Triumph Tiger Cub Sports goes in search of hot air balloons and tries to outrun electrical gremlins!

A pleasant evening ride on the Sports Cub replica, this being the lively one with 9:1 compression ratio, but with a standard camshaft. The early signs were good, but while we tried to get a view of some hot air balloons - just a couple can be seen in the distance for a short while, heading from Llangadog to Llandovery - some misfiring reared its head and became gradually worse as we approached Llandovery. What I first thought may have been a fueling problem, turned out to be electrical and switching the ignition to 'EMG' kept us going and got us home, thankfully, where further checks will be made, although it ran switched to 'ON' again just before putting the machine away for the night. We still haven't been able to explore this machine's full potential on video, but hopefully, we might get to do so soon!

Nice ride out, mate. The way things are going I think we'll see a hell of a lot more balloons flying around as the climate zealots start grounding planes!!!
