- Pokemon Horizons has been going on for 3 arcs, and has been VERY good! But "Terastal Debut" gave us an idea of what a gen 9 anime could look like. So today I wanna take a deep look as to what would be better. Let's go!

My favorite detail from Zatoshi's videos are that which character are wearing what colored uniform.
The old/game-based characters wear Scarlet since they're from the established status quo (ie, the "past"), where as the new/Horizon-based characters all wear Violet since they're the new gen/the "future".
Jessie and James are the sole exception, mainly due to them being color-based ala "Red Oni, Blue Oni," but it can also allude to their respective backgrounds (Jessie growing up in poverty but with love from her deceased mother/the nostalgic past, while James grew up in a rich household without love/his psycho-ex/the cold dystopian future).
Clavell marries both colors into his design since he's not only the principal, but also he's the "linking point" between the past and the future.
I'm so glad we got Horizons, I don't care what any Ash-fanboys say, Horizons is AMAZING

I totally agree and this stupid Fanboys need to shut up just kidding I’m not trying to be that harsh but I do agree. I mean although Ash is a cool Character he did oversee his welcome and this was a move with horizons which is honestly way better than journeys but I do suggest watching Zactoshi’ Sw/Sh series or Zanolith’s journeys rewrite

While I still believe Horizons lacks initiative, I’ll take it over a potential Pokemon SV anime with ash in it. Besides that’s what Zac’s SV rewrite is for.

@@Priyansu-qr6li Ok. To me, I always felt like the Horizons trio, at least in the beginning, lacked the drive to get stronger. Whether it was to grow in terms of strength or catching new pokemon. I know that they're not entering a league or going around regions to challenging trainers in order to enter a huge tournament like in Journeys, so there's not really a reason for them to get stronger. But I always felt like they really try to break out of their comfort zones as often as I think they should. Like I've seen plenty of times where they sort of connect with another pokemon like Liko with Paldean Wooper and Maushold, Roy with Capsakid and Frigibax, or Dot with Varoom; but they don't really seem interested in catching them and having their team grow. Because of that lack of initiative Hattrem, Tinkatink, and especially Kilowattrel suffer for it. Like I've been seeing people having major beef with Kilowattrel from feeling like it evolved too early, showing up the least compared to the other two secondary pokemon Liko, Roy, and Dot have; or calling it the new Ash's Unfezant after jobbing easily against Rhyme. I know that don't have a reason to get a full team but I feel like they should get a team of three to help feel more interesting.

Here's the difference between Ash-Satoshi Ketchum and Pikachu to Liko, Roy and Dot :
Ashketchum Satoshi and Pikachu and his Pokemon and Companions (Adventure Series):
- They travel on foot
- Ash Ketchum Satoshi challenges gym battles and participates in any event battles and gym battles and contest battles
- May, Dawn, Serena progresses through the Pokemon Contests and Showcases but fails at the final stage of the Grand Festivals and Showcases except for May
- Ash-Satoshi Ketchum struggles to win some battles and loses some then he rematches to win for his new strategy
- Ash-Satoshi Ketchum lacks Strategy and Confidence against some rival and gym battles and island kahuna battles
- Ash-Satoshi Ketchum had only some epic rival battles and gym battles
- Ash-Satoshi Ketchum ONLY won in the Orange Island League, Alola League and the Galar World Tournament Coronation Series
- Ash-Satoshi Ketchum really lost in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos
- Ash-Satoshi Ketchum and Pikachu and his companions were outmatched, outnumbered and outsmarted against three of the most dangerous evil teams like Team Galactic, Team Flare and Team Neo Plasma.
- Ash-Satoshi Ketchum and Pikachu had died too many times along with his traveling companions and Pokemon (Gen 1 to Gen 6)
- They often encountered the Team Rocket Trio and blasted them most of the time and sometimes teamed up with them against the evil team.
- Only focuses about some information and battle gimmicks like Mega Evolutions, Z-moves and Gigantamaxing
- Ash-Satoshi Ketchum and his companions encounters the Legendaries and Zygarde and Eternatus.
- Has evolved AND unevolved Pokemon
- Has comedy moments, fourth wall breaks, narrator's narrations, other anime references (Dragon Ball Z, etc.) etc.
- Team Rocket Trio has arguments from Kanto and Johto Regions, Less confidence tactics from Hoenn and Sinnoh Regions, More confidence tactics from Unova and Kalos Regions and Balanced tactics from Alola and Galar Regions.
- Ash-Satoshi Ketchum's companions had their own dreams and goals.
- When Ash-Satoshi Ketchum first meets Pikachu, his Pikachu is not attentive enough until he bonded together
- Ash-Satoshi Ketchum and Team Rocket Trio released their Pokemon: 2 to 3 Pokemon released from Kanto, Johto and Hoenn Regions while some Ash-Satoshi Ketchum's Pokemon temporarily released then returned after a long time and almost releasing his Pikachu
- The story is from Only ranked from worst to best
- Only has emotional memories and backstories of the companions' past
- They each have the regional Pokedex
- The series has Pikachu shorts and movies
- Ash-Satoshi Ketchum and Pikachu lacks focus when they're truly separated
- Team Rocket Trio Jessie, James and Meowth sometimes split then reunited later on
- Team Neo Rocket used Pokemon for huge rage and power
- Team Galactic uses the Legendary Pokemon to change everything
- Team Plasma uses the Control Machine to mind control Pokemon and Reshiram

- Team Flare steals and uses Zygarde and Ashketchium's power to destroy and create a beautiful world with utter destruction and ends the world
- Team Skull bullies Ash as he battled in a deathless battle
- Chairman Rose and Macros Cosmos company awakens Eternatus in a dire situation
- Ultra Beast Lusamine mind controls Lusamine's Pokemon and disrupts anyone
- Has an Ultra Beast Ranger arcs
Liko, Roy and Dot and the Rising Volt Tacklers (Modern Day Series):
- Rides the Brave Olivine while traveling
- The Explorers Ametheo and the other two were a more serious evil team and rival in the Paldea Region
- The other members of the explorers were more evil and very confident and high ranked rather than the other evil teams of the past Generations
- Liko and Roy have the pendant necklace and the Ancient Pokeball
- The encounters of the six heroes of Pokemon and the legendary shiny Rayqueza happened
- Has the Tarastialization gimmicks and information during the Academy activities
- They ALSO do the Victory Road Gym challenges in the Paldea Region as they win some and lose some, each battle the gym leaders with strategy and rematch tactics rather than a single person
- Has slow evolved Starters and Pokemon at later time
- Captain Friede first meets Pikachu and catches him for his new adventures and rival battles.
- The Rising Volt Tacklers has similar dreams and future goals they're part of.
- The story improves every time
- Liko almost released her starter then returned to her
- Has Liko's narrations from her previous adventures
- Liko, Roy and Dot and Friede and the Rising Volt Tacklers courageously and actively counteract against the explorers without outsmarting and outnumbering them.
- Has each The Rising Volt Tacklers member's terrible past memories and true backstories
- Has the Rotom Dex in the Paldea Region and past regions
- The new series has a split movie parts
- Captain Pikachu and Friede saves both Liko and Roy while in battle or peril
- No fourth wall breaks, instead events from the previous episodes
- Spinel and the Explorers plot something more sinister and as darker as Team Star
- Ametheo is soon to be an Anti-hero or true rival with his companions.
I hope Arven returns with a voice actor and the two box art Legendary finally appearing for a bit . Properly meeting Liko & gang. That's all I want from the Horizons writers.

@@Zanolith Yeah I love Zac's SV rewrite so far, but I think it also adds into why ash coming back to Horizons wouldn't work. Because people would be more interested in Ash instead of Liko, Roy, and Dot.
@@Zanolith Zac has a lot of sandbox to be creative with. It'll be challenging, but he can do it.
I wonder how the entire anime seasons would have been like if they retired Ash after Kanto? And have the male trainers of each generation be the protagonist? 🤔
This video just reminded me. What happened if your four part series about an idea for a Scarlett and Violet Anime. It was never finished after the first two parts.
If only the writers of Horizons did Journeys. We probably would have gotten more Galar Region spotlight and Generation 8 content. And better world tour.

But Great video bro!! Horizons is doing what journeys couldn’t and doing it effectively. Letting Ash go was still the right call because now we’re this unpredictable passion project from the writing staff and animators and directors and it’s amazing.
To be honest, I kinda liked Pokemon Horizons anime more than the past seasons of the anime.
Ash Ketchum did what he became, the Pokemon Master with his Pikachu.
He had a very terrible start in Kanto Region especially the first encounter against Team Rocket Trio Jessie James and Meowth. Some battles are scripted as a cheat code for Ash Ketchum like the one against Brock and some are ok and amazing. He progresses throughout from Kanto to Galar Regions and kept some of his starters unevolved except for his Charizard-Lizardon, Sceptile, Infernape,Tortterra, Greninja and Incineroar (probably).
He even struggles against any evil teams with his companions so far from Johto to Alola Regions and probably Galar Region. He won and lost in any events like he won against his Rival Paul in the Sinnoh League, lost and nearly to Alain due to final attack results in the Kalos League, etc. Thus, he eventually died and risked his life several times that Ash Ketchum fans never cared.
Liko, Roy and Dot however, is a different story. They progress through Paldea and Galar Regions, joined the Rising Volt Tacklers, battled against Friede's Rival Ametheo, evolved and caught their starter and newer Pokemon, etc.
The plot twists of Pokemon Horizons and character development improves every time while Ash Ketchum and his companions doesn't but has their own personalities in every Region in order and at least there are some plot armour scenarios from Pokemon Indigo League to Ultimate Journeys.
Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion personally I enjoy horizons but at the same time I would've love to see a scarlet and violet series, Liko, Roy, and Dot are refreshing and enjoyable but honestly ash had something that they lack. But honestly horizons is just fine without him in it. Personally I would have Pokemon horizons and make a scarlet and violet series with ash as the protag and have them crossover. And while I did make a horizons team for ash that was just for fun. I miss Ash sure, but Him Not being in horizons is ok with me, What would he even do if was there all I can think of is the mentor role. (Also I do NOT find Ash boring I have a blast watching him.)

I feel that some loose ends were left untied when Ash's final season concluded. After I watched RUclipsr "The Ronin Clan" video on every problems with Journeys.
Oh well, unfortunately. But at least Ronin is catering to the disappointed hardcore longtime fans with his Journey rewrite.

Ok here me out ok now just imagine in a Au world what if we got a Pokémon horizon series where we still get liko Roy dot still as the main characters in the anime and for the people who want more ash and pikachu they would be a spinoff manga where ash and pikachu finish of their quest to become Pokémon master and then later on they would appear in horizon as a legendary character who would be the last challenge for liko and Roy to overcome
An ash manga post JN would be cool but idk about linking it with HZ that might be hard for some people to follow
U made a great point, and I do agree with u at most points. I think ash would’ve been good for a S&V anime but only if there was a SWSH anime before. I don’t think Ash coming off Journeys than to Paldea would’ve been a good idea.
Yeah I think if SWSH happened I still wouldn’t be the biggest fan of it but it would work a lot better cause he wouldn’t be WORLD champion.

I totally agree with you in fact we don’t need Ash to watch a new Pokémon series as much as I don’t like journeys it wasn’t right moved to end his Character and get more sparkly too Liko Roy and Dot I know a lot of People don’t like these guys for obvious reasons but you know what I seriously don’t care this was the right move the Characters are growing and they can stand their ground plus we pretty much got the substitute of Friede and Captain Pikachu who is my favorite Character in this series as for a scarlet and violet series we do have some fan made where they have Ash Ketchum and like you said they’re being made by Zactoshi he also did his work on sword and shield series which is obviously way better than journeys and we got more Galar representation Ash’s Companions, and Pokémon Teams we’re handle way better but I do think horizons is just better journeys but I will have to get credit to your rewrites as well

Horizons is definitely the best thing Pokémon has produced.
Least we saw more terastalizing more then dynamaxing. I understand it was hard to animate but im still pissed about. Im actually enjoying horizons alil more then jn. The 6 herosnis my favorite of horizons. I love how luccias has a pokemon own by ash

Here’s my thing as the main character ash needed to go he’d long since run his corse. My problem is that in my mind ash should at the very least be referenced as being around and maybe appear from time to time. I’m fine with him not being the protagonist anymore I just feel we’ve gone to far the other way in pretty much putting horizons in a separate universe.
I agree, at least the anime writers could at least reference the World Champion in some way.
I don’t think he’s really needed cause the show is so separate from anything else. If characters like Iris or Leon showed up then maybe I’d be more for it
@@Zanolith I’m not saying the show needs him it’s more that I think a lot of people are struggling in part because the show went cold turkey instead of phasing him out more gradually.
