What are some tips for people with tremors? I don’t drink caffeine, but I have tremors (hereditary), but I love to draw. The tremors will probably get worse throughout my life, they have already worsened since I developed them at 17 and I am 23 now.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I can see that being very frustrating. Well, my biggest tip would be to lean into your uniqueness and use it to contribute to your style. So let your art have shaky lines - make it your own thing -- not all art needs smooth lines. Be yourself in other words and let that shakiness add character to your work. For example, did you know that Charles Schulz (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_M._Schulz) the creator of Peanuts developed a tremor in his hand in his old age? He never let it stop him - he just kept cartooning and let the shaky lines become part of his style and its very charming when you look at it. It adds personality! Also try painting - you can hold the brush at a distance and work more with your arm then your wrist and shakes become less noticeable and again maybe develop a loose painting style thats not necessarily precise. Well I hope that was encouraging. But I can see how this condition could be very scary and frustrating for someone that loves art! I hope you can find a road that works for you on your unique art journey. All the best!

Thats cool! Weirdly enough I want to take my digital stuff and make them into paintings lol
@@RishiDraws lol you could print out the outline from procreate and use it as a Stencil, use carbon paper to transfer it to the canvas and then slap acrylics on it ✌️ that was my plan lol good luck dude

Gloves are the most useful digital art tool, and I don’t know how people can function without them
For real, after about 4 days of drawing on my first drawing pad, I bought me some gloves AND IT MAKES A WORD OF A DIFFERENCE!! They only came in today but already tried them and they work like a charm
There's another way you can do It without gloves go to the actions press gesture and controls go to general then disable painting with finger then you can draw whatever you like

"avoid caffeine"
I'm watching this while having my morning coffee lmaoo
Don't go crazy over it. Coffee in moderation is good for you. Plus, it has never interfered with my linework. (Sleep deprivation on the other hand has, so don't exchange sleep for coffee.)
I think what you want to avoid is energy drinks, because I imagine the boost of caffeine being too steep and overwhelming your brain. An ordinary cup of coffe won't do that (an espresso won't either).
@@lonestarr1490 I usually have these drink packets on hand that only have about as much caffeine as two cups of 8oz medium roast coffee, so I pop one in water at the start of my day and it doesn't affect my lines much either, but gives me a boost to focus. Caffeine jitters are real though. I've gotten them before when I worked retail XD
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Hey everyone, only a few months ago I was able to reply to every comment left on this channel-but that’s becoming increasingly hard. Its a good problem to have (I suppose) but it still tears me up not to be able to reply to you all considering you have, after all, put in the time to leave a comment--so as a half measure I’m pinning this FAQ here.
Also for all of you just leaving words of encouragement (i.e. not questions) I can’t express how much those mean to me--and just know I’m reading them even if I can’t respond to them all anymore and they mean so much to me! Cheers, y’all! - Rishi

I'd recommend not using matte screen guards. It may seem cool and effective, but in the long run it gets scratches MUCH easier and it's more difficult to maintain. Especially if you draw/take notes on your iPad regularly, matte screen guards aren't the way to go.
I agree i had one for about a year if everyday use and it Didn’t survive over a year got all scratched and smooth
Get pencil-like! Thats what I have, it's a great feeling when drawing.
@@errormachine5056 I think you might mean Paperlike, in which case that also gets my vote. Not only is it much nicer to draw on than the bare iPad screen, but it also stops reflections so I much prefer it for watching movies etc.
Yes, it does scratch over time, but not so much that it's been a problem for me - and you can replace it if it gets too damaged. The only other slight downside is that it does add a little bit of grain to the display, but I very quickly stopped noticing that.
@@miked1869 yep, that's what I meant.
I think the matte screen is good but it’s bad for Apple Pencil because it will wear down the tip of it and you have to replace to a lot of times and they are expensive
