mistake. Driftor said that headshots make no difference in shots to kill. Technically if you hit 5 headshots at the lowest damage range you're gonna get a 5 shot kill instead of 6. 19 * 1.1 = 20.9. Which goes into one hundred < 5 times. Also at the second to worst damage range you can kill in 4 shots instead of 5 if you get 4 headshots. 23 * 1.1 = 25.3. Which goes into one hundred < 4 times.
Really appreciate giving us two choices for recommended set-ups, sets the line for certain playstyles, and gives a better idea of what players who play like you should use
I still cannot get over how every smg sounds the same when you put on the suppressor. they fire different rounds and should not sound the same. laziness at its finest
My ppsh class setup: Infantry division Basic training- Hustle Attachments: Grip, extended mag, rapid fire. You can substitute grip for steady aim or quickdraw. But this class has gotten me far and I think its the best setup for killing quick and rushing.
I have pretty much the same setup but instead of Infantry I run it with Mountain, Primed for the extra attachment (used to be Gunslinger) and steady aim.
There's a Treyarch version of the Ppsh 41 in Zombies in the Final Reich with ww2 aesthetics and the ammo and fire rate of the Waw and you need to find the 4 bowls in the map then drop just one jolt then the money will appear after that go to the box it will take some tries and when you Pap it, the camo is silver not like all the other Pap weapons in ww2 The First one is Found near the SVT 40 wall buy and the Door to open The second is found in the opposite area near the M1928 Wallbuy The third is found in the Area near the Bar Gun wall buy and where you defend and collect the tesla core The Fourth is found near Kugelblitz or Double Tap Sadly the original has 70 rather than 71 but the Pap has 115 bullets and 690 ammo which follows the Bo3 method The gun is named "the classic" and its upgrade is "Babushka"
You said towards the end it doesn’t have a dominant attribute... even though you just pointed one out like a minute beforehand. The clip size IS a serious plus factor. Being able to make the mag 52 is an amazing feature to this gun and a very solid attribute.
shinyhunter110 no, those definitly don’t have more recoil. The devils piano is one, it’s EXTREMELY noticeable. When you use it, woh extended mag, the recoil is so high the gun becomes unuseable
The easiest way to determine if people are going to use something is if it fires fast and/or can 2-3 shot people at most ranges. Biggest handicap, biggest usage .
I think people have just gotten use to spawning in and going left right or middle.. finally when a cod comes out with maps where you can think flank in more ways thank just going left or right or middle. Players complain.
Well if that was the case then the maps would make sense, previous cod maps have a dominant weapon whilst in ww2 they are punishing for rushers and you'll go from a shotgun smg paradise to open ground were assault rifles dominate into another area for smgs. Rushers can't rush because of this, a good example of this is that one map set in the table of the city. I don't even know it's name haha. It's why I like Gustav cannon because atleast that map is all good for a weapon class, although I still think it's also pretty awful.

The Snake II is a pretty good heroic variant the sights are good and I feel it kick more without the suppressor and less with the suppressor but that's me
This gun is a jack of all trades smg. What is neat is the reload on this. I main the airborne division and it's easy to pick people off with the ppsh. With the silencer and hustle it's a plug and play class i use for both casual and ranked modes. Great smg all around.
The only reason I picked up this weapon is because it reminded me of the PDW from Black Ops 2. Put some steady aim suppressor and extended mags then just spray. The only thing I’m missing was Laser attachment for hip fire but that doesn’t exist in this game o.o
the variant, devil's piano, for the mg42 is diff. the normal and the zipper iron sights work fine. for some reason the devil's piano iron sights cover the target. it is absolutely diff. prolly a glitch
I love the ppsh. I got 1,300 kills within the first week of the game. I honestly don't know why people don't put the suppressors on the guns ( using the airborne and smg class together )
Hey Drift0r, I don't think I've seen a vid regarding variants. Do you know if the weapon variants have special attributes or characteristics like previous CoD games? WW2 seems like the only advantage to variants are a small boost to XP or a different look. There are no stats shown (that I can see) that show if any attributes are changed with the variants.
You forgot to mention it has better handling than other SMG's (according to Ace). ADS time is 200 ms and sprintout time is 225 ms. Most SMG's have 250 ms ADS, 250 ms sprintout. This makes the PPSH the second fastest killing SMG (after the Waffe) in the game when going from sprint to ADS
Optics affect the stat accuracy of guns when you put equip them, but is that increased accuracy just for the player or is there an actual code effect of using sights (lens/reflex)?? Would love to see some testing!! Thanks!
Misery Loves Company. Haven’t seen it in a COD game for years. I thought it was a nice chaser to the more serious In Depth, but would you mind putting stuff like this before the ad in the future, please?
I normally use it with mountain grip and advanced rifling and scoped. I like the increased accuracy range and decreased sway -- making it pretty competitive at medium ranges. It also gives you increased strafe speed which I really enjoy as well. Alternatively you could use infantry (great division with submachine guns) for the stupidly fast strafing and then inconspicuous. Maybe its just me but I hate having loud footsteps. Also the more I play the game the less I like the airborne division.
@Drift0r will you please make a summary video of each class after you make the In-Depth for every gun in class the class? Summarize and give visual charts of all of the stats side by side. i.e. compare all ranges with advanced rifling, without, and suppressed. Rate of fire. Etc. Thanks in advance and I really hope you do this because no one is doing it!!
if the ppsh has a 1.1x headshot multiplier, the extreme range damage is 19 and a players health is 100. Then it means that the ppsh has (19 x 1.1) x 5 = 104.5 damage with 5 shots. 104.5>100 so it would be a 5 shot kill. Or???
Who else was tricked into thinking this gun had no recoil because it was so easy to control?? I even told my classmate «if you think it has recoil, you’re lacking thumbs» then i went home and tested it and realised it was actually pretty hard kicking, i just controlled it so easy based on pure muscle memory from other cod games.

Kevin Garcia I like the grease gun the most. I play my best with that gun and average around like a 2.3kd with it and my overall kd is only a 1.85 so I would say it’s working for me
Eric Nuval - I agree. I used to run all SMGs with suppressor until someone asked me if it makes them weaker, and now I can tell the difference even tho I couldn't before.
Imo you really dont need extended mags on this in competitive, just use quickdraw and grip or quickdraw, grip and advanced rifling if your running primed. Its what most of the pros run, i haven't seen one pro running ext mags!
Joey Anderson glad you do maths. He means a single headshot, or aiming for them, is irrelevant. Go max range and hit 5 headshots w. This gun. It doesn’t work. Therefore they are statistically irrelevant as nobody would hit all 5 headshots at max ranges
I wish the Extended Mags on the PPSH granted 71 rounds. Buff the fire rate, make it faster than the Waffe 28, but limit the damage to balance it. Maybe give a damage output between 6 to 8 shots like the old one in WaW. Forgive me that does sound pitiful on paper, but if it's firing at 1200rpm, it wouldn't be an issue. It would be competing with the Waffe 28, so, limit the Waffe 28's fire rate down to...900. The slower fire rate will make the Waffe 28 easier to control because of this patch.
Do a video on the ranking system in ranked play and the bugs (I had an MMR of 2221 with 1 last placement match which I won SnD 6-1 however when I got back in the lobby with a 1750 MMR and the final game counted as a loss)
Took me a little bit to get used to it, but yeah, this is great. Can't wait for the Thompson in depth; I like using that gun more, it feels better to me, but I perform better with this.
Have the snake 2 heroic for this gun and I just don't like it , I constantly lose 1 v 1 situations were I shoot first because bullets seem to go through the enemies

I'm a sucker for using the PPSH way too much. But SHG didn't give us much other options plus the diamond camo looks decent on the heroics

Won't the 1.1x headshot multiplier help in the 5 and 6 shot kill range since it'll change 23 damage to 25, and 19 damage to 21.
On this weapon rifled barrel does increase the 4 shot btw, so its a great choice

these variants not only have miles better iron sights but they defo kick less. they all seem to be lazers, unless its a glitch in the kill cam
I actually really like expeditionary and concussed with smgs. Being able to rush around and chuck concussion grenades is very useful

I have a variant for the ppsh called the "Duck Soup" and I feel it's more accurate than the normal one for some reason.

I think the heroic variant's iron sights are worse compared to the standard ppsh's iron sights

[4(19X1.1)] + 19(1)= 102.6
You only need 4 headshots to reduce the shots to kill at range, but that probably won’t happen because it has high recoil.

Have you ever/would it be possible to test whether player movement affects gun recoil? Since everyone generally recoil tests standing still

Surely getting 4 headshots at longrange will increase ttk, as 19X1.1 is 20.9 making it a 5 shot kill instead of 6.

Chaos To Go Realistically, improbable but not impossible. However in the video he said "Makes no difference in shots to kill at any ranges" (or some variation of such) and the maths didnt seem to add up.
Well yes I suppose he is wrong if he said there is no difference whatsoever but obviously you don't want to put the idea into peoples minds as landing 4 consecutive headshots is practically impossible without aiming each one slowly.

Kevin Garcia I like the grease gun the most. I play my best with that gun and average around like a 2.3kd with it and my overall kd is only a 1.85 so I would say it’s working for me

Eric Nuval - I agree. I used to run all SMGs with suppressor until someone asked me if it makes them weaker, and now I can tell the difference even tho I couldn't before.

The PPSH-41 certainly knows how to do work that's without a doubt!
Imo you really dont need extended mags on this in competitive, just use quickdraw and grip or quickdraw, grip and advanced rifling if your running primed. Its what most of the pros run, i haven't seen one pro running ext mags!
At long extremely long ranges head shots would help because it would do 20.9 dmg which would be 5 shots which will help
Joey Anderson glad you do maths. He means a single headshot, or aiming for them, is irrelevant. Go max range and hit 5 headshots w. This gun. It doesn’t work. Therefore they are statistically irrelevant as nobody would hit all 5 headshots at max ranges
I wish the Extended Mags on the PPSH granted 71 rounds. Buff the fire rate, make it faster than the Waffe 28, but limit the damage to balance it. Maybe give a damage output between 6 to 8 shots like the old one in WaW. Forgive me that does sound pitiful on paper, but if it's firing at 1200rpm, it wouldn't be an issue. It would be competing with the Waffe 28, so, limit the Waffe 28's fire rate down to...900. The slower fire rate will make the Waffe 28 easier to control because of this patch.
Wait up close you do 30 dmg. When you do headshot 1.1x. So when you headshot up close the enemy has 1hp after 3 hits...
Do a video on the ranking system in ranked play and the bugs (I had an MMR of 2221 with 1 last placement match which I won SnD 6-1 however when I got back in the lobby with a 1750 MMR and the final game counted as a loss)
Took me a little bit to get used to it, but yeah, this is great. Can't wait for the Thompson in depth; I like using that gun more, it feels better to me, but I perform better with this.

Have the snake 2 heroic for this gun and I just don't like it , I constantly lose 1 v 1 situations were I shoot first because bullets seem to go through the enemies
