      For anyone idly wondering, with CAT/Excavator controls: the left stick swings the cab side to side, and pushes the outer half of the boom in and out. The right stick pushes the base of the boom up and down, and sideways inputs curl/dump the bucket.

    Dumb question possibly, but you were the operator on the big loader for Andrew's expansion area right? If so, I can see why he'd just throw you the key to the old Yanmar and basically say figure it out. Guessing I would also be bumping my head on the canopy. Unlike Andrew.

    I hate cat pattern, the first thing I did when I bought my machine was change it over. I couldn’t deal with it, to the point of being flat out dangerous…..
    You did better than I would have.

    • @WildAcresFarms
      @WildAcresFarms 2 года назад

      If you’re ever going to operate fullsize excavators, it’s best to forget backhoe/deere entirely and learn excavator/cat pattern controls. Likely not relevant to you, but possbily helpful for anyone reading this. I run CAT controls exclusively, and this backhoes mess ME up instead. 😂

    • @loveistheanswer8137
      @loveistheanswer8137 2 года назад +1

      Most modern excavators can be switched to either pattern. I learn on s backhoe with JD controls. Just can’t seem to get used to Cat. I still own the backhoe after 23 years. It’s too late to change now. I own an excavator as well.

  • @lonnielengkeek7

    If you put the push blade down on the front of the mini excavator, it won't Shake quite so much

    • @CerebralAilment
      @CerebralAilment  2 года назад

      Yeah - its still pretty shaky for me. I'm not used to the controls just yet. Plus where they were straight hydraulics, the bigger Volvo's I've used are much smoother being pilot.

However it’s great to see the RUclips community looking out for Andrew’s work. Meantime, I would urge folks to like and comment on cerebral alignment’s videos.
