No reason I know of to have Avenatti on any broadcast. Michael Cohen was definitely a bad guy, but when he was held accountable, he took accountability, told the truth and changed his ways for the sake of all concerned, including his wife and children. He served his time and has worked diligently to go forward on a respectable, decent path. He has grown stronger as a result of this. He is quite intelligent, which Trump's lawyers do not seem to be. When he testifies, I believe the truth will be on his side.

Let's take a moment to reflect on the former president's legal strategy. He's not saying he's innocent. He's not saying he didn't break the law. He's saying he can commit any crime he wants to because he has 'presidential immunity'.
That's exactly what's he saying..He is innocent. Democrat's lawlessness is staggering. Dems trying hard to "apply" legitimacy to this nonsense and Trump gains on it. I like that.
I made this point to a friend of mine recently, If SCOTUS rules that Trump has immunity, then LEGALLY that would mean Joe Biden could do whatever he wanted while in the presidency and not be prosecuted. The look that came across his face was one of bewilderment, like he hadn't thought of that.
It's amazing how much evidence is available, and tRump's not in custody. Any other American with charges so serious would be in jail with no bond.

He promised to reduce illegal immigration and he did, vetting process was moved to Mexico which provided 28,000 soldiers to oversee the new policy and the United States did not pay a dime.
President Trump promised to make the United States economy prosperous and he did.
He dismantled ISIS, while Obama only threatened to draw a red line.
President Trump rebuilt our military and created a Space Force.
He helped create Operation Warp Speed which came out with a vaccine within a year, which many thought would be impossible.
President Trump signed into the law the First Step Act, which allowed convicts (predominantly blacks who served over half their sentences for non-violent crimes) out of prison as a second chance with training.
Abraham Accord in the Middle East, which created peace in the region and therefore was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Record low unemployment for all minorities in this nation. Second lowest unemployment for women.
President Trump stopped North Korea from making nuclear weapons and made them meet South Korea, the first time the Korea's ever met.
He made the world a peaceful place for the entire 4 years making America great, working for the People and not for the special interest groups, despite being harassed, distracted, viciously attacked, and sabotaged by the left wing MSM, Big Tech, and hostile congress.
He is the most honest and effective president we have had by far.

What Ari finds relevant is interesting to me. Cohen was considered by multiple federal courts and officials to be credible.

People keep saying “Trump cannot pardon himself in this case”. What the actual FLUFF! Why on earth would it be policy for any POTUS to be able to pardon HIMSELF for a crime he committed. What kind of weird country is the USA?
It isn't a "policy" for a president to be able to pardon himself. It's something that was never contemplated or imagined by the founding fathers, so it never occurred to them to specify that he can't. Whether he can or not is hypothetical at this point--it's never been done, so he'd need to try it and then have the courts weigh in.
The USA does not have a policy that a POTUS or even a former POTUS can pardon himself. That's what trump wants to happen.

This case is a STATE case. Pardons and commutations in STATE cases come from GOVERNORS. Trump is many things but he is not the Governor of New York.

I don't think it would make good sense for them to give any person absolute immunity. trump has said he would become a dictator on day 1 if he regains the WH; dictators do not need other legislative or judicial bodies - dictators themselves are the law. If they said trump had immunity tomorrow, it would also apply to Biden now and there would be nothing to stop him from dismantling the Court or modifying it outside of the process spelled out in the Constitution. He could have trump disappeared too and all of it would be legal if the SC decided a president has absolute immunity for criminal activity.
