    Congratz Meister Rudy Von Burg, I can see both you and that wonder kid Matthew Marquardt representing Team USA at Collins Cup! No doubt, If Captian Pick is not Matthew Marquardt, that will be a crying shame!! What was the "SOF" of Woodlands event? I think it was not that high? Your thoughts? He was low on Nutrition, he lost his bottles, don't hate on him for only taking one pull. You said great Watts, what were your watts? If they were 27 more than in Kona? Being trained by Mikal Iden and their approach to long distance, do you believe this was the deciding factor in you doing well at the Woodlands? But the question is: Do you have the "SPEED" to compete at EEBEEtha, Espana on 06May2023? GG!

    • @RVBthebison
      @RVBthebison  Год назад +1

      Yes for Matthew even though the 100km distance is a little different! It was 80.5 SOF. So high but not the highest. Skipper and Hanson were two top dogs. Not sure either of them could have caught me. Hard to say but they had a lot of ground to catch up.
      I avg’d 297W. I had a good build, consistent training, that was the key. I’ll have to see if I’m recovered by Ibiza time. And need to train a little too!

    • @gabeduran8321
      @gabeduran8321 Год назад

      @@RVBthebison awesome, thanks for that info, yeah no doubt that there would not have been a snowball chance in hell that either Joe S. or Mat H. would have caught you and for that matter the top three of you would have been caught by Joe or Mat. Its unfortunate all triathletes are not great or equal at all three disciplines, then you would have many close races. I truly believe like Liaonl S. and Sam L, did not want to do Ibiza because simply they would not have a chance to do well because of their respective POOR swims. And since they are already "maxed" out physiologically and technique wise, they will never be in contention for the big wins when everyone who is somebody is racing as well. So for them to go to St. George instead of Ibiza its just a copout since they know deep down in their soul that they would not a chance in Ibiza. All the Best in Ibiza.
