I cannot believe how much more badass Klaudia is in 2 and 3 compared to the first. I didn't have anything wrong with the flute attacks, but seeing her fly into battle with the bow and land those amazing combos is just SO satisfying every single time
I'm so happy that Atelier games are getting more popular as they're all good to great games. Ryza is like Final Fantasy VII, in that it introduced a lot of new gamers to the series. At least that's what I think.
Happy to hear Atelier Ryza 3 is a great conclusion. Also enjoyed the open world in Firis, so happy they decided to try Open environments again and improved it for Ryza 3. I love the synthesizing element in Atelier games.

0:25 There is also the Atelier Iris which is a trilogy, but there were 2 different Iris'. One in 1st and 2nd game - she wasn't playable (only played a major role in a story) and the other which was a main and playable character in the 3rd game. Both of them looked kinda the same.
I love the world and characters of Ryza most but the combat never really clicked with me at all. I’m a bit concerned to hear it’s gotten easier with shorter battles, but I might give it a shot and just play on the highest difficulty.
I really don't get how people don't like the combat in Ryza. It's like if turn based battles, Paper Mario battle actions, and an action RPG battle system rolled into one. It's easily the best Atelier battle system, and I've played at least 4 other games in the series. (Annie, Rorona, Ayesha, Escha and Logy)
@@infamousincubus2888 Just keep in mind that the battle system improves the further along in the game you get. Levelling actions (in the first game at least) makes you hit more when you time button presses. It can be fast and hectic if you really master the battle system.
Something memorable about this series is that (at least in Europe) it never goes on sale 😂. I've been trying to snag the 2nd one but it's perpetually at 50 euros
People are joking about tighs and so on but For me liking the characters personalities and their adventures is what made me fall in love with them And it is really sad seeing them for the last time :(
I'm glad they replaced the flute for an actual weapon, no matter how fast Klaudia was in AR1, the animation for the flute was so slow, it felt like ages for her to finish an attack.
I own the first two but haven't finished them. I played enough of Ryza 1 to know the characters. I might do what I did with Xenoblade 3(finished 1/DLC and half of part 2), cut right to part 3 and actually play it. I heard that Ryza 3 has a decent recap of the first two games as well.
@@MuffHam it’s very expensive and may make the difference between a game being able to get a sub translation at all or not. JRPG’s are niche and Atelier is niche within that genre. Not complicated to understand.

You can cycle, but that the worst part because you must timing the cycle correctly for blocking to prevent your teammate from dying It'll easier than ryza 2 tho coz in ryza 3 the blocking mechanism is perfected
I've played the first hour and I like it. But I had to stop myself, because I havent played the other 2. So I will play this once I'm done with the other 2 first.
lol its allways the best entry of this series when I look at any on atelier series review. I am looking into sometimes trying this genre but its really not my usual cup of tea so i am very suspicious
If you enjoy or can look past turned based combat, good story, japanese-only language, party management, dungeon diving and this kind of graphic then I'd say you'd enjoy it. The only absolute MUST (imo) is that you enjoy crafting because there's so much of it. It can get quite complicated but I think they've always done a good job at explaining the mechanics thoroughly
One last adventure at 21 years of age. Isn’t a bit early for her to retire? Not saying a trilogy isn’t enough I just think it is a bit strange to talk of it as her last adventure at that age. I got the PS5 version of this to fully enjoy the graphics despite having the second game on Switch.
