Is there perhaps an option in the settings that keep it more stable?
If not, hopefully there will be an update.

Same! I actually heard about this one coming out a while ago and heard great stuff so I bought the first 2 in hopes that I’d beat them in time to get this one on release. But between Pokémon S/V, Octopath 2, Harvestella, and my crippling addiction to Stardew Valley, I just haven’t had the time to get through them yet. I’m SO excited to be honest though. It’s nice to know that I already enjoy the gameplay and characters and that I still have 2 and a half more games to playthrough!

@@KingK1421 the digital is still $60 on the Nintendo shop but I got the physical copy on Amazon for $30-35. There’s DLC season pass for an extra $60!! I bought it for the first 2 games and sincerely regret it. The story is short and not voiceacted. I just wanted the extra outfits and found out later that I could’ve bought them individually for like $2. I did like the separate character stories like Klaudia’s but the summer beach island DLC story was NOT worth the price of an entire other game. So if you do plan on getting the first one, I suggest looking into the DLC to see if it’s something you’d like and if not, you can always buy the extra clothes/weapons skins, and individual character extra stories all separately so you don’t have to spend more than $4 tops at a time. I’m only saying this in case it helps you or anyone else because I wish I had looked into it more before I bought it. Excellent game if you like jrpgs and crafting, terrible DLC lol. Best of luck ! I hope you’re able to find it on Amazon or elsewhere for cheap. It’s still $35 in my area but I don’t know where you live or anything. I hope you get to play this amazing series. And if you do- it’s great to know that you have all 3 games to loll forward to playing!

My entry into adulthood has just been riddled with goodbyes to a lot of things in my life from major to minor. It really hurts every time. Thank you for sharing this. I believe that the entire Secret trilogy is special because we've all grown with Ryza and her friends. I’d totally miss out on the character development, which is one of my favorite aspects of RPGs. • @BacklogBattle

There’s a particular story point near the beginning that addresses a story from the first game that leads to one of the characters to act downtrodden and douchey in the second that gets lost if you don’t play the first game. 1. A huge backlog
1.5. inability to finish games so doing a whole trilogy doesn't seem possible
    2. Ryza 3 looks like the best game in the trilogy for me and my Playstyle and what I want from this series... But sounds like I'd miss out on a looot if I just jump into that one.

YOU CAN RIDE A DOLPHIN?!?!?!! Ah I’m so excited! This looks awesome! I heard about this game recently and thought it looked great so I bought the first 2 in hopes I’d finished before this one released. I haven’t finished the first one but I absolutely lovelovelove this game! It’s low stress but it’s not AFK… there’s thought and strategy, beautiful characters with great stories and the combat is so much fun! I love turned based, but there’s a lot you can do with the turn based combat here. I really enjoy the different aspects they’ve brought to turn based combat. I enjoy the challenge of figuring out the alchemy. I just really love these games, this is one of my favorite series. It’s almost a cozy game but it’s absolutely not boring if you enjoy turned based combat. I love it and your reviews are always so great and in-depth without spoilers and I appreciate the hard work you put in and sharing it with us.
Edited to add that in all of your Ryza reviews and guides you don’t incessantly point out the fact that the characters are “hot waifu babes, thicc thighs” etc. I genuinely appreciate that you don’t even point it out. Every single other review has it in the thumbnail and all over the script and footage. Like, we get it, they’d cute anime babes with impossible proportions thank you. I don’t want a review to get information that I can glean from my own eyesight. So thank you for always respecting women, from these reviews, to the way you talk about your wife and get her to choose the characters featured in your badass video game women videos. It might seem like that doesn’t have much to do with gaming, but as a woman, I for one sincerely appreciate your attention to the actual content and not the visuals. Thank you!

It makes the boss encounters more intense by building up your skills possibilities while not making fight with regular monster boring by not allowing the use of the most powerful skills on such short fights. (You don't have time to build up your tactical level on low level enemies)

I'm not interested in the game (I was not a fan of active turn based combat in the first), but I'm glad to see (apart from the technical aspects) it's a great finale to the Ryza series. I'd love to try Ryza but I don't want to invest in three whole games. As well as get stuck with older mechanics and jank. Hopefully the next Atelier game next year builds off the improvements in Ryza but also features a new alchemist.
I'm happy for the fans that they are getting more of favorites, but we need a new girl to give people a place to start fresh.

Great review, Alex. Im still at Ryza 1 and very excited to play Ryza 2. However, Ive noticed from gameplay videos that Ryza 2 seems to look more detailed and graphically impressive than Ryza 3. Can you confirm this based on what you've played? I know Ryza 3 has larger maps and more open areas but considering Ryza 3 is the finale, its kinda jaring if the previous game looks way better.

    • @BacklogBattle

Great question! I think the texturing work in Ryza 3 is a lot better, but I think the colors can be a bit less saturated in some respects, whereas in Ryza 2, the palette is a lot brighter and more vibrant. I chalk it up to compromises with lighting and shader development in 3!

Very solid review of the final game in the Ryza trilogy, definitely will be sad by the fact that this will be the last time we see Ryza aside from her anime adaptation coming soon and while there are some issues in this final game and my personal issue being how LONG it takes to get better weapons, armour and all of that for the final dungeon is a pain in these games, still will miss Ryza dearly. As for Ryza's anime I wonder if they'll eventually animate her 2nd and 3rd games as well in later seasons. Still kind of wierd that the only other Atelier that got an anime was Escha & Logy given how old the series is and how well they would all work as a laid back slice of life anime.

    • @MrDarksol
      @MrDarksol Год назад

@@slashinghades7347 I may have to go back to watch the Shenmue anime as honestly, it bored me within 3 episodes. My only guess the reason why we never get any of the other games in the series in terms of anime is because they're not overly popular, meaning there would be no reason to have a slice of life type of anime involving alchemists, when by that point, those types of anime already exist. We already know the reason why Ryza got an anime is because her games are popular really popular and for obvious reasons, however whether we will get a season 2 or 3 depends on if the demand for them is really high.

@Xleaselife Nope. First, it was Iris, but the first two games she isn't a protag. She is a major character figure, but the third game is where she shines the most since that is where she becomes playable. Overall, character Trilogy is Iris. But if we talk about a general trilogy, the first three games are the first because they are centered around the same place which is called Salburg. Different protags, but same area.
It's a bit confusing. Doesn't take away how special and revolutionary Ryza is to the series.
