presentation wise you are the best so far, you dont waste time, every sentence has meanings to it, short and to the spot. thanks a lot please do keep making these videos helps out a lot.
Hey man, I watched about 5 videos before yours on Router's. You by far, did a better job. You told us what we needed to know, gave good comparison between the different types of routers and highlighted great points that we should be aware of. I walked away from your video knowing more than the other videos. Thanks!
As a new woodworker (been at it about 2 months), I was able to build my own router table pretty easily. It's not perfect or beautiful, but it works well and the only hardware I bought for it was a cheap Bosch table insert plate, 3-pack of throat inserts and a dust port fitting. I think making your own router table instead of going with one of these store-bought tables is a great learning experience. Don't buy what you can make yourself.
Yeah, and after buying all of the parts and possibly ending with less than perfect results, you could've just gone and bought it. T-track alone, for what it is, is ridiculously expensive.
I have the Kreg router table and a Jessem router lift. It works great. The only comment is that it isn't necessary, for the most part, for the fence to always lock down parallel to the table front or t-track. As long as you have the depth of cut and height of cut set it will always work.
Garry not Linda. You are correct about the fence. Izzy Swan has videos on router tables and drill press tables where he takes a different approach. His fences on both versions don't use T track at all on shop made tables. He anchors one end of the fence with a bolt approximately in line with the center of the chuck or collet and then with a circle guide routes an arc on the opposite end. That is followed by a sweep with a T slot bit. A 1/4" bolt and a knob and the fence is ready to go. I wish that I had made mine that way rather than screwing around with and paying for T track and hardware.
You are correct that it does not always have to be parallel. I was going to cover that but had to cut it for time. It also makes it easier to adjust though.
Good video, straight to the point. It answered a few questions I had recently and gave me a few ideas on what I want in my next router \ router table. Thanks!
Hi, there question for you. Have you done a video going over the Best Routers to own with PRO and CONS yet? And if you do can you link it up. Thank you, for your time and looking forward to your reply.
I am a beginner at woodworking. I'm getting to the point where I think I need a router table. Do you have any advice on what router table I should buy?
It really depends on a lot of factors like what work you do, and your budget. My first router table was the table top Kreg. JessEm has a lot of components that you can pick and choose the features you want.
Yeah, they typically get attached to an insert and then dropped into the table. Some inserts have predrilled holes for popular routers or you can drill your own using the routers baseplate as a template.
Did i like this video? Oh hell yeah yes i did! Finally someone with a nice clear speach with the stupid background music! Like and subscribe ? Definitely
Cool video but if you could focus on the things you're talking about instead of watching you talk it would be far more helpful. Some of those pics weren't even on screen for 2 seconds. I found myself stopping, rewinding, then trying to stop again, on a one second long pic, just to see what you were talking about. It honestly got annoying. The subject matter was great, just want to see more of the subject. We can hear you talk fine without seeing you talk. Hope you understand, no offense meant.

Nobody has a shop like this one . Looks like a TV set!
It's for photos and videos so we keep it clean.
There's no seller for router motors in my country 😅. Had to modify my plunge router.
Excellent tutorial! Looking forward to the router class and getting my first router and table.
This video couldn't have come up at a better time as I'm about to start looking into router tables and the best setup for a decent price range!💯% 👍🇬🇧

@@zes7215 ??? What's this stand for?
From a list of abbreviations, it either means "what's really good", or possibly "wrong". Zes is apparently a man of few words.
@@MichaelWilliams-rf2jw Hahaha nice one, cheers for the response I was beginning to think I may never find out!
With his silence!!

Good relevant detail. Thanks.
thank you . This was a very informative video.
Great video. The one thing that might improve it would be to not assume that the audience already understands all of the jargon/terms.
If you have any questions please let me know.
Very well done video.

Yes, Kreg sells pre-drilled inserts for a variety of popular routers or un-drilled ones for you to make your own.

Does it reverse?
Can I use a battery powered router for my table
Is it possible to get the closed captioning added to this video?
I apologize, it has been slow going working through the backlog of uncaptioned videos. I will get this one captioned today.
Excellent info
Glad you liked it
Love me some Kevin.
Dude is smooth
I have a Dewalt router. Do most tables accept all brands?
Yeah, they typically get attached to an insert and then dropped into the table. Some inserts have predrilled holes for popular routers or you can drill your own using the routers baseplate as a template.

Notice, woodcraft might not sell scissors or razors. They sell a lot of fine wood cutting tools but nothing to clean up s beard like that.

Never trust a shop that is that clean..
The audio sounds really good on this video. Is the mic on your hat?
Yes it is, the beard got too big to clip it to my shirt.
