Let's be frank. A legitimate way of converting black money into white MUST MUST MUST exist. Else the unregulated cash market and under the table deals go uncontrolled and in nobody's interest. Now as far as political 'bribes' go, instead of electoral bonds, corporations should be made to buy infrastructure or govt bonds so Political parties can't utilise those funds for personal gains. The SC cannot just simply trash the bonds that will lead to unregulated thriving of the cash market that nobody can trace. There is nothing wrong on corporates wanting to see benefit of sponsoring x or y political parties. For them it is not a bribe but sponsorship and marketing. Otherwise just like the IPL start selling / auctioning Election rights and sponsorship to corporations and the election will be conducted at Zero cost to the taxpayer.

@@greenrico10 electoral bonds are designed to reduce black money spending in elections. You can't buy electoral bonds with black money because you need to furnish PAN to buy the bond. It is intended to protect the anonymity of bonds because it will save donors from persecution of political parties. Quid pro cases are very difficult to prove in any ways.

All good as SC has stopped E bonds.....but now how these funds\donations will be tracked in future????.....no word on that from SC or from the person\party who opposed it.
It won't. We will go back to the old days of donating in briefcase. The one thing about electoral bonds is you can track them. It is wrong for the govt to make the rule requiring that the accounts should be opened in SBI, allowing the govt to have a back-door view of the bonds, while others could not.
I would say bring back the electoral bonds but make the information publicly available.
