Hi! Thank you so much for this! Curious how long do you do the first rendering? And the second and third… so you use less salt but also less water the second and third rounds? Thank you! 🙏🏼
Thank you so much for your kind words!! I wrote the amounts in this blog post. 😊 calmactivemom.com/how-to-make-tallow-for-skincare-or-eating/ I hope that helps! Let me know how it goes. ☺️ Thank you for watching!!
20+ years ago an acquaintance showed me how she rendered tallow & gave me a disc of it like the one you’re holding. I used half of it in my 1st batch of soap, and saved the other half in my freezer all these years. Can I still use it? Thanks!
Hello! Thank you for your comment :) I have read that fully rendered tallow that has been sealed correctly and in a deep freezer, should last forever. I have not tried this out and I'm not sure I would trust 20 year old anything lol 😆 Your best bet may be to try and render a new batch. Hope this helps!
I would love to try to make soap some day, not to sell just for personal use. I love watching you make soap 💙💙
Thank you 😊 Once you get the hang of it, it's very straightforward! Let me know if you do try! Thank you for watching 🥰
You explained that very well, thank you.
Thank you. 😊 I appreciate your kind words!!
