Love the way you chunk out a pineapple. I'll have to try that on the next batch I make.

I cut the heads off and just remove some of top leaves and put in glass water until roots grow and plant them for a year and half and grow pineapples. So far I got 7 heads growing.

Hi gladtidings4all. I guess I'm going to have to try again. The last 2 times I tried rooting one they became moldy and I tossed them out. 😖

@@OuttheBackDoor you need to change the water, and remove the bottom leaves leaving a nice clean stem in water. I will post a picture on FB.

@@gladtidings4all I'll go see if I can rescue mine. I did this only a few days ago. And how often do you change the water. I just pulled a bunch of leaves off the crown and changed the water.

Thank you so very much. So many people make this such a difficult thing or cutting a pineapple with special tools. I got some pineapple I want to can up for my daughter but wasn't sure how.

I never canned pineapple, I’m going to use this technique because I have one medium size pineapple and a small pineapple. I bought them for the crowns since I live in Puerto Rico and I like water rooting the crowns and planting them. I got so far 8 crowns growing so far and with my two will be a total of 10. Thanks so much. I will let you know how many jars I will end up doing.

Hi gladtidings4all. I'm trying to water rooting one of the crowns but I'm not having very much success so far. Maybe I should stick with things that naturally grow here in the cold! 😊

Hi Micky, I can my pineapple in pineapple juice. I just buy 1 or 2 litres (1 litre is equal to about 1 quart) of unsweetened juice. Anything leftover I simply drink. I also use a chopstick to de-bubble so as not to damage the contents.

G'day jkazzie. We do drink the light syrup that I can the pineapple in. It's really good mixed with plain sparkling water! I'm glad to hear using pineapple juice as your liquid works for you. Mickey 😊

Hi learning living. Actually yes, the drawing is done. This butter video is a year old. My videos had gone AWAL and I've been reloading the more popular ones and the butter video was one of them. Sorry about that! But the contest with the snowbank is still happening so if you haven't watched that one and left your comment, you still have a chance at winning. 😊
