My request/suggestions for senior citizens' saving scheme is to make the interest 7.1% & fully tax free. The minimum age can be 50/55yrs. The maximum deposit should be allowed to 70 lakhs.
Sir can retired Defence personnel above 50 years,( working somewhere)open account under this scheme?

No tax upto 50k interest in financial year
And no tds deduct if uh fill form 50h/50g
If we want to close it prematurrly after four years how much smt will be deducted from 15 lakhs
