That’s why he’s world famous! Ha! Ok maybe that’s an exaggeration…he’s famous in my world. Ha! I’m making my first sourdough bread as we speak, he’s extra excited about his taste testing job for tonight!

This is great! I tried to make preserved lemon about a year ago with the whole lemon. As time went on, the center os the lemon started looking funky. Your way makes more sense. Why would you throe away the good part. Thanks.😊

If you put the lemon mixture (you could use the paste instead of chunks) under the chicken skin when roasting the chicken, it won't get as dark on top. I have been enjoying your videos, and I am trying to learn more about homesteading. I appreciate your down-to-earth personality. A tagine ( Morrocan Stew basically) is a good way to use preserved lemons. Happy New Year!

Hey, Chrystal. Oh my, lemons. Love them. I always say "the less I have to clean the better". Pickling zucchini are a great way to use them up. That tater salad sounds great. He liked it, hey "mikey". Lol. Omg, that asian salad sounds awesome. I'm one of the few people in my area that even know what Chinese 5 spice is. Fridge fairy. 😂 I'm glad I'm not the only one that adds dill to my meat salads. Good luck with your sourdough. The look on his face when you gave him the salmon salad. I love that he asks "is this all you made". Adding the lemon to hummus sounds great. "Smells like underarms."😂 Tahini is a waste of money when you can substitute whole sesame seeds or sesame oil instead. Hummus means yummus. 😂 Aoli is just fancy mayo. Those fries and sauce 😋. I eat mayo and mustard with mine. Massage that chicken. 😂 He didn't say anything about the chicken. 😩 I love lemon with ricotta. Poppy seed muffins. 🤤 When you take the salt off the lemons it takes some of the probiotics away. I love the pampered chef muffin pan. Sugar cookies are my favorite. I like the smell of lavender but not the taste. Break that man's heart. Shame on you. Do it damage my friend. You had me laughing like crazy this time, my friend. Thanks!

Hey Miss Julie! I’m glad you enjoyed it so much! Laughter keeps us young; looks like 29 is getting closer all the time. Thanks for the info about the probiotics. I have boughten I think 4 cases of lemons this summer, so I had you take a break for a while lest Mr. Reeve put me on a bulk purchasing freeze. However…after he tried all that food. He definitely advocated for more lemon purchases. Victory!!

You know I love ALL your videos, but I've gotta say that the ones you FEED Mr Reeve are fast becoming some of my favorites! The look on his face just before you give him the "sample" makes me think of a little boy about to get a special treat! Just. Too. Cute!❤️ Anxious to try quite a few of those recipes of yours, but I need to get some lemons fermenting first. 😜

Hope you have better luck with your sourdough than I did. At Thanksgiving, I made some rolls that our chickens got to enjoy. Then I tried making 2 loaves of bread they also did not rise and the chickens got to enjoy them. About 2 weeks ago I tried to make 2 more loaves and this time I bought some unbleached flour, I did rise but was dry and not fully, but it was good. I have used my sourdough in pancakes and waffles and that was good. Thanks for sharing.

Well…if there’s no video on it soon, you’ll know our sourdoughs shared the same fate. Ha! I recently heard you had to start with whole wheat on the first day. So I did that. We’ll see how it goes. 😊🍞🥖

Thanks! Great video! I have smelled and eaten food made with tallow that was scorched and burned. And made soap that smelled. I Really want to avoid that now.😂
I learned how to clarify it better from you. I have always just clarified it once. That’s how I was taught. Thanks again.

Love what you did with the lemons 🍋. I think I would use the lemon paste alot. Chicken, pork, and even beef. Why not, it's live on the edge. Keep the video's coming. I see Mr Reeves loves your cooking. Great job 👍

I made preserved lemons about a year ago but haven't really found a use for them. We also raise our own chickens so I'm going to start with that recipe and I think I'm going to try them all! I can tell they're excellent by the way your husband is so excited when he sees your food LOL!

I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Miss Val! I’d try a teaspoon of the paste in a glass of water and see what you think. There’s nothing in the drink to balance out the salt though. It might be too salty. I’ll try it later this evening and let you know. I bet it would be a great in hot tea with honey too!

Ok the verdict is in on the lemon paste in the water. Not so great. It wasn’t the salt that came through but the bitterness of the peel. So plan B, I put 1 1/2 tsp of the paste in hot lavender tea with a bit of honey, yep, that’s a winner!

Haha, your poor, suffering Taste Tester. Quality Control is such a hardship. 🤣 Loved this! Great assortment of recipes and uses! Have you ever made Lavender Lemonade? It is basically a lavender tea/infusion added to lemonade (and on a good day, it turns the lemonade pink, which is fun). There is only ONE refrigerator cookie I ever make and it's my grandma's Finnska Pinnars, which are a butter cookie. Actually, that's pretty much the only cookie I make these days (no Taste Tester to help me out, lol) and only at Christmas, to send to my sisters. Anyway, time to go ferment some lemons. 🍋😄
